In Xihai City, the teleportation formation flickered. In the next instant, Lin Moyu shot out of it, vanishing down the street like a shadow in the night.

The two guards stationed at the formation exchanged startled glances.

"Did soone just pass through?"

"I think so… but I couldn’t see clearly."

"Sa here. Was that a ghost?"

"No way. The formation definitely activated. Must’ve been so top-tier powerhouse—too fast for our eyes."

"Should we report it to the city lord?"

"Forget it. Let’s pretend we didn’t see anything."

Deciding quickly, they turned a blind eye. This kind of thing was way above their pay grade. Best to pretend nothing happened.

Lin Moyu had rushed back from Kun City, making multiple transfers through teleportation formations. In less than two minutes, he was back in Xihai City.

Without pause, he headed straight for Gao Yang’s ho.

Night had fallen. The city was silent—worlds apart from the brilliant lights and bustle of Kun City.

But the lights in Gao Yang’s ho still burned.

Lin Moyu could sense it: a lingering healing aura in the air. Such a strong residual aura indicated prolonged exposure to healing spells. For original chapters go to novelꜰire

Inside the modest ho, there were three people.

One lay on the bed their aura incredibly weak. It was Gao Yang.

The other two were his parents.

As ordinary livelihood class users with stable but modest jobs, they lived simple lives.

Gao Yang becoming a Sword-Shield Knight should have ant a better future for the family.

But now…

Lin Moyu knocked.

A middle-aged woman opened the door, her face etched with exhaustion and worry.

"Child, who are you looking for?" She asked, clearly not recognizing him.

"Hello, Auntie. I’m Lin Moyu, Gao Yang’s classmate from Xihai No.1 High School. I heard sothing happened… I ca to check on him."

Upon hearing he was Gao Yang’s classmate, the woman quickly stepped aside, “Oh, you’re one of Yang’s classmates? Co in, co in.”

Inside the house, Lin Moyu saw Gao Yang’s father—his features strikingly similar to his son’s.

It was clear the incident had taken a toll on both parents.

Gao Yang’s father now had graying hair and a worn, weary look that made him appear far older than his years.

Lin Moyu went to Gao Yang’s room and opened the door.

Gao Yang lay on the bed, eyes blank, staring up at the ceiling. His expression was hollow, spiritless.

His legs were gone, severed at the thighs.

His arms were shriveled and skeletal, the skin clinging tight to bone. The sight was ghastly.

His aura was faint—so faint it felt as though he was clinging to life by a thread.

When the door opened, Gao Yang didn’t react.

Only when Lin Moyu stepped into view did a faint light flicker in his eyes. His voice was hoarse, “Why are you here?”

Lin Moyu’s heart clenched at the sight of him, “Why didn’t you tell ?”

Gao Yang had plenty of ways to reach him—through the principal of Xihai No. 1 High School, the city lord, or even by sending soone directly to Xiajing Academy.

And even if contacting Lin Moyu directly was impossible, he could have at least reached out to Xia Xue.

“It wouldn’t have made a difference.” Gao Yang rasped.

Lin Moyu scoffed softly, “How would you know?”

“Even the level 85 Healer at the academy couldn’t help. They said… even a God-level Healer might be powerless.”

Lin Moyu’s voice carried a hint of disdain, “Level 85? I’ve already killed several God-level beings.”

“Did they say whether it was poison or sothing else?”

Gao Yang shook his head, “They don’t know.”

That was the real problem.

Jiangning Academy was a renowned academy, equipped with elite Healers and Concocters. Yet even they couldn’t identify the cause.

They even claid that not even a God-level Healer could help.

The uncertainty and helplessness had driven Gao Yang to despair.

Slowly, he began recounting everything that had happened.

They were undergoing a trial in a secret realm. The one who had the accident wasn’t him, but soone else.

As a Knight, Gao Yang instinctively rushed to help.

