Now reading: Chapter 253: Ren’s Lost Memories from Netori: I Shall Steal All Of My Enemies' Women For Revenge!, a Drama novel by GiganticBlackCat.

Haruto lifted the blood-streaked veil of the operation room, stepping into the chilling silence. Ren’s corpse was still there—torn apart, ravaged by canine teeth.

The flesh had been ripped clean off in places, revealing the pale white gleam of bone beneath.

Chunks of muscle were missing, and what remained of his face barely resembled anything human.

Half of it was gone, the other half a mangled ruin. Blood still oozed slowly from the gaping cheek cavity, pooling beneath the body like a grotesque offering.

Haruto shook his head, but the smile on his face never wavered.

"You deserved every second of that pain," he muttered. "Sha you died so quickly in the end."

Then he whispered under his breath, "Activate Psychotry of People."

[Psychotry of People activated!]

’Can I even use it on soone already dead?’ he wondered, the thought crossing his mind too late.

He’d been too caught up in the ecstasy of revenge, too consud by the sight of Ren’s pain to think about the bigger picture—about the lost mory, Ayaka’s childhood, and what actually happened in that village.

[You can use it, but the mory may be distorted or partially destroyed due to the subject’s death.]

[Do you still wish to proceed?]

"Yes," he exhaled, steadying his breath.

"Let’s try. I have three uses per day, right? I’ll use all of them... on Ren’s childhood mories."

[Understood. Please touch the body part most strongly connected to the mory you seek.]

Haruto fell silent, scanning what little remained of Ren’s body. His gaze landed on the scar on his left eye—the only eye left intact.

’That scar... He touched it when he fought . It has to be tied to sothing in the past.’

Slowly, he reached out and pressed his fingers to the area.

[Close your eyes.]

He obeyed.

[Processing mory: 10%... 50%... 100%.]

[You may open your eyes now.]

Darkness surrounded him as he opened his eyes. A vast, black void—cold, silent—filled with floating fragnts of mory. Unlike Dr. Watanabe’s, there were only two.

[mory unstable. Only partial recall is possible.]

Haruto swallowed hard, reaching toward the first mory. As soon as his hand touched it, his entire body lurched violently.

He was thrown sideways, heart racing in terror. His breath ca in panicked gasps, chest tight, vision swimming.

But it wasn’t his fear. It wasn’t even his body. It was Ren.

’What the hell—?!’ Haruto thought, unprepared for the raw, overwhelming dread.

In front of him, two won were locked in a struggle. One held a knife. The other—her face partially visible—was bleeding, trying desperately to stop her.

"Young Master Ren! Please run!" the maid cried out, her hand dripping blood as she clung to the attacker’s wrist.

’A maid? This must’ve been in Ren’s ho... His family was wealthy, after all.’

But Ren didn’t run. His small body trembled violently, curled up against the wall. Tears stread down his face. Paralyzed. Terrified.

"Y-Young Master!" the maid scread as she was pushed back.

Her body slamd into a glass cabinet with a sickening crash, shards flying everywhere. She collapsed, motionless.

The deranged woman, ignoring the fallen maid, turned and stalked toward Ren. Haruto couldn’t see her full face—only her wild, piercing green eyes that glead with madness.

"You filthy brat!" she shrieked.

"Because of you, my daughter was corrupted! Because of you, she’s beco impure! You ruined her mind—and her body!"

The knife ca down. Ren ducked, but not fast enough. A sharp, searing pain tore through his eye as the blade slashed across it. He scread, blood blinding him.

"Mayu... no... Mom..." he whimpered, reaching weakly toward the maid, whose eyes were wide with horror.

’Mom?’ Haruto’s mind wondered, ’This, that maid is his mom? Is he a bastard child?’

Mayu rose to her feet and threw herself between them, tackling the attacker.

They struggled fiercely, limbs tangled, screams echoing in the background. But the madwoman was stronger, fueled by pure rage.

She pinned Mayu down.

And then the stabbing began.

Over and over again.

Haruto could only watch through Ren’s eyes as the woman he called "Mom" was stabbed repeatedly, her body twitching under the force of each blow.

Her blood sprayed across the room, splattering Ren’s small, shivering fra.

His vision blurred, his mind retreating from the horror.

Then everything went black.

Haruto gasped, staggering back as his legs nearly gave out. He gripped the railing for support, chest heaving.

His entire body trembled—not from exhaustion, but from the sheer emotional weight of what he’d just witnessed.

"That... That was the most traumatizing mory I’ve ever seen," he muttered under his breath.

His eyes drifted back to Ren’s mutilated corpse, unmoving and silent on the table.

"Shit... So that’s why you turned out like that." His voice was quiet, almost regretful.

Haruto had never imagined Ren’s past would be so horrific. He’d always assud he was just a twisted, privileged brat—soone who clung to Ayaka because he saw her as a possession. A savior complex gone wrong.

But now...

"Wait," Haruto whispered, realization dawning, "That woman... that crazy woman with the knife—was that Ayaka’s mother?"

His voice trailed off into the sterile stillness of the room. The mories Ayaka had shared with him flashed in his mind—how she’d been locked in a basent as a child... how she’d t Ren there.

’Then... the maid who died—Mayu—she wasn’t just a servant. She was Ren’s mother? And the killer... was Ayaka’s mother?’

It made a sick kind of sense. The hatred Ren held toward Ayaka... the obsession... Maybe it wasn’t just madness.

Maybe it was pain—trauma warped into rage. And perhaps Ayaka, unable to escape him, was bound not by fear, but guilt.

Haruto clenched his jaw. "This is seriously ssed up..."

Then, he rembered the details about Dr. Watanabe’s mory, about the kidnapping and the way he killed soone and his girlfriend.

The one who was being kidnapped was probably Ren and sohow he killed Ayaka’s mother...

But why that bastard didn’t rember him at all?

The more he tried to piece it together, the more tangled the puzzle beca.

"There’s only one way to find out..."

His eyes turned once again toward Ren’s broken body. He swallowed hard, his throat dry.

"...I have to go deeper. I need to see the next mory."
