Antares blinked his eyes in disbelief.
Lin Moyu hadn’t rely vanished; he had severed Antares’s soul lock.
Although Antares found him again a second later, for that brief instant Lin Moyu had truly broken free from his grasp.
Antares knew the extent of his own power. In this world, no one should have been able to escape his soul lock.
Even the true Transcendent Gods of the previous age couldn’t accomplish such a feat.
Yet in that single burst of acceleration, Lin Moyu had done exactly that.
It was as though a razor-sharp blade had sliced cleanly through the bond between them.
Antares didn’t care about Lin Moyu’s speed. To him, even that velocity was no faster than a turtle crawling.
But the ability to cut a soul lock… that was heaven-defying.
“Another ridiculous skill.” Antares exclaid inwardly.
“Not a single one of this brat’s skills is normal.”
In a life-or-death escape, such a skill was nothing short of divine.
At this mont, Lin Moyu hovered in midair, his face filled with shock.
In a single second, he had traveled 100,000 ters.
10,000 ters per second was already impressive, but 100,000 ters per second was sothing else entirely.
What shocked him even more was that he hadn’t used his full strength. Less than 1% of his soul force had been consud.
His Divinity Force had already replenished the consumption.
“If I used my full power…”
Lin Moyu couldn’t even imagine the speed he might reach.
“Let’s try it.”
Excitent surged through him. Facing Antares, he shouted, “Antares! I’m going to fly at full speed. Help check the speed!”
At such speeds, he doubted he could calculate it himself. Antares, however, certainly could.
Without waiting for a reply, Lin Moyu activated all of his soul force.
Once again, he vanished from Antares’ soul lock.
This ti, 10 full seconds passed before Antares located him again.
For those 10 seconds, Lin Moyu had left no trace behind, as if he had completely ceased to exist.
By the ti Antares found him again, Lin Moyu had already crossed the upper layer and reached its end.
The repulsive force in the space pressed against him, trying to expel him from the upper layer.
Lin Moyu’s face was slightly pale, his soul force nearly exhausted.
Yet his eyes shone with excitent.
He had crossed the entire upper layer in less than 10 seconds.
He couldn’t estimate the distance—it had to be tens of thousands of kiloters—but Antares would certainly know.
Before Lin Moyu could speak, a powerful force wrapped around him.
The world spun as space twisted, and the next mont he found himself beside Antares again.
Lin Moyu asked eagerly, “How was the speed?”
Antares gave a low grunt, “Not bad. Around 2,000 kiloters per second.”
“That fast!” Lin Moyu gasped.
At 2,000 kiloters per second, he could cross the Wind-Lightning Ocean of the lower layer in one second.
Unfortunately, his soul force was still too weak. At that extre speed, he could only last 10 seconds.
Antares said, “The true strength of this skill isn’t its speed.”
Lin Moyu blinked, “Not the speed? Then what?”
Antares replied solemnly, “You may not have noticed it yourself, but the greatest value of this skill is its ability to sever soul lock.”
“Sever soul lock!” Lin Moyu couldn’t help exclaiming.
He imdiately understood the implications.
Antares continued, “With this skill, if soone is hunting you, you don’t need overwhelming speed. As long as you can break their soul lock for even a short mont, you can escape with your life.”
“It might not work against soone at my level, but against enemies like the Dreadbeasts, it would be extrely effective.”
Lin Moyu nodded and added, “It’s not just for escaping. In battle, it could also evade skills that rely on soul lock.”
If enemies’ skills couldn’t lock onto him, the entire flow of battle would change.
“True. But that requires extrely precise control. Are you sure you can pull it off?” Antares was skeptical.
Even with just a sliver of soul force, Lin Moyu’s skill could instantly propel him more than 10,000 ters away.
If that happened during battle, it would be no different from abandoning the battlefield entirely.
To achieve the effect Lin Moyu envisioned, absolute precision was essential.
Lin Moyu, however, wasn’t worried, “If it doesn’t work, I’ll just practice more. What’s there to be afraid of?”
“Fine. As long as you’re satisfied.” Antares raised no further objections. After all, this was the only path available.
Whether Lin Moyu could succeed or not, there was no harm in trying.
After a mont of thought, Lin Moyu said, “Co into my soul world and take a look. It seems like it has changed.”
Antares responded with a sound of surprise and readily agreed.
Being invited into Lin Moyu’s soul world so openly was a clear sign of trust, and Antares appreciated it.
The mont he entered, the first thing Antares noticed was a skill star core that looked like an actual star.
Among all the skill star cores, it shone the brightest, blazing like a raging fla.
It was also the largest, radiating a warm glow that illuminated more than half of the soul world.
The other skill star cores orbited around it like planets.
Antares examined it briefly, “Indeed, a 100% fusion rate. Nearly perfect. Only one step away from sublimation.”
“It can still sublimate?” Lin Moyu asked.
“It can, but you’re still far from that stage. Stop worrying about things beyond your current reach.” Antares replied, cutting him off before he could continue.
Lin Moyu wasn’t bothered. It was indeed too early to think about such matters.
Antares looked around, “Your soul world has expanded. In terms of capacity, it’s already approaching the level of half-step Transcendent Gods.”
“Not bad. Not bad. Keep working hard.”
Like a seasoned senior offering encouragent, Antares gave his praise before leaving the soul world.
Since Antares hadn’t pointed out any problems, Lin Moyu knew everything was fine.
He stopped overthinking and began training his control over the Deathwings.
Each ti, he used only a trace of soul force, carefully attempting to control the exact distance of his movent.
At first, every activation sent him flying more than 10,000 ters away.
But as he continued practicing, his precision improved rapidly.
The more Lin Moyu practiced, the more excited he beca, and his precision began to improve at a rapid pace.
With Divinity Force’s support and a 7,900% soul force recovery rate, he had nothing to worry about. He could train his skill without stopping.
Antares watched as Lin Moyu flickered from side to side, his control becoming increasingly refined.
“This brat really is a genius.”
“He’s only level 79, yet his soul rank has already reached level 93. Even his soul world rivals that of half-step Transcendent Gods.”
“His future is limitless. Perhaps he truly can beco world lord.”
“But when that day cos…”
“I don’t know whether becoming world lord is a blessing or a curse. But if one wishes to break free, that step must be taken.”
“Brat, I wish you luck.”
Antares’s gaze was filled with complicated emotions—great expectations mixed with concern.
But as he had said, if one wished to break free, certain things had to be done.
