Roshi's eyes widened. There was no ti to think as chakra surged within his body.
His form expanded rapidly, dark red fur covering his entire body. His limbs thickened, bones creaking, and four tails burst from the base of his spine.
A fifty-two-ter monster now stood where Roshi had been. The Four-Tails, Son Goku, fully manifested.
Boom!
A fist slamd into the shoulder of the transford Roshi.
"Ugh!"
Struck by the punch, Roshi cried out in pain. "How… how is this possible?! This kind of strength… stronger than a Tailed Beast?!"
The ache still throbbed, but the Golem didn't pause. Atop the Wood Dragon, Shinichi stared down, cold and haughty.
"It's not over!"
As soon as he spoke, the wooden construct leaned back.
Its left foot dug deep into the earth while its right knee bent, aiming square at the Four-Tails' stomach... and it kicked.
Bang!
The sole smashed into the beast's flank. A shockwave tore outward.
"Gah!?"
Still in full Tailed Beast form, Roshi's body folded in half. Fluids sprayed from his mouth as he was blown back, tumbling through the air and crashing straight into the ruins of Roran.
Boom!
Roshi struggled to stand up from the rubble. With a lash of his four tails, he flung away the stone and soil pinning him.
He looked up at the nearly hundred-ter-tall Golem and the figure looking down indifferently from atop the Scale Wood Dragon.
"Cough... Back then, he... was already strong enough to drive one to despair," Roshi rasped.
"I never thought his descendant… would be just as monstrous. Even in my full Tailed Beast form… I'm completely suppressed!"
He took a deep breath. Dark red tailed beast chakra rose once more, the intense heat distorting the air.
"But… these decades of training weren't for nothing." Roshi's hands slamd together, a fierce light blazing in his eyes. "I can fully control the Tailed Beast's power now! Lava Release: Flower-Fruit Mountain!"
Sizzle!
In a heartbeat, the ground around him erupted.
Dark red lava churned outward in every direction, a churning sea of molten rock surging like a volcano straight for the wooden Golem and the Scale Wood Dragon.
The heat that ca with it was fierce enough to scorch even the Eight-Tails. Air crackled and popped, distorting wildly.
Shinichi's brow furrowed slightly.
Under his feet, the Scale Wood Dragon beat its wings and shot upward, dodging the spiraling pillars of lava.
But the Golem had no way to evade. The dark red waves slamd against its legs and torso.
Sizzle! Sizzle!
The high heat bit into the wood with a piercing shriek.
The Golem's surface blackened and charred in an instant, thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Even the Wood Dragon wrapped around it wasn't spared, the lava swallowed its lower half, lting it away.
Through it all, Shinichi stood atop the rising Scale Wood Dragon's head, expression perfectly serene.
'Harnessing the Tailed Beast's power to push Lava Release this far...'
Roshi really did have so skill.
If Kisa Hoshigaki didn't have Sahada, defeating this man with Water Release alone would be impossible.
In the center of the lava lake, Roshi's beastly voice bood. "How is it?! The taste of my lava hell… not so pleasant, is it?!"
Shinichi looked down at the sea of lava churning around him, a faint smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth. "Insignificant tricks."
As soon as he spoke, his figure blurred.
He leaped from the Scale Wood Dragon and landed directly atop the charred Golem's skin.
The instant his feet touched the scorched wood, he pressed his palms together in front of his chest and closed his eyes.
"Sage Mode..." Dark patterns quietly spread across his forehead, eyelids, and cheeks. "...Activate!"
His eyes snapped open, and senjutsu chakra poured through his soles into the Golem below.
Buzz!
Across its blackened surface, the carbonized layers flaked off.
In a single mont, the hundred-ter wooden humanoid stood fully restored, its luster more vivid than before.
The Wood Dragon that had been lted by lava raised its head as well, burn marks fading, broken body regrowing. Its whole aura surged.
From the center of the lava lake, the transford Roshi stared upward. Shock struck him mute. "What?!"
Inside their shared inner space, the Four-Tails, Son Goku, was even more stunned. 'At this age… he's already mastered Sage Mode?!'
The tailed beast's voice paused as it recalled a figure from over a decade ago... a pressure so overwhelming it stopped the heart.
The youth standing on that Golem now… the resemblance was unbearable.
Shinichi's gaze settled on the Four-Tails below. A confident smirk tugged at his mouth. "The warm-up… ends here."
He lifted his hands and interlaced his fingers.
"Sage Art: Wood Release..." The Golem mirrored him, pressing its colossal palms together. "...Advent of a World of Flowering Trees!"
Rumble!
Vines even thicker than those that had caught the Seven-Tails, Chōi, burst from the ground. In an instant, they caged the entire lava lake.
From every vine and trunk, enormous flower buds blood, shedding pale yellow pollen. The pollen t the lava's heat, screeching as it sizzled.
"It's not over yet." Shinichi's voice stayed indifferent as his hands reshaped into a new seal.
"Wood Release: Magnet Wood Dragon Technique!"
The ground cracked as yet another giant dragon surged forth, violet patterns twisting across its body, its eyes gleaming with a cold tallic light.
The newly born Magnet Wood Dragon and the Scale Wood Dragon circling the sky aligned themselves, both heads pointing straight at the Four-Tails in the lava.
Their killing intent resonated, locking onto their target.
"Wood Release: Two Dragons Technique!"
Shinichi's cry rang out from the Wooden Golem's head.
The Scale Wood Dragon's wings buzzed, and with the Seven-Tails' carapace as its shield, it dove straight for Roshi.
At the sa mont, the Magnet Wood Dragon drank in the iron sand and magnetism buried under Roran's ruins and desert, coating itself as it shot across the ground toward the sa prey.
From the sky and the ground, the twin dragons closed in for the kill! In that instant, three streams of pure killing intent converged on Roshi.
