The Darkfiend King had already lost a God-level avatar to him, a devastating loss that forged an irreconcilable feud between the two.
Ever since, the Demon King had kept a constant watch on Lin Moyu’s every move.

After basking briefly in the reverence of her followers and gathering the latest intelligence on ng Anwen, she departed, her form lting into the sky until it vanished completely.
It was not her first visit to the Human World. She knew its ways well and, unlike the Darkfiend King, did not intend to make a grand entrance.
She wanted to return alive, to bring this God-level avatar back with her.
Before long, she spotted a nearby city—Haikou City.
“According to the reports, ng Anwen appeared here two days ago.”
“He stayed for only half a day before leaving, after which the military sealed off the area. It should be safe now.”
The Succubus Queen dared not alert any human God-level experts, especially those of the Shenxia Empire.
If she were discovered, escape would be nearly impossible.
Following the trace of his aura, the Succubus Queen quickly found the place where ng Anwen had stayed.
There had originally been so houses here, but they had since been leveled. Troops were now stationed all around.
Layers of soldiers ford a tight periter, forbidding anyone from approaching.
The Succubus Queen’s figure slowly faded into invisibility as she descended from the sky.
According to the Demon Emperor’s command, she was to bring the crystal ball to the site ng Anwen had visited and activate it.
With her strength, only beings of the highest order could possibly detect her.
“What kind of formation is this…?”
She gazed upon the formation ng Anwen had constructed, an intricate and profound design far beyond her understanding.
Yet, even without grasping its aning, she could feel its boundless and overwhelming power.
It wasn’t hard to imagine how terrifying it would beco once activated.
According to intelligence reports, this formation was ant to envelop the entire Shenxia Empire.
“What exactly are you planning, ng Anwen?”
The Succubus Queen had always been wary of him. Compared to ng Anwen, she would rather face Bai Yiyuan.
ng Anwen was too enigmatic, unfathomable, unpredictable.
“What am I thinking? My task is simple—follow the Demon Emperor’s command.”
Suppressing her thoughts, the Succubus Queen concealed her presence, descended quietly, and chose a secluded spot. There, she activated the crystal ball.

“It’s done... that was almost too easy.” The Succubus Queen hesitated, “Could it really be that simple?”
A heartbeat later, the formation roared to life. A pillar of light shot into the heavens, then curved downward like an inverted bowl, trapping her inside.
Her expression darkened, “Damn it! I knew it wouldn’t be that simple!”
A tall tower materialized in midair.
The Succubus Queen stared at the tower, gritting her teeth, “The Shenxia Tower... ng Anwen, you were waiting for !”
ng Anwen’s figure appeared before the tower, calm and composed, “Succubus Queen, you give yourself too much credit.”
“I anticipated that you Abyssal Demons wouldn’t stay quiet. So, I wove a warning spell into every formation I created.”
“I didn’t expect to catch a big fish like you.”
The modification had been minor, just a safeguard, ant to defend against both the Abyssal Demons and certain unscrupulous humans.
The Shenxia Tower possessed imnse teleportation power. With it, ng Anwen could reach any formation node in an instant.
He alone could defend them all.
The Succubus Queen let out a low, seductive laugh, “I only ca to take a look. Tell , what are you doing that requires such a grand display?”
ng Anwen chuckled, “Even if I told you, you wouldn’t understand.”
“I’m busy, so I won’t keep you any longer. Allow to send you off.”
His words were polite, but his intent was clear, he ant to kill her.
The tip of the Shenxia Tower glowed, releasing beams of light that intertwined in the air, forming a killing formation.
Simultaneously, the formation on the ground rumbled to life. The two forces resonated, filling the sky with murderous intent.
The Succubus Queen’s face paled. She knew this God-level avatar would likely to not escape.
Even if her main body ca, she might still lose to ng Anwen, let alone this avatar, whose strength barely reached level 90 by human standards.
The avatar stood no chance against ng Anwen.
Still, she refused to yield, flas roaring from her body.
“Do you think I won’t self-destruct this avatar? If I do, not a single soul in Haikou City will survive!”
The Shenxia Tower rumbled, expanding in an instant.
It rose hundreds of ters high, towering into the heavens. Rings of light cascaded from its peak, sealing the entire military base.
