Inside the cave of the cursed wilderness, Ajax asked Captain Edmond about his plan regarding the Quickthunder rcenary squad.
Even though Ajax had enough power to erase the Quickthunder rcenary squad, he didn't want to randomly kill the people without knowing the reason.
Right now, Ajax found out the reason why the Quickthunder rcenary squad is searching for Captain Edmond and Udo.
However, since he already t with Captain Edmond and Udo, Ajax didn't bother to waste his strength on the Quickthunder rcenary squad.
"Since they want our heads, they should be ready for to take their heads."
All of a sudden, the environnt in the cave turned serious as Edmond replied to Ajax with an evil look on his face.
In this world, the cultivators didn't think much about killing other cultivators. Moreover, the Quickthunder rcenary squad ca to kill him. So, Captain Edmond would not feel anything even if kill the entire squad.
"The traps placed in the cave will kill everyone except for Captain Berk. So, at that ti, let's see who will have the last laugh."
From the side, Udo walked towards Ajax with an evil smile as Edmond.

Captain Berk and his squad mbers were waiting for a green signal from the squad mber who entered the cave.
'Everyone, you can enter now.'
Soon, they got the green signal they were waiting for and without wasting any ti, they slowly walked in the sa footsteps of the squad mber.
Even though Captain Berk pushed that squad mber into the cave, everyone knew that the squad mber would not harm them. So, they followed behind him.
'Captain Berk, there are three tunnels here. Which one should we enter?'
Whether it was their luck or Captain Edmond's bad luck, they didn't trigger a single hidden trap until they reached the tunnel. After reaching the tunnel, one of the squad mbers asked Captain Berk about the tunnel.
'Since there are three tunnels, you form a two-man team and enter each tunnel. As for the vice-captain, he will stay with .'
After thinking for a mont, Captain Berk ford three two-n teams and sent them into the three tunnels.
'Yes, Captain Berk.'
Without a choice, the six squad mbers nodded their heads with bitter smiles on their faces.
They knew that if they went against Captain Berk's orders, they would be killed right now. So, they wanted to try their luck going into the tunnel.
By chance, if they encounter Captain Edmond, they thought to beg him to let them go and bla their Captain Berk for forcing them into the tunnel.
Since Captain Edmond was known for his leniency, they could have more chances of living with Captain Edmond compared to Captain Berk.

Without wasting any ti, one team entered the biggest tunnel hoping there would be fewer traps in that tunnel.

Just as they took a step into the tunnel, sharp rocks appeared out of the walls of the tunnel piercing through their bodies.
Within a few monts, they twitched a little before leaving their breaths forever.

Everyone including Captain Berk got shocked when they saw how fast their squad mbers died without a chance to retaliate.
'Captain Berk, if you don't mind, I have a suggestion for you.'
Looking at the two fallen squad mbers, one of the remaining squad mbers transmitted his voice to Captain Berk.

Clenching his fists, Captain Berk nodded his head at that squad mber.
'I am very sure that Captain Edmond and Udo were hiding in the cave. So, why don't we go back and inform the royal family?'
Since Edmond was hiding in one of the tunnels with many traps, that squad mber gave the suggestion to go back to the royal family.
'Damn it...damn it.'
Captain Berk cursed Captain Edmond for hiding with many traps.
'I have to calm down.'
Soon, Captain Berk cald himself down and started thinking about his squad mber's suggestion.
'Right!'
After thinking for a mont, Captain Berk ca to a decision and said to his remaining five squad mbers, "Since we are not lucky enough to capture Edmond and Udo, it's better for us to go back and inform the royal family to get the reward."
While saying those words, Captain Berk didn't bother to speak in voice transmission or whispers; instead, he spoke a little louder.
'Yes, Captain Berk. You are not as cruel as we think you are.'
'Finally, Captain Berk was able to speak with common sense.'
Most of them didn't dare to say those words loudly and only said to themselves.
"Everyone, let's go."
After saying those words, Captain Berk and his squad mbers left the cave the sa way they entered it.

Deep inside the cave,
"What the hell? They left just like that?"
After hearing the words of Captain Berk, Captain Edmond and Udo were a little disappointed because it was not what they thought would happen.
They thought that destroying the Qucikthunder rcenary squad would make the other rcenary squad away from them; however, right now, they were just leaving the cave.
"Captain Edmond, it is not a good thing for them to leave. If we let them go, we have to find another hiding place and arrange the hidden traps. It would be a troubleso job to do."
Soon, Udo said to Captain Edmond with an anxious look on his face.
"There is that again."
Captain Edmond revealed a troubleso look on his face as he stood up.
