In the picture, Captain A laughed bitterly: "To be honest, I almost lost the ability to think..."
On the ground, the boy struggled to stand up. At this mont, the innocence on his face before entering the door was gone, replaced by lingering fear. He looked at Jas expectantly: "So, the Foundation will send soone to rescue us, right?"
For a mont, all three of them were silent. The hope in the boy's eyes faded away at a visible speed. An atmosphere of despair spread, and the boy's deliberately suppressed sobs touched everyone's nerves.
Captain A was about to speak when he saw Jas take out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket. There were crumpled words printed on the note, obviously left by soone.
Jas also explained the origin of the note: "This was found on a dried corpse earlier. The author is the agent who entered here before us. His na should be Baclay..."
In the screen, Captain A was visibly stunned: "You an the body we found while escaping, the one that had blown off its own heart?"
"Yes." Jas unfolded the note in his hand, and the audience in the live broadcast room were able to read the content.
[Project number: waiting for number]
[Object Class: Keter. God bless you.]
······
Seeing this familiar format and content, whether in the live broadcast room or the extraordinary chat group, everyone was stunned. They suddenly rembered—wasn't this the file format for the Foundation's internal containnt objects?
Looking at the scribbled handwriting on the note and then thinking about the other party's suicide... the sa image ford in everyone's minds. An agent who had run out of ammunition and food, writing such a file in a desperate environnt surrounded by demons, noting down the information he and his companions had found...
No one could imagine what kind of belief had supported him.
Unexpectedly, after the next sentence appeared, the tone suddenly changed.
[Special Containnt Procedures: You're going to die, you hapless idiot.]
Seeing this, not only Captain A but even the audience in the live broadcast room were stunned.
S.H.I.E.L.D.
Nick Fury's face darkened. Maria, his assistant, couldn't help but smile but then quickly suppressed it.
"Shen Jin, made laugh a little," she said under her breath.
Fury nodded, his attention still focused on the screen, his mind racing. How could soone leave a note like that under such grim circumstances?
In the screen, after this interruption, although the atmosphere was still a bit odd, it was at least no longer as oppressive as before. The group continued reading.
[This is not an alarmist. I'm agent Baclay.]
[I'm stuck in this stupid building, and I promise you, if you were here, you'd be dead too. By the ti you read this, I'll probably be dead.]
Seeing this, the boy turned away without saying a word. The female agent's face didn't look good either. Only Jas remained calm.
[It's impossible to get out of here, so let's talk about the containnt procedures directly.]
[There's only one f*g way to do this: close the damn door.]
Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.
Nick Fury's eyes flashed.
Door?
The door again?
At this mont, the curiosity surrounding the door—constantly being raised as a point of interest—intensified. Fury couldn't help but feel a pang of dread. Was the door a gateway to this twisted space? Or perhaps the only way to escape?
[You can't go back. You may have tried.]
[Those things can get out from here, although it may take so effort.]
[That's how we found this damn place, after all.]
[I hope you closed the door when you ca in. We closed the door when we gave up and left here.]
[If you didn't close the door, then turn around and close it. That's your first priority now. You're going to die anyway. At least do sothing good before you die.]
In the Stark Industries building, Tony Stark looked up at the sky, a sarcastic smile tugging at his lips.
"Do good deeds? You expect the D-class personnel who are used as guinea pigs to do good deeds? What the hell are you thinking?"
JARVIS: "Um... maybe Agent Baclay thought the person who picked up the note was an agent?"
Tony shrugged. "Maybe. Anyway, no D-class personnel would be stupid enough to do such a thing."
In the screen, Jas and the others continued to watch in silence.
[Description: So, here's the story. You've probably heard it all. The Foundation has received reports of trouble in the middle of nowhere in [DATA EXPUNGED]. Cows and wildlife are mysteriously dying.]
[So people were missing. When a body was found, the autopsy showed that the heart was missing. It wasn't cut out, it wasn't ripped out, it was just gone. The inside of the chest was empty.]
[They found so dark guys wandering around nearby.]
[So high-ranking mbers of the Foundation seem to have seen these things and know how to kill them: use silver bullets and pray to God while shooting. No kidding, this is literal, I don't know why this works.]
[It doesn't matter which god it is, but you better take it seriously.]
Everyone recalled that the captain had been muttering to himself every ti he fired a gun. Only then did they realize—he was praying.
Captain A saw everyone looking at him and made the sign of the cross on his chest.
"I am a Catholic," he said devoutly.
Everyone looked at the note again.
[But after seeing the nest of those things, I can no longer pray.]
[No matter which fg task force you are from, it could be SequrerNos or ChoirBoys, if you open the door and rush in like I did, you are fed.]**
The female agent cursed under her breath: "Damn it, they're all first-ti agents on a mission, and they're all good..."
She said this with so dismay.
Yes, all the outstanding predecessors had died in this damn place... What about us?
[Those things are hard to see with your eyes here. You may have noticed. They are like shadows. You have to stay away from the light source!]
[In the dark, those things can hardly touch you and can't see you clearly. I think those things find you through your shadow. But to be honest, I'm not sure, I just think it's likely.]
[You may have already tried to go out the door, but if you haven't, don't think about it. That will lead to a worse place.]
[There aren't many monsters there, but... Jone went too far away from the house, and... I swear...]
[He began to lt!]
