Hearing this voice,

Ji Shengyue was jolted out of a complex storm of shock and panic.

She instinctively looked toward the source of the sound.

Ji Shengyue’s heart sank, and a glacial fear instantly spread throughout her body.

Behind her was no longer the familiar figure of Xiao Cangqing.

In his place was a vast, deep expanse of black mist, like a churning undercurrent in an abyss.

Within this chaos, two points of blood-red light abruptly flared, like spectral flas leaking from the slowly opening Gate of Hell.

The two eyes were unimaginably huge, every blood vessel within them clearly visible.

Ji Shengyue strained to widen her eyes, trying to pierce the thick black mist and glimpse the entirety of the unknown existence.

Just then, a sinister, cold wind swept by, and the black mist roiled.

Vaguely, she caught a glimpse of a breathtaking sight.

In the boundless darkness, two incomparably massive wings slowly unfurled, covered in unknown, dark-colored scales.

Every gentle beat seed to stir the surrounding space, bringing with it waves of suffocating pressure.

The wings were so large they nearly blotted out half the sky,

and each feather looked as if woven from the night itself, appearing and disappearing within the shroud of black mist, both mysterious and terrifying.

Just as Ji Shengyue tried to get a clearer look, the black mist churned again, like the breath of a colossal beast, swallowing the heart-stopping image completely.

It left behind only a deeper darkness and the unquenchable horror in Ji Shengyue’s heart.

The surroundings were terrifyingly quiet, with only the sound of Ji Shengyue’s ragged breathing and the occasional, unidentifiable low murmur,

reverberating in the endless dark and adding to the strangeness and unease.

Ji Shengyue could swear with absolute certainty that she had not seen wrong.

’Has Xiao Cangqing really turned into a bat tightly wrapped in darkness?’

After all, rumors held that the true forms of the Vampire Clan mbers were often transford bats.

Back at the Royal Palace, Ji Shengyue had once personally witnessed a large swarm of bats flying in from the distant horizon.

After they vanished, a group of mbers from the Vampire Clan appeared in her office.

Although this was the first ti Ji Shengyue had seen Xiao Cangqing in this state,

she knew with perfect clarity that the figure within the black mist had to be him.

The voice was identical to Xiao Cangqing’s, and the aura he emitted was exactly the sa.

Perhaps this was why Xiao Cangqing was able to stand so firmly among the mbers of the Vampire Clan,

and why so many of them treated him with such deference,

even developing a fanatical and twisted reverence for him.

"You can take a closer look... Although this sun is still burning with flas, look at its surface."

Xiao Cangqing’s voice continued to emanate from the frigid black mist.

In that mont, Ji Shengyue’s body was seized by two of the universe’s most extre forces, placing her in a world of polar opposites, of ice and fire.

At her back, a chill like an incomparably sharp blade silently sliced at her skin, penetrating deep into her marrow.

This cold was like a sudden frost, freezing her back completely.

Her blood solidified in an instant, her bones trembled ceaselessly under the frigid assault, and her flesh lost all warmth and elasticity, turning as hard as stone.

Her front, however, was a completely different scene.

The suffocatingly imnse sun shalessly poured down endless flas and light, enveloping the front of Ji Shengyue’s body in a raging sea of fire.

The flas danced rrily, and every breath she took felt like inhaling a rolling heatwave. Her skin let out a faint CRACKLE as it burned, evidence of her sweat instantly evaporating into steam.

The pain was like ten million needles piercing her at once, bringing an excruciating agony.

If not for the barrier of Xiao Cangqing’s power, Ji Shengyue would have long been incinerated, not even a speck of ash remaining.

Ji Shengyue’s eyes strained to look through the sea of fire, staring intently at the sun’s core.

The sun’s surface was covered in a strange, golden fur,

a fur that, despite the raging flas, maintained a surprising tranquility.

It squird gently, floating slowly, much like seaweed drifting with the current in the deep sea—leisurely, yet with an indescribable mystery.

Upon closer inspection, one would notice that this layer of golden fur was gradually losing its original luster.

The golden light would flash and then fade, like an old man weathered by the years,

gradually losing the face of his youth, leaving behind only the marks of ti and decay.

This fur was the sun’s final molt, silently recording its past glory and present decline.

Its past brilliance flickered upon this molt like a series of magnificent scrolls,

while its current dimness was like a mournful dirge, telling of the sun’s final journey.

"This golden light is the sun’s residual Life Force.

This Life Force is like when a Martial Artist dies; the power inside their body remains, and begins to dissipate outwards.

The body can no longer contain such power."

Xiao Cangqing explained slowly.

"When exactly will the sun truly be extinguished?"

Ji Shengyue’s teeth trembled, chattering softly.

This was caused by a fear deep in her heart that she could not suppress.

For a Queen from the secular world,

such matters were still far beyond the limits of her imagination and comprehension.

’If the sun really is extinguished and plunges into eternal darkness,

wouldn’t that be a cataclysmic disaster for the Human Race on Blue Star?’

Every Empire, every faction, would be utterly subrged and devoured by the tide of Evil Spirits.

All of Blue Star would beco a Paradise for the revelry of Evil Spirits—a true Purgatory.

The existence of the Human Race would be completely erased, never to be rembered by anything or anyone.

"No one can accurately calculate the exact ti of the sun’s death.

But it will likely be one year at the earliest, and no more than five years at the latest.

The Evil Spirits on Blue Star have long been stirring restlessly, unable to hold back. They have already started looking for ways to accelerate the sun’s death.

Moreover, so Evil Spirits have already begun trying to find the will of true Deities. They are powerful to a degree you humans cannot possibly imagine.

Not the molts of Deities, but the Deities themselves. Blue Star is also a living being, so they need Blue Star to die as well."

These next words from Xiao Cangqing plunged Ji Shengyue even deeper into despair.

’Blue Star is alive, too? And those Evil Spirits actually want it to die!’

"Only death and decay are the breeding grounds for Evil Spirits," Xiao Cangqing added.

Afterward, the world before Ji Shengyue’s eyes began to twist and spin once more.

That suffocating, intense nausea and dizziness rushed over her again.

Imdiately after, the indescribable heat and cold vanished along with it.

When Ji Shengyue took a sharp breath and finally cald down,

she found herself standing back in her office in the Royal Palace.

Before her was no longer the dying sun,

and her surroundings were not the boundless, black universe, but her lavishly decorated office.

The mbers of the Vampire Clan were still standing there quietly.

Zong Yajuan was baffled, completely unaware of what had just happened

to put Her Majesty the Queen in such a state.
