National Guardian's Gone and We're Done Chapter 205: Execute All These Wretches Who Provoke the Mast
"Why? The Deceitful Combat Group just departed," the secretary said, completely bewildered.
Furious, Ji Shengyue grabbed a cup and threw it straight at her secretary’s head.
Unfortunately, her aim was slightly off, and it didn’t hit him.
It struck the corner of his mouth instead, splitting it open and drawing a great deal of blood.
The secretary clutched his mouth, bowing and nodding profusely. "I’m sorry, Her Majesty the Queen. I’ll send out the notice imdiately."
"Get out."
Ji Shengyue sat back down.
The secretary turned and hurried outside.
...
「Over the seas of the Great Xia Empire, a dark tide was stirring.」
Dozens of aircraft zipped back and forth across the sky, monitoring the situation in real ti.
"First, let’s swat all of these annoying flies out of the sky."
A young man wrapped entirely in a black robe looked up,
glancing impatiently at the reconnaissance drones that were making a piercing noise as they flew across the sky.
The young man’s face was pale and utterly bloodless.
As he spoke, two pale fangs protruded from beneath his lips.
He had the typical appearance of a mber of the Lighthouse Empire’s Vampire Clan.
On the largest Deceitful Ship, a monstrous, mutated fish imdiately opened its mouth, revealing rows of densely packed, sharp teeth.
Its mouth gaped wider and wider as it let out a series of strange, bloodcurdling screeches.
Then, a surging dark light began to brew within.
A few seconds later, it shot out violently. In mid-air, the dark light rapidly split into countless smaller streams.
In an instant, all dozen-or-so reconnaissance drones were destroyed without so much as an explosion.
This display made the mbers of the dispatched Deceitful Combat Group stand taller and prouder, filling them with even greater confidence.
"Whoa, another livestream? Where’s this one from? Anyone in the know can give us the rundown?"
"Why does this bizarre equipnt look so much like it’s from the Lighthouse Empire?"
"This stream is from the Great Jing Empire. They’ve already organized a Deceitful Combat Group and are heading for Great Xia Empire territory. Looks like they’re about to attack."
"Just as you’d expect from the Lighthouse Empire’s favorite son. They really didn’t hold back on the equipnt they gave the Great Jing Empire."
"Chu He has already left Xinwudao City in the White-Red Empire. He’s probably on his way back to the Great Xia Empire, so they might run into him."
"..."
The viewer count for this livestream skyrocketed.
Many viewers who had witnessed the spectacular battle in the White-Red Empire’s Xinwudao City were still buzzing and had now found a new source of excitent.
...
「The Great Xia Empire’s Defense Headquarters.」
"The video feed is cut. All of our reconnaissance drones have been destroyed."
A technician reported, "But in the final mont before the drones were destroyed, we managed to capture a photo. It shows sothing in the sea directly beneath the Deceitful Combat Group.
"A terrifying monster is lying in wait. It’s most likely the Great Jing Empire’s ultimate trump card."
The technician’s fingers flew across the keyboard.
Soon, an image was displayed and enlarged on the main screen.
Beneath one of the massive Deceitful Ships, a colossal black shadow squird, moving in tandem with the vessel.
"Everyone, there’s no need to worry. Chu He is already on his way back."
Just as the tense, high-pressure atmosphere in the Great Xia Empire’s Defense Headquarters was about to solidify,
the director put down his phone and said with a smile.
Upon hearing the director’s words, a collective sigh of relief echoed throughout the Defense Headquarters.
...
"What? That’s impossible!"
On the largest Deceitful Ship on the sea,
the pale-faced man in the black robe shot to his feet.
He had just received the latest news: the plan to eliminate Chu He had been annihilated.
Everyone involved had perished in the White-Red Empire’s Xinwudao City.
The Riemoer Clan, including their Prince and all of their core elite mbers, had been killed in action.
