All that remained was guilt.
"…Nagato is already dead," Ren said flatly.
"Once Akatsuki was destroyed, his remaining value disappeared."
He didn't need to finish.
Everyone understood.
"…Impossible…"
Konan's face drained of color.
"No wonder… no wonder I've felt so uneasy these past few days…"
Her voice trembled.
"…Nagato is really gone…"
