Now reading: Chapter 167 167 – The Abyss of Chaos: The Supreme God in the from New Star In Marvel, a Action novel by Dragonscribe31.

The Foundation's preliminary file on SCP-CN-492 – Chaos Abyss flickered across the screen, its dry bureaucratic text failing to capture the sheer dread hiding beneath the words.

[Several monitoring points will be established around SCP-CN-492, and the surface area has been declared a military restricted zone. Civilian vessels are strictly prohibited.]

[Two official explorations have already been conducted. The primary objective moving forward is to identify and classify the anomalous entities residing within SCP-CN-492.]

The chat audience went silent.

---

Unease at S.H.I.E.L.D.

Natasha Romanoff tilted her head, frowning at the briefing. "A trench in the sea that deep… and they're calling it the Abyss of Chaos?" She exhaled sharply. "Tell this isn't going to be another SCP-3000 situation."

Nick Fury grimaced at the mory. SCP-3000—the titanic eel coiled in the Indian Ocean—still haunted him. A creature so massive, so alien in its perception, that simply gazing upon it induced madness.

The thought of another anomaly in the ocean was enough to drain the color from his face. "I don't think this is like 3000," he muttered, though the unease in his voice betrayed him. "This feels… geographical. A trench anomaly. But…"

He stopped. The thought clawed at him. Could one of Yaldabaoth's six angels be hiding in the deep?

---

The Official Description

The dossier continued to scroll:

[SCP-CN-492 is a trench located in the Eastern Sea, the deepest natural depression in that ocean. Its lowest recorded depth is approximately 5,400 ters.]

[Anomalous properties are linked to nurous unexplained mariti disappearances in the 1970s.]

[At approximately 3,000 ters depth, the Hu index drops sharply. Accompanying phenona include signal degradation, reality instability, and encounters with anomalous marine life.]

The file then described the creatures observed. Squids, whales, sea snakes, and starfish—all grotesquely oversized, ranging from 20 ters to over 400 ters in length.

The live-stream audience erupted.

"What the hell? 400 ters?!"

"The largest whale is thirty ters—this is like having ten blue whales stacked together!"

"God help us… what kind of sea is this?!"

Curiosity mingled with horror. The Abyss was no re trench; it was a gate to sothing unnatural.

---

Jas Joins the Mission

The file vanished, and the feed switched to Jas.

He stood on the deck of a massive Foundation research vessel. The morning sun glimred over calm waters, the horizon wide and deceptively peaceful. From above, the ocean sparkled like any other sea. But Jas knew beneath the surface lurked horrors no sailor's tale could exaggerate.

"Dr. Jas," a researcher called from across the deck, "the operation is about to begin."

Jas turned without a word, following him into the cabin.

Inside, chaos reigned.

"Two expeditions and nothing but oversized fish!" one man barked.

"Don't forget SCP-CN-492-A," another shot back. "That giant humanoid that appeared in the diver's dreams. We can't dismiss that."

"Dreams aren't evidence! You're inventing myths!"

The argunt escalated until a gray-haired senior researcher slamd his cane on the floor. "Enough! The mission is set. Debate won't change it."

His eyes found Jas. "Dr. Jas, thank you for answering the Council's call. We'll brief you in the command room."

Murmurs spread as Jas entered.

"He's so young…"

"Is he really the one who contained SCP-2845?"

"A specialist from HQ, and he's from here? Interesting…"

There was no mockery—only awe. His reputation preceded him.

---

Into the Abyss

In the command room, a massive screen displayed live feeds from a submarine poised at the trench's edge. Task Force MTF-Gengzi-03, code-nad 'Abyss Gazers,' waited inside.

"Command center to Abyss Gazers. Confirm."

Static, then a cheerful voice: "Abyss Gazers reporting. Weather's perfect for a dive."

"Good. Comncing the third exploration of SCP-CN-492. Godspeed."

The submarine slipped beneath the waves, bubbles rising in its wake.

"Depth: 50 ters," ca the report. "Requesting SCP-CN-492 file again for reference."

The commander transmitted the dossier. Silence followed as the crew skimd it. The only sounds were engine hums and signal pings.

"Mission objective," the commander recited: "Recover samples of anomalous sea life. If possible, capture smaller organisms for study. And above all—avoid SCP-CN-492-A."

The words hung heavy.

---

The Dream-Humanoid

Jas turned to the gray-haired researcher. "What is 492-A?"

"A massive humanoid form," the old man explained. "It manifested in the dreams of divers during the last mission. With the Hu index collapsing at depth, we can't determine if it's hallucination or reality bleeding through."

Jas nodded. If Yaldabaoth's angels truly lurked here, even dreams could beco windows into their domain.

---

Reality Distorts

"Activate reality anchors. Monitor Hu levels."

"Anchors active. Current index: 98. No abnormalities detected."

Natasha, watching from S.H.I.E.L.D., tilted her head. "So… 100 is normal? It's already below that."

"Which ans reality's thinner the deeper they go," Fury muttered. He prayed silently the anchors would hold.

Then ca the first jolt.

"Wait… did you hear that?" a voice crackled from the sub.

"What sound?"

"Water flow. Heavy. But… no source."

Sharks swam past the feed. Their presence was mundane, yet the sound persisted. Sothing else moved out there.

"Cara Twelve, rotate three o'clock," Jas instructed suddenly.

The commander obeyed.

A vast shadow glided across the lens. For a second, only a blur. Then tentacles.

"Giant squid, at least fifty ters!"

Gasps filled the command room. Viewers scread in the chat.

"It's massive!"

"God, that's bigger than a city bus!"

Thankfully, the squid swam on, uninterested. But its early appearance set nerves on edge.

---

The Depth Dislocation

"Report depth."

"Three thousand ters," the sub's captain replied.

The room froze.

"Impossible," the old man barked. "Our radar marks you at 2,100 ters."

Confusion spread in the sub. "What? That can't be—"

Then the lights dimd. The cara feed darkened until only the sub's beams pierced the gloom. They illuminated nothing but endless water.

"We should be seeing the seabed by now," a crewman whispered. "But it's just… more ocean."

And then—

"Hu index dropping! Eighty-three!"

The command room fell into silence.

---

S.H.I.E.L.D. Realization

Natasha's eyes widened. "Spatial anomaly. The trench isn't obeying physics."

Fury nodded grimly. "They're not in our sea anymore. They've slipped into sothing else. Another plane."

A place where Yaldabaoth's children waited.

---

The Warning

Suddenly the Abyss Gazers' voices spiked with panic.

"Oh God—sothing's here. It's huge!"

The feed shook violently, blurred by currents, then cleared just enough to reveal a silhouette.

Far larger than the squid. Far larger than anything natural.

A shape with arms. With a torso. With a face half-seen in the abyss.

A humanoid.

The crew scread as static overtook the signal.

And in that terrible mont, both Foundation researchers and Marvel's mightiest understood—

They were staring at one of Yaldabaoth's angels.
