Grey blinked, and in that very instant, he once again felt the dizziness he would always experience after teleporting. Soon after, he found himself in a completely different room.

He looked around, and what he saw next left him stunned.

It was a pitch-black place, but as soon as he appeared, a faint blue light shone from beneath the floor, slightly illuminating the room.

When he finally took in his surroundings, he saw mirrors.

He looked to his right, there was a mirror. To his left, another mirror. Even when he looked up, there was a mirror there as well.

But the strange thing was, none of these mirrors showed any reflections. Instead, they displayed the blank white ground beneath his feet.

This was really bizarre. What kind of mirror was so stingy that it refused to show Grey’s reflection?

Or could it be that he was a ghost now?

Just as he thought that, the mirror in front of him shifted, and imdiately, Grey’s reflection appeared on its surface.

Grey’s lips twitched.

Did these mirrors have ping issues? Why were they lagging?

He closely observed the mirror, making a few gestures with his hands to see if the figure on the other side would mimic him.

However, reality was often disappointing. Instead of mimicking his gestures, the reflection took a step forward and grinned evilly. The grin was unnaturally wide, giving it a disturbing look, and the reflection’s eyes turned red.

The next mont, it began speaking, much to Grey’s dismay.

"You’ll never be good enough!" it said slowly. "You are but a weakling in the grand sche of things! You should jump down a cliff now!"

"..."

Grey’s expression turned strange when he heard the reflection.

What was wrong with this reflection?

Why was it telling him to jump down a cliff?

He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry anymore.

"Hey, you should sound more serious," Grey said with twitching lips. "Nobody will take you seriously."

"You are worthless!" the reflection continued as if it hadn’t heard him at all. "You have no purpose in this world aside from being cannon fodder! Your re existence is sothing that the heavenly fate controls! You are a slave of fate!"

Imdiately after that, the mirror’s surface rippled as though soone had thrown a stone into it, and a powerful ntal fluctuation erged from within.

It was a ntal attack!

From the fluctuation alone, one could tell it was extrely powerful.

However, Grey rely smiled upon seeing this.

He allowed the ntal attack to enter his mind. The instant it did, it shot toward the intricate purple fla within his consciousness—precisely the source of his psionic energy.

But before it could even move further, a terrifying power descended upon it.

A power so perfect that the imperfect ntal attack was crushed into bits without even being able to resist.

Nexus Energy!

It was the ultimate source of all energies—the king of energies.

It could even deflect probing attempts from a terrifying immortal lady in the starry sky. There was no way a re ntal attack like this could affect him.

He believed this ntal attack was only of the first rank. It wasn’t even worth ntioning. If it had been a higher-level attack, perhaps he might have struggled a bit more, since Nexus Energy wasn’t strong enough to directly deflect a powerful offensive strike. But probing and ntal interference like this could definitely be negated, as they didn’t directly target his mind.

The instant the ntal attack failed, the reflection in the mirror faded away.

Imdiately after, the mirrors on his left and right shifted, and his reflection appeared on both of them at the sa ti.

"You are useless!"

"You are useless!"

They both exclaid, and two powerful ntal attacks shot out simultaneously.

Grey snorted, and before the attacks could even reach him, they were neutralized.

If there was a way to asure or grade psionic energy, he would definitely receive the highest rank, and nobody would be able to surpass him. That was how powerful and supre Nexus Psionic Energy was.

Then, the mirror directly above Grey displayed his reflection, and it too launched an attack.

But that one was also easily deflected by his overwhelming psionic power.

The instant that happened, Grey suddenly felt the ground beneath him vanish, and with another wave of dizziness, he was teleported once again.

Buzz!

Once the dizziness cleared, he realized he was standing in front of a floating, broken piece of what appeared to be a disc. The fragnt bore intricate patterns that glowed with golden light.

"The trial is over!" Grey grinned.

Imdiately, he stepped forward and grabbed the broken piece of the disc.

This disc was required to open the main door of the inheritance ground, the other part of it was located on the mountain to the left.

As soon as he touched it, information rushed into his head.

Surprisingly, it was actually a ntal art!

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By comprehending the ’ntalquake Art,’ you have mastered the technique ’ntal Annihilation Art.’]

"It’s the sa attack the reflections used," Grey said with a satisfied nod.

With his cheat in action, its power had increased by an entire level. What was once a technique capable only of causing numbness, dizziness, and ntal pain could now directly target the mind and completely destroy the brain.

It was an extrely lethal attack that could be used even against cultivators of the third rank.

"Not bad," Grey smiled.

Just then, the disc in his hands stirred abruptly, and a silver flash shot out from it, much to Grey’s surprise.

He swiftly caught it using his mind perception and realized that it was a pill.

Grey imdiately used his Appraisal Skill on it.

[Mind Expansion Pill (4-Star) – A rare pill that expands a cultivator’s ntal domain, permanently increasing the range and sharpness of their mind perception while enhancing ntal clarity and cognitive processing. Each use will drastically reduce its effectiveness.]

"What?!" Grey’s eyes widened. "A pill that can permanently increase the range of mind perception?"

Grey was pleasantly surprised. Those who had cleared the mind trial before had never ntioned anything like this.

"Could it be that the trial ground recognized I’m an esper and gave special rewards?" Grey mused thoughtfully.

Normal people could also survive the second stage of the trial; they just needed a ntal defensive artifact or protection. It was far easier than the maze, in fact. One didn’t really need to be an esper to clear it.

"But I guess being an esper cos with benefits," Grey grinned.

Then, without hesitation, he imdiately swallowed the pill.