In that mont, the area seed to slip into another dinsion, completely cut off from the outside world.
“You don’t stand a chance.” ng Anwen said, shaking his head.
The Shenxia Tower sealed space itself. Even if the Succubus Queen detonated her avatar here, not a hair in Haikou City would be hard.
Her expression darkened. Once again, she realized just how troubleso ng Anwen could be.
She would rather face Bai Yiyuan than cross paths with him.
The formation roared, and beams of light burst forth, forming countless swords that rained toward her.
Flas erupted around her body as Abyssal Fire burned fiercely, and black mist surged around her, crashing against the formation.
But no matter how violently it raged, the formation held firm.
The formation’s counterattack swiftly devoured the Abyssal Fire.
Despair crept across the Succubus Queen’s face. She knew this avatar was finished.
The Abyssal Fire was nearly spent. She couldn’t last another two seconds.
Then, her ears twitched. A spark of hope flashed in her eyes.
From within the formation, a streak of black fla burst from the ground and flew into her hand.
The Demon Emperor’s crystal ball reappeared, flaring with Abyssal Fire that soared skyward, shielding her from ng Anwen’s assault.
“Hm?” ng Anwen’s brows furrowed in surprise.
Within the flas, a phantom erged, its true form obscured, yet radiating an overwhelming presence.
The mont it appeared, the formation shattered like glass.
The phantom raised its head toward the Shenxia Tower and pointed a single finger.
With a thunderous boom, the colossal tower was blasted backward. ng Anwen trembled, his body hurled violently into the air.
“Go,” The phantom commanded coldly.
Without hesitation, the Succubus Queen fled into the distance.
“Trying to escape?” ng Anwen shouted, swiftly commanding the Shenxia Tower to give chase.
Though the phantom’s earlier strike had been astonishing, ng Anwen could tell that the opponent’s power was like water without a source.
Such an attack could only be used once or twice at most.
The Succubus Queen fled at full speed, but the Demon Emperor’s phantom raised a finger again, pointing straight at ng Anwen.
ng Anwen’s expression darkened, and he quickly moved the Shenxia Tower in front of him.
A thunderous blast followed. The tower was sent hurtling away, and ng Anwen himself was thrown backward.
Seeing this, the Succubus Queen was overjoyed. With the Demon Emperor’s aid, her avatar would surely survive.
After the second strike, ng Anwen’s body convulsed as if struck by lightning, blood trickling from the corners of his mouth.
Just as the Succubus Queen was about to vanish from sight, a streak of sword light suddenly shot forth from the horizon.
In an instant, the sword light tore across a hundred kiloters.
The fleeing Succubus Queen froze midair, then her body split apart, leaving only a blazing mass of fire remaining.
From within the flas, the phantom roared, “Jiang Yi! You’ve actually been resurrected!”
ng Anwen stood stunned, murmuring, “Righteous God… has truly returned.”
He had heard from Lin Moyu that Jiang Yi might one day resurrect, yet he knew how impossible that should have been.
Never had he expected it to actually happen, and so soon.
This alone proved how terrifyingly powerful the being in the Immorial Battlefield must be, capable of bringing back the dead after hundreds of years.
A sword appeared in the sky—ancient, boundless in aura, transcending ti itself.
ng Anwen recognized it at once: a top-tier legendary grade weapon, the Demon-Slaying Sword once wielded by Jiang Yi.
A deep voice resonated from the blade: “Demon Emperor, it has been many years. I have missed you dearly. When my body is fully restored, I shall visit the Abyss in person!”
Then, sword light blazed forth, splitting the heavens and cleaving the Demon Emperor’s phantom into fragnts.
ng Anwen flew forward, calling out to the Demon-Slaying Sword, “Righteous God! When will you return?”
He had heard their exchange earlier and knew that although Jiang Yi had not yet fully revived, it wouldn’t be long now.
At the very least, he now commanded the Demon-Slaying Sword, capable of slaying Demon Kings from across vast distances.
The sword turned toward ng Anwen and let out a clear, ringing hum.
“Soon. You have done well. With you here, I am at ease for the human race.”
With that, the sword transford into a beam of light and vanished into the distance.
