Ren's expression tightened.
"Still not stable…?"
Neither the Rasengan nor his Chidori work had succeeded yet.
Ever since he learned the Shadow Clone Technique, he'd been using it to train efficiently—water-walking, tree-climbing, all the fundantals.
Now he was pushing higher—attempting the Rasengan, and refining a Lightning Release thrust technique in the sa vein as Raikiri.
He wasn't dumb enough to have clones do body conditioning, though. That kind of training didn't scale well—it looked efficient, but it wasn't.
"Fine," Ren said, exhaling. "Clones keep working on ninjutsu. I'll train my body."
He ford hand signs and created five more clones.
Then, in his room, he began the most basic—and most brutal—taijutsu drills.
Over and over.
No flair.
Just work.
The Next Morning
Ren opened his eyes while holding a horse stance—half training, half ditation, half sleep.
He drew a long breath.
