Boom.
The sound of thunder rang across the land.
It bood and twisted, shaking heaven and earth as the light above abruptly vanished. The sky darkened unnaturally, swallowed by a vast churning cloud that spread endlessly overhead.
Purple lightning crackled within it.
Each collision of lightning tore across the heavens, and every thunderclap sent violent tremors racing through the ground below. Mountains shuddered. The air itself seed to kneel under the pressure.
Grey stood calmly beneath it all.
He had invoked the absolute authority of Heaven.
"The heaven?" The Abyssal Mistress’s expression finally changed.
Her eyes lifted slowly toward the sky, a trace of seriousness appearing for the first ti.
"Is this... Heavenly Tribulation?" the bald-headed donkey muttered, his pupils constricting in disbelief.
Heavenly Tribulation.
The absolute authority of Heaven.
Its orders were unquestionable. Its judgnt was final. It descended only when soone broke the natural order of the world.
And yet.
Everyone present stared at the law fluctuations surrounding Grey, disbelief flooding their expressions.
"Abyssal Mistress, he’s the one who summoned it!" the bald donkey exclaid.
The Abyssal Mistress remained silent for a brief mont.
Even without his words, she had already understood.
"So what?" she said calmly, shaking her head.
She was an abyssal being.
How could the re Heaven, a force that held no authority within the Abyss, threaten her?
"You are very good. I’ll give you that, Grey Lockhart." Her gaze sharpened. "But it isn’t enough."
Abyssal energy erupted violently from her body.
Dark spikes of corruption ford around her in an instant, each one humming with twisted power. The surrounding space warped as the Law of Entropy seeped outward, corroding order itself.
At the sa ti, the thunder above finally descended.
Boom!
Lightning from the deepest layer of Heaven crashed downward, altering the magnetic field of the entire region. The air exploded as divine judgnt fell, carrying the will of Heaven itself.
The Abyssal Mistress rely snickered.
For a split second, the spikes around her glitched unnaturally.
In the next instant, the Law of Entropy fully descended upon them.
Kaboom!
The abyssal spikes slamd directly into the falling lightning. The collision detonated violently, waves of distorted energy rippling outward as the tribulation was forcibly neutralized.
The sky trembled.
"As I thought." The Abyssal Mistress’s expression remained calm. "Its effects aren’t that extraordinary."
She looked down at Grey with faint disdain.
"I’ve heard that those who comprehend the Heavenly Tribulation Law possess terrifying power," she continued coldly. "The more evil the target, the stronger the tribulation becos. Those who do not follow the Heavenly Dao’s natural order should suffer imnse damage under its judgnt."
She snorted.
"But it seems you only have entry-level comprehension."
Her aura surged.
"I have already comprehended the Law of Entropy to major succession."
"You cannot win!"
As the words fell, her figure flickered.
Almost simultaneously, the bald donkey reacted as well. air rippled twice, and in the next instant, both of them appeared right beside Grey.
Compared to Grey’s massive draconic body, their figures were small.
Yet when their auras combined, the pressure they released was terrifying. The oppressive presence they ford together actually outweighed Grey’s own overwhelming draconic might.
Then they attacked.
The bald donkey clenched his fist, layers of distorted law wrapping tightly around it as the Law of Disorder surged forward. His punch tore through the air, collapsing air in its path.
At the sa ti, the Abyssal Mistress’s hands flashed.
A banner spear materialized instantly. A black flag hung from its shaft, covered in strange white symbols that pulsed with abyssal power. Without hesitation, she brought it down toward Grey.
Energy erupted from the banner spear.
The Law of Entropy and abyssal energy fused together, pouring out violently as the spear descended. Trails of distortion followed its path, air warping and decaying wherever it passed.
The spear struck toward Grey’s body at the sa mont the bald donkey’s fist arrived.
The banner spear was reinforced with an amplification array.
That was sothing Grey had already noticed seconds earlier.
A grin spread across his draconic face.
Ti stopped.
The world froze instantly.
The black banner hung motionless in the air, its fabric stiff as stone. The bald donkey’s fist halted inches from Grey’s scales, distortion locked in place like a frozen ripple.
Grey moved freely within the stillness.
With six seconds at his disposal, any direct attack that was not area-based was aningless.
"One second has passed."
Grey’s draconic hand lightly touched the banner spear.
The amplification array shattered silently, collapsing into fragnts of broken law without triggering a reaction.
"Four seconds have passed."
Grey turned and kicked the bald donkey squarely in the chest, sending him flying directly in front of the Abyssal Mistress.
Then Grey shifted sideways, distancing himself from both of them.
This ti, there was no interference from the Law of Entropy.
As long as he did not act directly upon her, ti stop could still function.
There always had to be intent.
That was the key Grey had realized after comprehending the Law. Laws did not react to existence alone, but to intent directed toward them.
That was also how the Abyssal Mistress had disrupted his spatial techniques earlier. Even without perceiving spatial law directly, she had acted upon it through entropy because there had been clear intent.
The next instant, ti resud.
Boom!
The bald donkey’s fist slamd into empty air.
Before he could even process what had happened, his eyes widened in shock.
A terrifying abyssal force, compressed to perfection, surged forward.
Whrmm!
The pressure pierced straight through his body, ripping through flesh and organs before erupting out his back in a violent spray of blood.
"?!"
The Abyssal Mistress froze, montarily dumbfounded.
What was this?
Why had the attack landed on the bald donkey instead of the massive dragon?
And where was the dragon?
Thunder cracked down from the sky once more as she scanned the battlefield.
Then a teasing voice sounded from behind her.
"Looking for soone?"
Her pupils constricted violently.
She turned.
But it was already too late.
A sword plunged straight into her abdon.
Pff!
Dark blood spurted from her mouth as the blade pierced through her body.
"You dare?!"
Rage exploded from her instantly.
The sword embedded in her body shattered into chaotic particles, law fluctuations and violent energy erupting at the sa ti as they shot toward Grey with overwhelming montum.
Grey raised an eyebrow.
Ti stopped again.
He retreated instantly, putting distance between himself and the Abyssal Mistress before resuming ti.
At the sa mont, he swallowed an energy restoration potion.
His reserves were dropping rapidly. Maintaining Heavenly Tribulation, repeated ti stops, and earlier spatial techniques had begun to pile up. The battle had crossed into dangerous territory.
As soon as ti resud, Grey’s expression changed.
"The sa trick won’t work on twice," the Abyssal Mistress said coldly.
She was already there.
Her spear was right in front of him.
Before he could react, the sharp point pierced forward.
Boom!
Grey’s draconic scales cracked violently. A hole was torn straight through his body, striking the exact sa location where he had stabbed her monts earlier.
Blood spilled as the impact sent shockwaves through his massive fra.
