[Third Person POV]

The monster stood nearly two ters tall, its body covered in thick silver fur. A snarling mouth stretched wide as it growled in alarm upon spotting Luke.

Under normal circumstances, the creature would have lunged at the human without hesitation, especially soone as unassuming as Luke.

However, one thing caught Luke’s eye and gave him a brief sense of relief. A deep, grave wound marred the wolf’s body just beside its left forelimb.

That explained the limp in its approach.

Even so, the young man was tense and anxious. This was his first ti facing sothing so massive and dangerous.

Still, he knew one thing clearly. He wasn’t going to find another injured alpha wolf anyti soon.

As such, "System, allocate all my points to speed," he commanded. Almost instantly, his body felt lighter, a warm sensation traveling down his spine.

Luke took up a battle stance when, without warning, the monster charged at him at an alarming speed.

He rolled away instinctively, the beast’s teeth snapping shut where his head had been just monts earlier.

Luke sprang back to his feet and let out a long breath. "That was close... God, I need to keep moving," he muttered as he watched the monster turn toward him, still growling in agony and rage.

Whatever had wounded it had left the creature seething, and now Luke was the only target left for it to vent that fury on.

The monster growled and charged once again.

The silent forest trembled as heavy thuds echoed with every step the wolf took toward the human.

Luke didn’t stay in place for long. He sprinted away from the village entrance, unwilling to let any guard spot the massive beast, or his hunt would be taken away.

Despite allocating all his free points to speed, Luke wasn’t running much faster than a normal grown adult. His base speed had been pitifully low to begin with.

And his stamina was even worse.

Sweat poured down his body as a sharp pain blood on the left side of his stomach.

This can’t continue for long.

He could feel the wolf closing in despite its injury. It wouldn’t take long for the monster to adapt to the pain and pick up speed. And if that happened, Luke’s first day in this world would also be his last.

He spotted a low branch a short distance ahead.

The wolf had already closed in, its maw parting wide.

Luke gritted his teeth and gave one final push.

CLACK

The wolf’s jaws snapped shut on empty air. The shockwave from the force brushed past Luke as he leapt and caught the branch at the last possible mont.

He hauled himself up clumsily and imdiately barked an order at the system. "Transfer all defense, intelligence, and half of my speed points to strength. Now."

[Stats:

His muscles swelled instantly, power surging through his limbs. Luke didn’t hesitate. He hurled his knife straight at the monster’s exposed wound.

SQUELCH

"Awoooooo!" The wolf howled in pain, unable to react in ti.

The knife struck with such force that it buried itself completely into the monster’s hide, leaving only the tip of the handle visible.

The wolf staggered back, clearly intending to retreat.

Luke grinned. Like hell.

He jumped down from the branch and nearly collapsed as his legs barely endured the impact.

Luke grunted. So this is how it feels to have almost negligible defense.

Shaking his head, he charged at the wolf, aiming to finish it with a punch. But the monster wasn’t retreating.

It was only taking a few steps back to build montum for another charge.

"Huh—fuck!" Luke threw his arms up just in ti, blocking the wolf from clamping its jaws around his head.

His enhanced strength allowed him to resist the crushing force.

Even so, his arms trembled violently, pain shooting down his spine.

Fuck... this won’t last long.

With a guttural snarl, Luke dug deep and suddenly lifted the wolf off the ground.

THUD

He slamd its body into the earth with devastating force, drawing a howl of agony from the beast.

As its jaws loosened, Luke lunged to the side and plunged his hand into the monster’s open wound.

The wolf cried out, thrashing, but Luke didn’t let go.

Twisting the embedded knife with brute force, he watched as the life slowly drained from the wolf’s eyes.

"Fucking, just die!" He roared and plunged his hand deeper into the wound.

With one last growl, it stopped moving completely.

"Haah....haah..." Taking a few steps back, he wiped sweat with his bloodied hand.

Looking at the big dead wolf, he couldn’t help but mutter, ’Now this is a proper welco to this world.’

Just then,

[Congratulations, host!]

[You have completely another quest!]

[Calculating the ti taken...]

[Evaluating the risk involved...]

[Ding! Due to the utter difference of strength between you and your foe, the rewards has been doubled!]

[Reward:

1. 600G

2. 200 Tora

3. 10 Attribute Point.]

A wild grin ford on Luke’s face as he muttered, ’Now, this is what I call a win-win.’

....

*Knock* *Knock*

The barter hub’s manager clicked his tongue hearing the two knocks, guessing it must be the sa weak loser who went to hunt a hare.

Shaking his head he muttered, ’Might as well have hunted sothing, who knows?’

He soon parted the curtains and the first thing he saw was a dead hare held by its long ears, "Here what you needed."

The manager humd and took the hare.

Thankfully, its neck wasn’t slit, rather, it appears the boy has killed it by suffocating it.

The manager nodded before dropping the hare into the basket and took out the finalized tora.

"Here you go." Once he handed the ten round bronze, he was about to close the curtain when suddenly,

"Wait a minute." The boy suddenly held the curtain, making the manager growl,

"Don’t you fucking ask for more or I swear-"

"Now, now. Stop spouting shit and tell how much you will pay for this thing?" As he said Luke stepped aside, allowing the manager to see the dead corpse of a giant monster.

The manager’s eyes widened, his jaw falling.

He took another glance at Luke as he muttered under his breath, ’What...in the hell is this kid?’
