Chapter 620: The Terrifying Being Beneath The Lightning Mountain Range

Warnings erupted through his soul.

A terrifying aura surged awake, reaching God-level in less than half a second.

Half a second later, it broke past God-level entirely.

And still, it climbed.

Level 91… level 92…

It kept rising.

Lin Moyu was stunned. Sothing this powerful had been hiding here all along.

The aura was ancient and overwhelming, as though it had accumulated across countless years.

The mountain range shook. A piercing blue light burst from beneath the mountains, shot into the sky, and exploded into countless arcs of lightning that struck the Lightning Tree king.

The poison was expelled in an instant, and even the trace of law within it dissipated.

The Lightning Tree king released a joyous soul cry; it had been saved.

Lin Moyu’s expression darkened. To erase law… that ant this being had also touched law.

And judging from its aura, even if it wasn’t level 96, it was at least at the peak of level 95, already having touched law.

“How can sothing like this exist in the lower layer?”

“This makes no sense.”

Lightning roared across the space. A sea of lightning ford in an instant, engulfing the entire mountain range.

Bolts of lightning crashed down endlessly. The earth rumbled; the mountain range convulsed.

A flash of lightning struck a Headless Knight, and it turned to ash without a sound and then instantly reappeared in the summon space.

The other Headless Knights remained unhard.

This ant the lightning’s damage far exceeded the Headless Knight’s limit—it had the power to instakill.

Lin Moyu’s heart pounded. Part of him wanted to run, yet curiosity pinned him in place. What kind of being could this be?

Relying on his Lightning Elental Immunity, he hesitated for a mont, then decided to continue observing.

He had already activated the Shenxia City mark and could return to the city at any ti.

Antares’s scale was prepared as well. If things went wrong, he could retreat to Antares’s territory.

The space here wasn’t sealed, so he assud his safety wouldn’t be a problem.

Besides, if this boss had been sleeping for so long, it must be restricted in so way.

The mountain range moved—not just trembling, but shifting entirely.

Stretching over a thousand kiloters, it suddenly rose higher, as if a giant beneath it were lifting the entire mountain range.

Then Lin Moyu saw a colossal claw.

The shock in his eyes far surpassed what he felt when he first t Antares.

The claw had six fingers. The palm alone spanned tens of kiloters; counting the fingers, it exceeded a hundred.

He watched as it crushed a mountain peak.

Lightning flickered across the claw. Then, a bolt broke out and struck Lin Moyu.

A numbing shock spread through him as a vast force surged into his body. His undead army collapsed instantly.

Lin Moyu froze in horror. He had actually been hard by lightning.

If he hadn’t, the undead army wouldn’t have crumbled.

But he was supposed to be immune to the lightning elent. How was this possible?

“Could it be… law?”

His heart tightened. This was the only explanation.

It was still lightning, but infused with a trace of law.

Another bolt descended, too fast to evade.

His body went numb again, and the undead army within his summon space crumbled once more.

Then he saw the massive claw sweep toward him.

Even before it arrived, the gale it stirred pushed him backward. Space cracked in the wake of its movent.

Without hesitation, Lin Moyu activated the Shenxia City mark and vanished.

The claw struck nothing. Thunder roared across the sky.

A pair of eyes erged beneath the mountain range, lightning flashing within them.

After a mont, they closed, the mountain range sank, and the claw withdrew underground.

The sea of lightning in the air fell back into the earth, and waves of lightning surged across the ground.

Large swaths of Lightning Trees went through cycles of withering and rejuvenation.

The trees killed earlier crumbled to dust; new saplings imdiately sprouted, vibrant with life.

This lightning held both destruction and boundless vitality.

The Lightning Tree king swayed, its wounds already restored.

Its long, thick roots spread through the entire range, loosening the soil.

It wouldn’t be long before the Lightning Mountain Range returned to its original form.

Lin Moyu quietly appeared in the central square of Shenxia City, unnoticed by anyone.

Voices and footsteps reached him. The familiar human presence washed over him, and he exhaled deeply.

“I didn’t expect such a being to exist in the lower layer.” He muttered.

“It can tear space… Its strength is close to level 96.”

“And its command of lightning isn’t inferior to the Lightning God.”

“What is it? The Lightning Trees seem to be its servants.”

“I'm really curious…”

But what puzzled him most was how its lightning pierced his immunity. Was it truly due to law?

As his level rose, the world only grew stranger. More unimaginable things kept appearing.

He didn’t dwell on it. He would ask Antares when he had the chance. Thinking about it now would get him nowhere.

Shenxia City bustled as always, people passing back and forth.

In the lower layer, only humans possessed a city.

Legend claid that a Transcendent God-level being had altered the laws of the land to make this possible.

Lin Moyu knew otherwise.

Shenxia City had descended from the heavens, and its very presence changed the laws around it.

There was never any Transcendent God-level being.

Its origin remained a mystery, but Lin Moyu was certain of one thing: Shenxia City was extraordinary, far older than this age, and deeply connected to the human race.

When Shenxia City first descended, both Demons and Dragonkind attempted to seize it, but all failed.

It was only after a Shenxia human succeeded that the city finally received its na.

As for the true origin of Shenxia City, Lin Moyu still had no answer, though he believed he would uncover it soday.

He did not linger in the city.

Leaving it behind, he made his way to the cliff outside, where several teleportation formations led to the Savagewild Continent.

One of them belonged to the Jialan Guild, and since his na was registered, he was authorized to use it.

His path required him to travel to the Savagewild Continent first, then continue northwest toward the teorfall Continent.

Lin Moyu was frustrated that his leveling plan had fallen through.

His EXP was stuck at 80% of level 73, just shy of reaching level 74.

If he encountered suitable monster groups along the way, he might still manage to level up before arriving at the teorfall Continent.

He activated the formation, and after several seconds, he crossed the Green Dragon Ocean, arriving on the Savagewild Continent.

He had hoped to explore what lay beneath that vast verdant grassland, but ultimately dismissed the idea.

There was no EXP to be gained at sea, and he had more pressing matters.

Perhaps he would return soday when ti allowed.

Upon arrival, he imdiately saw the Jialan Guild’s outpost.

Sensing no trace of Jialan Lieyang’s aura, he knew the man wasn’t present and thus didn’t bother greeting anyone.

Jialan Lieyang had ntioned possibly returning to the Human World—perhaps he already had.

Unfolding his Lightning Deathwings, Lin Moyu shot toward the northwest.

He soon entered the familiar verdant grassland. The Sword Grass here remained vivid in his mory, yet now he sensed sothing new, a faint trace of law.

Though weak, it covered the entire grassland like a vast invisible net. It was this law that granted the Sword Grass its damage-reflecting ability.

“Law… again.”

“So many mysteries revolve around laws.”

Everything that puzzled him seed tied to them.

And the presence of law ant involvent from at least a peak level 95 powerhouse, as only they could touch or manipulate law.

He knew he was not qualified to probe it.

If the divide between ordinary class users and God-level class users was a great threshold, then mastering laws was the second threshold.

Each threshold led to a new vast realm once crossed.

As he flew, Lin Moyu reflected, “Strictly speaking, I haven’t even crossed the first threshold.”

“I can’t let my combat power mislead . True strength cos only from my own growth; everything else is an illusion.”

“To rely on no external force… difficult, but necessary.”

He clenched his fists, reaffirming his conviction.

In this world, only by making his own strength firr and greater could he earn the right to stand at the top.
