Now reading: Chapter 519: Who Really Got the Better Deal? Hard to Say from Necromancer: I Am A Disaster, a Fantasy novel by Pig On A Journey.

Antares initially proposed three transactions, which Lin Moyu rejected.

After a round of “friendly and cordial” bargaining, the price gradually dropped.

In the end, the final price was agreed upon—secured by a deposit for the next transaction.

Antares handed over the Soul Fusion Grand Formation and the Soul Fusion Potion as a deposit.

In return, Lin Moyu promised that once he reached his third class awakening, he would enter the Dragon King Hall dungeon and retrieve the Dragon Bead for Antares.

But in truth, Lin Moyu gave nothing more than a verbal promise. He paid nothing, yet got exactly what he wanted.

Only after Lin Moyu left did Antares realize he hadn’t received anything in return.

After thinking it through, he muttered, “This guy is sharp.”

“But I didn’t really lose anything either. I was planning to push the Soul Fusion Grand Formation onto him anyway—just didn’t expect the Soul-Devouring Beasts to actually appear.”

“This world is about to witness the rise of a Transcendent God-level being... and soon, I’ll be free too.”

His eyes flickered with excitent. The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the novelfire

If Lin Moyu had seen that look, he might have wondered if he’d been the one to lose out.

Maybe even his promise had been superfluous.

The Great Marsh Secret Realm was a trial ground managed by Jiangning Academy.

All monsters within it were below level 20, making it a safe, beginner-level area for students under level 29.

In over a hundred years, there had never been a serious incident—until the one involving Gao Yang.

Since then, it had been sealed shut.

Only a few hours ago did ng Anwen and company arrive, becoming the secret realm’s first visitors since the incident.

ng Anwen inford no one at Jiangning Academy. Instead, he used his own ans to bring everyone inside.

The Shenxia Tower possessed nurous miraculous abilities, and ng Anwen had barely tapped into its potential.

Breaking into a secret realm was trivial for him.

By now, Gao Yang had recovered. dicine God Shu had summoned a God-level Healer who, after several advanced healing spells, regenerated Gao Yang’s limbs.

Though not fully restored, he could now move freely.

The group advanced swiftly through the secret realm.

With a gesture, ng Anwen cast glowing orbs onto Gao Yang and Shu Han, granting them flight.

“Lead the way.” He said quietly.

“Yes, Sir!” Gao Yang replied, soaring ahead.

The secret realm wasn’t large. They soon reached the site of Gao Yang’s accident.

Hovering above a small marsh, he pointed below, “It happened here.”

At first glance, the marsh seed unremarkable.

ng Anwen extended a finger, and the Shenxia Tower materialized in the air.

A beam of light descended, lifting the mud and stones away.

The marsh, barely over a ter deep, reinforced its intended purpose as a beginner’s trial ground.

Even a full fall posed no real danger to one’s life.

The secret realm’s primary purpose was to foster teamwork among students.

Soon, the bottom of the marsh was revealed, but nothing unusual appeared.

ng Anwen paused, snorted lightly, and ford a series of hand seals.

The Shenxia Tower expanded abruptly, unleashing a powerful force that swept away the surrounding mud and stones.

Dozens of marshes, varying in size, were fully cleared.

This ti, ng Anwen was even more ticulous, excavating the bottoms repeatedly and removing large amounts of mud and stones.

Finally, sothing seed amiss.

Shu Han whispered, “There are other space beneath the marshes.”

Instead of just mud and stone, parts of the marsh floor resembled semi-transparent mirrors.

Through these areas, other spaces could be seen clearly below.

dicine God Shu took out a bottle and flicked a finger, and a few drops of potion flew out, landing on everyone's eyelids.

Their vision sharpened instantly, as if they could see through solid earth into the depths below.

Shu Han exclaid, “I see them! There are a lot of Soul-Devouring Beasts!”

Gao Yang’s expression hardened, “It’s them. Without a doubt.”

Fear and hatred flickered in his eyes.

The past six months had been tornt.

It was only later that he discovered the truth: he’d been parasitized by a creature called Soul-Devouring Beast.

ng Anwen said grimly, “That day, Gao Yang must have accidentally broken through a weak point in the marsh’s base, allowing the Soul-Devouring Beasts to escape.”

“For now, don’t provoke them. I’ll seal off this secret realm completely—no one gets in.”

“Let’s search the area first. According to the records, the thod to deal with the Soul-Devouring Beasts should be nearby.”

dicine God Shu muttered, “Nature maintains balance. Where poison exists, so does its cure. These creatures should be no exception.”

With a low hum, the Shenxia Tower restored everything to its original state, as though nothing had been disturbed.

The four of them began to openly search the surroundings without bothering to conceal their presence.

This secret realm had existed for countless years. After Jiangning Academy designated it as a beginner trial site, batches of new students began entering each year.

Before arriving, Gao Yang had thoroughly studied materials of it and thought he knew it inside out.

But nothing could have prepared him for what he ca across at the bottom of the marsh—a nest of Soul-Devouring Beasts.

After a long and fruitless search, the group seed to find nothing, until Shu Han suddenly called out, “This looks unusual!”

Everyone flew over to where she was.

On a protruding rock, several pink, shell-like objects were growing.

It was clearly strange. After all, this wasn’t a seaside.

dicine God Shu remotely retrieved a few specins and began experinting on them.

He took out a portable workbench cluttered with bottles and jars.

Shu Han quietly backed away more than ten ters, before signaling Gao Yang to do the sa.

Gao Yang frowned, “What’s going on?”

Shu Han said, “When Grandfather conducts experints, we need to stay far away. It can be... dangerous.”

“Dangerous?” Gao Yang was puzzled.

She pointed toward ng Anwen. Even he had retreated; farther than they had.

Boom!

Suddenly, an explosion rang out, shaking the air and sending up a thick cloud of smoke and dust.

Shu Han quickly covered her nose, “Don’t breathe it in. Move back!”

Gao Yang imdiately complied, retreating even further.

Then ca more explosions—one after another.

Though not especially powerful, each blast filled the air with a dense, choking cloud.

As the dust settled, Gao Yang noticed sothing unsettling. Wherever the powder touched the ground, the flowers and plants withered and died.

Shu Han explained, “When Grandfather conducts experints, he often mixes toxic compounds. So mixtures fail and even explode.”

“For safety, we should keep our distance.”

Gao Yang finally understood. It wasn’t just plants—he had seen monsters in the secret realm collapse monts after touching the dust.

This wasn’t a god of dicine, but more like a god of poison.

But then again, a true god of dicine could both heal and kill.

Whether sothing was a dicine or a poison depended entirely on intent.

“What a powerful poison.” Gao Yang murmured.

Shu Han replied softly, “Grandfather’s poisons are very strong.”

Gao Yang nodded, “I can see that.”

After so ti, dicine God Shu finally stopped experinting and packed up his workbench.

“I’ve tested them. These shell-like things seem to be a kind of mineral. They contain a unique component that affects the soul.”

ng Anwen’s eyes lit up, “Then it must be the right material.”

dicine God Shu said, “Although it can influence the soul, but it’s nowhere near enough to destroy the Soul-Devouring Beasts.”

ng Anwen said, “Then we’ll have to rely on you to create a potion.”

dicine God Shu’s eyes sparkled, “It’s been a while since I’ve co across sothing this intriguing. Leave it to —I’ll craft the right formula.”

Just then, ng Anwen’s communicator buzzed. He glanced at it and smiled, “Moyu is back.”

Monts later, the Shenxia Tower activated its teleportation formation, and Lin Moyu appeared in the secret realm.
