1556 Golden City
"In this floating island, there are five regions depending on the elental essence. They are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and tal. Currently, we are in the tal Region in which there are two cities, 'Hagraven City' and 'Golden City'....."
After silently sending a signal to his father, the Golden Winged young man explained about the Floating Island before saying about himself.
Even though he barely had any energy to speak, the Golden Winged young man gritted his teeth and tried to stall as much ti as possible while explaining the things in the Floating.
'Just you wait. Once my father arrives, I will return the pain hundred…no…thousand folds.'
The only thing that kept the Golden Winged young man enduring his current pain was the hope that his father would arrive and when he ca, he was planning to kill Ajax and everyone around him.
"So, you are the son of the Golden City's leader."
Even though Ajax was young, the Golden-winged young man's acting was so terrible that Ajax easily figured out what he was stalling for ti.
Nevertheless, he was satisfied with the information he got from the golden-winged young man.
"Yes. As long as you let go, I will make you a guest elder of the city. Once you have that status, you will get access to the information relating to the treasures."
Of course, the Golden-winged young man was just spewing whatever ca to his mind in order to make Ajax let him live.
'No matter how angry you are, humans are known for their greed. So, I think he will fall for that trap.'
According to the golden-winged young man, a human would definitely forget the death of his contracted spirit beast for the position of the guest elder of his father's golden city.
In the entire tal region of the Floating Island, there were only two behemoths. One is Hargaven City and the second one is Golden City which was established by the young man's ancestor.
It was currently managed by his father and once his father ascended to the Immortal realm which was around the corner, the golden-winged young man would inherit the city.
"Even though I have older siblings, my father loves so much that he had already declared as his successor to the city. So, there is no way you can live in peace after killing ."
Seeing that Ajax was still not replying to his offer, the golden-winged young man frowned and felt anxious.
Hence, the golden-winged young man inford that he would be taking over his father's Golden City soon.
'What's wrong with this b*stard? Why is he not showing any emotion?'
The golden-winged young man gritted his teeth when he saw Ajax remain cold and nonchalant to his offer.
"I don't know whether I can live in peace or not after killing you; however, I am sure about one thing: If I can't kill you today, I will definitely not live in peace."
After saying those words, Ajax stood up from the ground and decided to execute the punishnt he planned for the golden-winged young man.
"I-if you kill , no matter where you hide, you will be hunted by my father…not only you, but your wife and everyone around."
Seeing the evil look on Ajax's face, the golden-winged young man beca anxious and tried to intimidate him one last ti.
Since Ajax was not tempted by the rewards, the golden-winged young man could only use the intimidation.
However, what the golden-winged young man didn't know was that nothing would work on Ajax after killing his first contracted spirit beast.
"Draconic Spirit Turtle King, co out."
'Thud'
With a loud sound, a huge Turtle appeared beside Ajax and eyed the golden-winged young man with an evil look.
Even though the turtle king rarely interacted with Snow or any other contracted spirit beasts or the elental spirits, he was angry after learning that one of his fellows contracted spirit beasts had died.
So, he wanted to vent his anger too just like the others.
"Throw him into the turtle king's furnace."
Ajax ordered soone to throw the Golden-winged young man into the turtle king's furnace before ordering the turtle king, "I don't know what you will do, refine that corpse as slow as possible and absorb every single unit of the essence of nature in his body."
"Yes, master."
The turtle king was excited and hurriedly nodded his head.
'By doing this, not only I can get my revenge against the golden-winged young man but the turtle king's cultivation will increase and at the sa ti, I will get so random essence orb.'
Ajax sent all his elental spirits and the contracted spirit beasts back into the inner world.
'He might have already sent so kind of signal to his father. I think it is best for to escape from here.'
Ajax knew he was barely able to take down the golden-winged young man. If not for the surprise attack on his wings, Ajax would have had a lot of trouble dealing with him.
As for his father, who was the city leader of the Golden City, Ajax could easily tell it was a powerful cultivator and decided to avoid him as he didn't want any more deaths today.
With that thought in mind, Ajax silently left that place and swore, 'Once I gain enough strength, I will pay a visit to the Golden City and make the golden-winged young man cry even in his grave for killing my contracted spirit beast.'

Ten minutes after Ajax left, a middle-aged man with four golden wings appeared in that place.
"Damn it…why can't sense him anymore? Where did he go? Who dares to lay his hand on my son?"
The middle-aged man was so furious that soone dared to harm his son.
"City leader, this is the last place that the young master's aura disappeared. We can't sense his aura anymore."
Soon, a group of silver-winged humans flew down from all directions and inford the middle-aged man.
"I don't know what you will do, even if you have to turn the entire Floating Island, find my son. If he is dead, find his body along with the killer."
The middle-aged man clenched his fists in anger as he gave out orders to his followers.
"Yes, City leader."
Soon, the silver-winged humans flew into the air and started searching.
