Outside the Shenxia City, the Demon Emperor stood in pale-yellow, form-fitting clothing that exposed her slender waist.
When Lin Moyu returned, she greeted him with a charming smile, “Well? Are you satisfied with goodwill?”
Lin Moyu asked, “Are there others?”
“Take a guess.” The Demon Emperor smiled faintly.
Lin Moyu looked into her eyes but couldn't read her thoughts. Her mind was unfathomably deep; she was not soone who could be judged by appearances alone.
He nodded, “Fine. For now, I acknowledge your goodwill. Tell the details of this cooperation.”
The Demon Emperor smiled, “There are so things I could tell you that you still wouldn’t believe. I’d like to invite you to the Demon Emperor’s Palace as my guest. We can discuss everything there.”
Lin Moyu imdiately beca vigilant. The Demon Emperor’s Palace was her territory, located in the very heart of the Abyss.
Going there would be like a sheep walking straight into a tiger’s den.
The Demon Emperor naturally understood his concern, “So things must be seen with your own eyes to be believed. As for safety, you may ask that Lord. With that Lord watching, I wouldn’t dare make a move against you.”
Lin Moyu weighed the various possibilities in his mind while communicating through the scale, “Antares, will I be in danger if I go to the Demon Emperor’s Palace?”
“No.” Antares’s reply ca quickly and without hesitation.
Lin Moyu still wanted to know why the Demon Emperor had suddenly co to him, and with such a great gift.
More importantly, he wanted to determine whether Demon Worship Society mbers were still hiding within the human race.
If even one or two of them had infiltrated the highest levels of leadership, the threat to humanity and the Shenxia Empire would far exceed the 10,000 people who had just taken their own lives.
If he had never known, that would be one thing. But now that he did, he couldn't simply ignore it.
With Antares’s assurance, Lin Moyu felt more at ease.
“Very well. I’ll go with you.”
The Demon Emperor took out an exquisite Abyssal Stone.
Lin Moyu was surprised. It was the highest-grade Abyssal Stone he had ever seen, containing law aura.
The Abyssal Stone activated, and a spatial channel opened before the Demon Emperor.
“Godly General Lin, please.”
For the first ti, she addressed him by his human title—a gesture of respect.
At this mont, she was treating Lin Moyu as an equal. It was yet another display of her goodwill.
Without hesitation, Lin Moyu stepped into the spatial channel.
After the long-distance teleportation, even before his vision fully returned, he sensed the familiar aura of the Abyss.
The aura was incredibly dense, rushing toward him from all directions and crashing into his body.
A slight discomfort spread through him. Abyssal aura was fundantally incompatible with his own aura.
It felt like the manifestation of the irreconcilable hatred between the human race and the Abyss.
As his vision cleared, Lin Moyu saw dark green flas—Abyssal Fire so deep that it was almost black.
He had already arrived inside the Demon Emperor’s Palace.
Yet the place looked nothing like he had imagined.
There were no grotesque decorations or typical Demon designs.
Instead, everything appeared refined. The chairs, pillars, and ornants all resembled human architecture.
If not for the sinister glow of Abyssal Fire, it could easily have been mistaken for a human palace.
“Do you find it strange?” The Demon Emperor’s voice echoed through the palace, lodious and slightly ethereal.
Lin Moyu looked at her. She was still wearing the human Mage robe that revealed her slender waist.
“You can return to your original form now.”
The Demon Emperor walked past him and sat lazily upon her throne, “This is my original form.”
“Uh...” Lin Moyu clearly didn’t believe her.
The Demon Emperor smiled, “I possess half-human blood.”
Lin Moyu was speechless. Even as lies went, this was far too blatant.
The dignified Demon Emperor claiming to be half human? Who was she trying to fool?
Lin Moyu frowned, “That joke isn’t funny.”
The Demon Emperor shook her head, “I truly do have half-human blood, though it is not the human blood of your world.”
“Furthermore, I can tell you that I have never personally killed a single human.”
“If you don’t believe , you may ask that Lord.”
Lin Moyu remained skeptical and imdiately reached out to Antares, “Is she telling the truth?”
Antares quickly gave an answer that left Lin Moyu stunned.
The dignified Demon Emperor, who had led the Abyssal Demons against the humans for a millennium, had never killed a single human. And she even was half human.
It felt like an absurd cosmic joke. The truth was simply too shocking.
Lin Moyu finally understood why the Demon Emperor had revealed this secret.
Even if he told others, who would believe him?
And with the Demon Emperor’s strength, no Demon in the Abyss would dare question her unless they had a death wish.
Thanks to his extraordinary ability to process things, Lin Moyu quickly digested the revelation, “Your story must be quite fascinating.”
The Demon Emperor sighed softly, “That Lord should have already told you about the origins of the Abyss and the Dragonkind.”
“The Demons in the Abyss belong to the Demon Race, but we are rely low-level Demons, the lowest rung of the Demon Race hierarchy.”
“And the Abyss itself is only a fragnt world.”
As she spoke, the Demon Emperor pointed toward the ceiling of the palace.
A barrier descended, projecting a series of images.
They showed the cosmic starry sky, radiating an ancient aura that seed to record the passing of ages.
Two light points streaked through the pitch-black cosmic starry sky, one after the other. They flew toward a certain world and attached themselves to it.
Each light point was roughly one-fifth the size of that world, making it appear as if the world had grown a pair of horns.
Where the horns connected to the world, a special region ford.
As Lin Moyu watched the images and listened to the explanation, he realized those two light points were the Abyss and the Dragonkind World.
The special region ford at their junction was the Dinsional Battlefield.
Both the Abyss and the Dragonkind World were fragnt worlds, not complete ones. Even together, they did not amount to half of a true world.
The Demon Emperor’s voice echoed softly, “We arrived here within the fragnt world, carrying a mission.”
“That mission is to destroy all living beings in this world. No matter what kind of living beings, they must all be wiped out.”
“I was in the fragnt world at that ti as well. Back then, I was rely a weak Demon, far from powerful.”
“When I discovered that the inhabitants of this world were humans, I couldn’t stop the stronger Demons. The only thing I could do was refuse to take part.”
“Later, I grew stronger and stronger, until I eventually beca the Demon Emperor and took control of this fragnt world. Even so, I remain powerless to stop it.”
“This Abyss fragnt world is a part broken off from the Abyss main world. It can be recalled at any ti. And my strength is insignificant in the Abyss main world.”
“If I were to betray the Abyss in any way, the only outco awaiting would be death.”
“Moreover, the urge to destroy living beings is etched into the bloodline of the Abyssal Demons; it is an instinct that cannot be erased.”
Listening to the Demon Emperor’s story, Lin Moyu began to piece things together.
Having fully cald down, he asked, “In the world beyond, are the humans also fighting the Demons of the Abyss main world?”
The Demon Emperor shook her head, “I don’t know. I have lived in this fragnt world since birth, so I know nothing about the world beyond.”
“But the mories within my blood tell that I’m half human. Because of that, I have always hidden my true nature and acted with extre caution.”
“It was a stroke of luck that I was born in a fragnt world. Cannon-fodder Demons like us, worth less than ordinary soldiers, receive little attention.”
“If I had been born in the main world, I would certainly have been executed long ago.”
“And if the day ever cos when this fragnt world returns to the main world, I will surely die as well.”