"So listen up. Turn around and leave imdiately. Otherwise, you’ll most likely run into Chu He, and he absolutely will not show you any rcy.
"The ssage from the Great Jing Empire probably hasn’t reached you yet.
"Do not, under any circumstances, inform the Martial Artists from the Great Jing Empire.
"Let them continue piloting the Deceitful Ships toward the Great Xia Empire. If you all leave together, you’ll present a massive target and be easily spotted."
The voice from the communication device continued, "You’re running out of ti."
With that, the call ended.
The pale-faced man opened his mouth, emitting a series of silent sonic waves.
Only mbers of their Vampire Clan could perceive these waves.
Soon, every mber of the Vampire Clan received the intelligence.
One by one, they transford into bats and flew directly out of the ships’ cabins.
The Martial Artists from both the Great Jing Empire and the Lighthouse Empire were baffled.
However, they guessed that the mbers of the Vampire Clan were either making a move early or scouting ahead.
Therefore, they weren’t alard or surprised, and simply continued with the original plan,
piloting the fleet of Deceitful Ships toward the waters of the Great Xia Empire.
Soon, two figures appeared in the sky above this stretch of sea.
These two figures were none other than Chu He and Yumizakura, who had followed him from the White-Red Empire.
"Master, I presu this group below intends to attack the Great Xia Empire,"
Yumizakura said with a twinkle in her eye and a sweet smile. "Shall I take care of them for you and eliminate all these insolent fools who dare to provoke you?"
"Of course."
Chu He gave a noncommittal nod. "I want you to make it quick."
"No problem."
Under the moonlight, Yumizakura’s form suddenly twisted, like a bewitching phantom in the dead of night.
She slowly closed her eyes as delicate wisps of Fox Fire began to circle her body.
Then, the light abruptly converged inward. Her body, as if torn apart by an invisible force, transford directly into a massive and elegant Nine-tailed Demon Fox.
This was not rely a change in form, but the ultimate blossoming of power and allure.
With a slight tremor of her graceful form, her nine tails danced like ethereal serpents.
A brilliant Fox Pearl condensed at the tip of each tail. These pearls instantly shot off, transforming into countless streams of light.
They streaked across the night sky, their speed like a cascade from the heavens, each stream carrying a soul-freezing chill.
The mbers of the Deceitful Combat Group, whether they were twisted phantoms,
or undead warriors clad in iron armor,
all seed fragile and helpless before this unprecedented cold.
Wherever the streams of light passed, the very air seed to freeze, leaving trails of crystalline ice in their wake.
As for the enemies they struck, it was as if they were cut by invisible blades, their bodies instantly riddled with fine holes.
It was as though they had been pierced by countless tiny icicles at once; they didn’t even have ti to scream before being reduced to a shower of shredded flesh and frost.
The scene on the sea’s surface was even more breathtaking.
Thousand-foot-high waves were churned up by this power.
Even the ocean itself trembled. The Deceitful Ships pitched violently in the waves, on the verge of capsizing, and the Martial Artists aboard were struck with terror.
They tried to find the source of the attack,
but could see nothing beyond the overwhelming, all-pervasive streams of light.
These streams of light were like the scythe of the Death God, rcilessly reaping lives.
Each penetration was accompanied by a grueso spray of flesh and blood. Inside the cabins, bones and wooden planks mingled, creating one heart-stopping scene after another.
A thick miasma of blood and despair filled the air. The entire battlefield was shrouded by an invisible pall of gloom.
Yumizakura’s attack not only destroyed her enemies’ bodies but also completely shattered their will to fight.
Chu He stood to one side, his gaze profound as he nodded slightly. ’Truly impressive.
’Yumizakura’s power far surpasses that of Yoshitsune and Kappa.
’And her intelligence and strategy are what made this battle so one-sided.
’She doesn’t just possess destructive power; she knows how to use her surroundings to maximize every ounce of it.
’An opponent like that is, without a doubt, a nightmare no Martial Artist would ever want to face.’