But he failed to save the person, and got entrapped himself.

"I rember pulling him out... then falling in myself."

"It was a small marsh. Half my body got sucked in. I couldn’t get out."

"When my classmates finally pulled out... my legs were gone."

"The strangest thing was, there was no blood. The wounds had already healed."

With each word, Gao Yang’s voice grew weaker.

In that brief mont, Lin Moyu sensed that Gao Yang’s aura had weakened further.

His health was steadily slipping away.

"It’s not poison?" Lin Moyu asked.

Gao Yang shook his head, "No. I’ve taken antidotes. The academy’s Concocters had also tested . It’s not poison."

"You didn’t feel anything at the ti?" Lin Moyu pressed.

Gao Yang shook his head again, "Nothing. No pain. No itching. Not then, not now."

Lin Moyu scanned him with his spirit force—nothing unusual.

"Let’s try this." He said at last.

He pulled out a bottle of Venomous Flood Dragon’s Spinal Fluid and opened it, and a fragrant scent wafted out.

"Drink."

Gao Yang didn’t hesitate. He trusted Lin Moyu completely and downed it in one gulp.

The mont the Venomous Flood Dragon’s Spinal Fluid entered his system, color returned to his cheeks.

Lin Moyu could feel his health recovering at an astonishing rate—within seconds, it was back to peak.

The Venomous Flood Dragon’s Spinal Fluid could not only neutralize poison but also possessed potent restorative properties.

Additionally, consuming it would slightly enhance Gao Yang’s poison elental immunity.

But just as his health peaked, it plumted, like falling off a cliff.

Lin Moyu frowned, “Slightly better than before… but not by much.”

Gao Yang was resigned, “I’ve tried all kinds of things that were supposed to help. It’s always like this. Nothing works.”

There was despair in his eyes.

Lin Moyu said, “Don’t give up just yet. I’m taking you to get treated.”

Gao Yang replied quietly, “Don’t bother. You ca to see , that’s more than enough. Don’t waste your ti.”

Lin Moyu’s chest tightened. The once bright, cheerful friend before him was now barely a shadow of his forr self.

“Enough. Just listen to .”

Spotting the wheelchair near the bed, he lifted Gao Yang and gently placed him in it. Then he pushed him out of the room.

“Uncle, Auntie, I’m taking Gao Yang for treatnt.”

Gao Yang’s parents were stunned. This young man who’d suddenly appeared was taking their son for treatnt?

“Child, where are you taking him for treatnt? We’ve already tried everything… none of it worked.”

“That’s right, Child. It’s not that we don’t trust you, but ordinary Healers and Concocters are no help at all.”

Gao Yang’s parents were kind-hearted. It wasn’t that they doubted Lin Moyu, but rather that they had already begun to believe their son’s condition was beyond saving.

Lin Moyu said calmly, “Don’t worry. The person I’m taking Gao Yang to will be able to cure him.”

Gao Yang spoke softly, “Dad, Mom… trust Moyu.”

His mother looked at Lin Moyu, then nodded, “I’ll pack so things.”

Lin Moyu said, “No need. Everything’s ready. There’s no ti to lose. I’ll bring him back to you in a few days, completely healed.”

All of a sudden, the door burst open with a surge of energy. Then his Lightning Deathwings unfurled.

Lifting into the air, wheelchair and all, Lin Moyu said, “We’re off.”

Under the stunned gazes of Gao Yang’s parents, the two soared into the sky.

“He… he can fly.”

“If he can fly, he must be a top-level class user…”

“How could Yang have such a powerful classmate?”

“Did you hear what Yang called him?”

“Moyu… Moyu… Lin Moyu!”

Their eyes widened in shock.

“It’s him. It’s Godly General Lin.” Gao Yang’s father whispered, trembling.

Joy blood on Gao Yang’s mother’s face, “Then Yang can be saved! He can really be saved!”

She repeated the words, and tears slid down her face.
