The battle raged on with a speed unimaginable to ordinary people.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Oink! Oink!
For a mont, the only sounds on the entire battlefield were the shrill whistles of the wind and the deafening clash of sharp blades.
The extraordinary heroes present began to feel a strange sense of déjà vu.
I've seen this before!
What surprised everyone even more was that the immortal 682 was actually falling into a disadvantage. In just five minutes of fighting, both sides had taken considerable damage, but 682 seed to be on the back foot.
Especially 682 itself. When 076-2 materialized a strange weapon, 682's body was nearly wiped out. Half of its imnse, six-ter-long fra was completely destroyed, leaving only its terrifying head still intact.
Upon seeing this, the audience in the Marvel world was left in shock.
"Damn, is 076-2 this powerful?"
"He's like a superhero! His ability to materialize weapons out of thin air is so cool."
"I didn't expect this humanoid containnt creature to be more powerful than the immortal giant lizard."
"682 only has half of his head left. Shouldn't he be completely dead now?"
"Immortality? That doesn't seem so exaggerated anymore."
In the footage, it was clear that 076-2 had truly beco a fan-favorite.
However, just as 076-2 was about to strike a finishing blow with his weapon, sothing strange occurred. A sudden sonic boom split the air, and an intense electromagnetic storm swept across the entire battlefield. The violent winds sent debris flying everywhere.
Faintly, the audience could hear 682's angry and violent roar again. That primal voice, full of murderous intent, reverberated through the hearts of every viewer, sending chills down their spines.
At that mont, only one question raced through the minds of the audience:
What happened?
In the picture, the mbers of the Mobile Task Force stood up in panic, the captain-like figure grabbing his team mbers by the collar.
"What the hell just happened?" he demanded.
"Team Captain, sensors and monitoring systems are showing strong bursts of electromagnetic energy and radiation, along with drastically fluctuating temperature readings!"
Before he could finish speaking, another team mber interrupted, his voice filled with astonishnt.
"The central monitoring station just reported that a space-ti shift phenonon occurred around SCP-682. After analysis, it seems a black hole suddenly appeared and then vanished, or..."
The team mber paused to catch his breath before continuing, "Or a channel has opened between this dinsion and another dinsion, in theory."
Ti and space transfer? A channel?
When those words left the Mobile Task Force mber's mouth, the entire live broadcast room fell into stunned silence.
Is it really that incredible?
S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.
A scientific expert was explaining the phenonon to Nick Fury.
"Strong bursts of electromagnetic energy and radiation can theoretically cause disruptions in the fabric of space-ti. But it's almost impossible to actually use these bursts to create a transfer through space!"
He added quickly, "At least, not with our current level of technology."
Nick Fury's face darkened as he looked up at the sky, his hands clasped behind his back, deep in thought.
In the footage, the captain was about to speak again when a voice suddenly crackled through everyone's earpieces at the sa ti.
"Zizizizi~ Oga-7 team, do you copy?"
The captain quickly replied, "Yes! Doctor!"
"Report the status of SCP-682 and SCP-076-2."
The captain took a deep breath before responding.
"Both 682 and 076-2 are unable to continue the fight due to severe physical damage."
"Good, continue the containnt mission. Deploy incendiary bombs and let the DCD handle the rest. Damn it, I'm on a mission right now—Doctor...you!"
The captain was abruptly interrupted by another voice, one that sounded increasingly agitated.
"Doctor Kondraki, stop your stupid experints! Stop the idiotic idea of riding 682!"
Listening to the exchange of curses and complaints over the headset, the Mobile Task Force mbers exchanged confused glances.
The final monts of the scene unfolded as the voice of a doctor, still furious, continued.
"I told you this from the beginning. This thing doesn't belong in our world!"
"And I believe the sa can be said for SCP-076. It's like if you stick your finger into a balloon: your finger is both inside and outside the balloon at the sa ti."
"They are 'mapped' into our reality, which causes all kinds of problems when the outside world tries to comprehend them."
"It's like when you're programming, and you give a command to a pixel that doesn't exist. The whole system goes haywire!"
"Idiot!"
After hearing these incomprehensible words, the audience in the live broadcast room was left more confused than ever.
Kamar-Taj.
"Oh my god, Sorcerer Supre! What happened to you?"
"This, this is... Eye of Agamotto? Sorcerer Supre, did you use the Eye of Agamotto?"
"Is that why you're hurt? What did you see?"
The Ancient One was lying on the ground, surrounded by her apprentices. Magic elents swirled around her in an almost uncontrollable storm.
The source of this chaos was her use of the Eye of Agamotto…
To observe 682.
It wasn't that the Ancient One wasn't careful; in fact, she had hoped to uncover the source of 682's immortality. If she could understand the secret behind this beast's invincibility, perhaps she could gain insight into how to maintain her own immortality without needing to draw power from the King of Darkness.
However, the mont she attempted the observation, regret hit her like a tidal wave.
In that fleeting instant, her soul was nearly consud by an overwhelming surge of malevolent thoughts. Her mind almost ca to a halt under the sheer force of the energy.
Had she not instinctively closed the Eye of Agamotto, severing her connection to the intrusive power, she would have been torn apart by that force.
"The Crimson King..."
The Ancient One barely managed to whisper the na, her voice trembling.
The Crimson King?
What kind of being was he? Even though she hadn't seen his true form, just glimpsing a trace of his blood—his projection through 682's body—was enough to cause such terrifying effects. What if his true self was present?
The Ancient One shuddered as she closed her eyes. At that mont, she couldn't bring herself to think further. She knew she couldn't afford to contemplate it any longer.
Even the Eye of Agamotto could no longer be used carelessly.
