"Hmph. Bad guy," Alissa said as she jumped out of Grey’s embrace with a flustered look on her face.
"How about going to a love hotel, Miss Alissa?" Grey became even more proactive seeing her flustered.
She immediately stormed out of the room, fuming the instant Grey said it. She cursed him under her breath continuously as she walked away.
Once she left, Grey fell deep into thought.
The fight with Tian Yuan had made him reflect on himself and his powers. He vividly remembered the immortal’s mocking words: "You only have the power of a pseudo tenth rank. You do not have any Dao techniques to use it to its fullest extent."
He apparently needed a proper technique. A technique utilized by the ninth or tenth ranks.
That was exactly what he was lacking right now. Tian Yuan’s bat might came directly from his profound techniques. If the real Tian Yuan had been there in place of his clone, the Heaven Trampling technique he used would have seriously damaged Grey and his core.
He needed defensive protection and an offensive skill similar to Tian Yuan. But he had no idea where to start.
For starters, he decided to ask Alan.
"A ninth to tenth rank technique?" Alan was thoughtful. "These techniques are not universal, nor are they something you can just find in a hidden treasure chest or buy online."
"It is something you have to logically create on your own."
"Create on my own?" Grey frowned in thought.
"Yes. But the beings of the higher world might possess other means of forming a technique."
What Alan meant in plain and simple terms was that the gods might know a way. Hence, Grey went to find Kaelith.
"A ninth rank technique?" Kaelith rubbed his chin. "Not really, no."
"Oh." Grey’s lips twitched.
"Our greatest weapon from the time we are born is the Divine Law," Kaelith explained. "prehending the Divine Law gives birth to Divine Runes. These, in general, could be considered techniques, I suppose."
"Oh?" Grey’s eyes lit up.
He immediately went back to Alan to cross-reference this information.
"A Dao giving birth to extraordinary power? Yes, it does happen," Alan said with a nod. Then, as if understanding something crucial, he added, "Yeah, I pletely overlooked that part. This generated power can also be considered a technique, but most of the time, experts bine various other Dao runes they find to forge a more perfect, plete technique."
"But I believe you would first need to formally reach the Dao Generation Realm before achieving that."
"We will see," Grey nodded as he went to gather Kaelith and Lia.
"I need to make my Divine Law of Thunder reach Major Succession. That is equivalent to a Dao, right?" Grey asked the two of them.
"Yeah," Lia nodded. "But hubby, reaching Major Succession is not going to be easy."
"Especially considering how the Divine Law of Thunder is one of the highest forms of thunder powers in all of the endless reality."
"Haha." Grey smiled hearing this. "I will be fine. But if I have any sort of amplification, it will definitely be helpful."
"Well, there is a way," Kaelith spoke as an idea crossed his mind.
A few moments later, all the gods had gathered together in the courtyard.
With a wave of Kaelith’s hands, a plex trigram formed on the ground. Inside it were sufficient smaller circles that could host multiple gods, and then there were three bigger circles directly in the center. These were positioned precisely for Grey, Lia, and Kaelith.
"We will use Divine Resonance," Kaelith slowly spoke up. "This is a god seal that helps gods share their powers amongst each other."
"This can likewise be used for law prehension."
"Young Master, at this point, it is clear that you have an extraordinary prehension that could put even the most gifted god to shame. Hence, by using you as the resonant core, we can all enter an enlightened state, which will give birth to Divine Law power surging all around the area."
"For us, it is not worth much individually. But for you, the residual ambient power might actually be the catalyst that helps with reaching Major Succession. This way, all of us present here will benefit immensely from the shared connection."
"Not only that, this will also give you a better understanding of the laws since the vast majority of us had already used them in our previous lives, including myself. The effects, even if they are only at Minor Succession, can safely stack."
Grey nodded; he had no problem with that arrangement.
They immediately began. All the gods sat in the outer circles, while Kaelith, Lia, and Grey sat firmly in the center.
The two ancient gods were there for maximum amplification. Lia wanted to help Grey as much as she possibly could. As for Little Hong, she just sat by the side, watching something on her tablet with a bored look. It looked as if this did not concern her at all. And it truly did not, since she cultivated the Law of Chaos and not a Divine Law; hence, this little resonance party they were conducting was not meant for her.
"Alright. Let us begin," Kaelith exclaimed as he snapped his fingers.
Immediately, the god seal lit up, connecting everyone in each circle in a single instant.
Every god in the formation focused. The vast majority of them were only at the glimpsed stage of their respective Divine Laws. Even Kaelith himself was only at Minor Succession of the Divine Law of Life and Death. Hence, this small gathering might actually be the key for all of them to break into Minor Succession.
