Capítulo 797: Chapter 406: Chang’e Alone, With Whom Does She et?

The vast mountains and forests, the endless sky, everywhere was bathed in moonlight, gentle and clear, forming a grand and luminous scene.

Qin Ming was startled. What kind of place had Old Bu brought him to?

He had lived in the night all year round, and even though there were Fire Springs, it was impossible for the environnt to be like today, with everything shrouded in a translucent and clear vastness and solemn feeling.

“Old Bu, where have you brought ? Have we left the Abyss and entered a realm with sun, moon, and stars?” Qin Ming had this suspicion.

Behind him, the thick Night Fog roiled continuously, while in front of him, it was bright and clear, almost like two different worlds!

Then, Qin Ming beca alert. Is this area safe? He was just a Third Realm youth, hopefully he hadn’t intruded into so forbidden zone.

In the Yewu World, places with light were mostly occupied by powerful creatures.

What lay before him exceeded all he had seen before.

Even the Extre Fire Spring could only illuminate a city, yet now Qin Ming was experiencing a great brightness, which could be described as “shining across ten thousand miles, resplendent open air scenery.”

In such a bright and clear place, what level of monsters might be lurking?

Old Bu wouldn’t be trying to use a borrowed knife to kill soone, would he?

“Old Bu, if you are dissatisfied, you can leave on your own. You didn’t have to bring here.” Qin Ming pondered, they really were mutually repulsive.

He found Old Bu useless, and Old Bu found him an eyesore to detest.

At this mont, Broken Cloth brought him into the bright area, landing on the ground, no longer flying in the sky.

Qin Ming decisively let go, no longer using Sticky Force; if he couldn’t provoke it, letting go was the best option.

Unexpectedly, Broken Cloth did not fly away, and as always, it didn’t glow with rare materials but remained dull and ordinary.

“It’s a bit different now!” Qin Ming perceptively noticed that Old Bu was subtly indicating a direction, unlike its previous lifelessness.

This was curious. Could it be resurfacing completely and capable of communicating with people now? In the past, it never acknowledged its “lord.”

Qin Ming said he let go, but his body honestly moved forward, toward the luminous mountains.

“That’s not right!” As he climbed over the majestic mountain ahead, he finally realized sothing was odd about this place.

“Where is the moon?” Initially, he thought the mountain blocked the moon, but upon reaching the summit and looking around, he was perplexed. The night sky was empty.

Leaves fluttered off the original slope!

The deep night sky had no bright moon hanging.

Yet, between heaven and earth, there was clearly Moonlight, a pristine light enveloping like thin smoke, exactly like the dim, hazy moonlit night recorded in ancient books.

Standing on the ridge, Qin Ming carefully observed. His expression gradually changed. What place was this that turned the world upside down? The moon was actually on the ground!

Looking ahead, the forest was boundless, and the moonlight was spreading from the ground towards the sky. The lower it was, the richer the Moonlight, like frost glazed with glass.

The trees, from trunk to leaves, were entwined with moonlight, hazy and sacred, like white smoke rising, exquisite jade transforming into flowing sunset glow.

Moreover, Qin Ming identified the source, not too far away, a clear moon on the ground, gentle ripples undulating, spreading across the forest, illuminating upward toward the sky.

Broken Cloth was guiding him toward the ground’s moon!

Qin Ming traversed the forest, and along the way, flora and fauna were accumulating moonlight like water, white, serene, and peaceful, like an unreal dreamland.

His speed was swift, yet it took him a long ti to reach the destination.

In the forest ahead, there was a clearing, where a bright moon rested on the ground, seemingly partially buried by soil, or perhaps reflected in rippling water.

But there was no water, only land.

“Old Bu, what do you an by bringing here? If you’re unwilling to stay by my side, just leave on your own; after all, a forced lon isn’t sweet,” said Qin Ming.

He was utterly bewildered by this place, the moon rippling on the ground, clear light rising upward into the night sky, everything was so abnormal.

Broken Cloth remained unresponsive, so simple it was no different from usual.

Filled with doubt, Qin Ming ultimately followed the guidance, stepping onto the moonlight, approaching the moon on the ground.

This area was shrouded in white mist, appearing even more misty, while the path ahead gradually beca crystalline and transparent. He felt he was stepping on the edge of the buried moon.

With a swish, he seed to break through a layer of illusion. The moon underfoot remained, but the scenery ahead was sowhat different.

Qin Ming’s eyes were profound, staring at the Jade Palace. He was full of confusion, could that be the legendary Guanghan Palace?

There was a large cassia tree in front of the palace, emitting fragrance. Under the tree was a rust-covered axe, the wooden handle already decayed.

There was also a rabbit, or rather, a bloodstained rabbit skin hanging on the cassia tree’s branch.

This could not help but spark excessive associations; who skinned Chang’e’s rabbit?

This was not the only structure. To one side, there was also a vast coliseum, sprawling, magnificent, and with a prominent sense of historical era.

Additionally, there was a Golden Palace, severely damaged, half-collapsed, and rubble was scattered everywhere.

The three types of architecture had distinctly different styles, yet they appeared in one place.

“Chang’e, who do you keep company with alone?”

Qin Ming speculated, after all these long years, if there truly was a Chang’e, she would have long aged to the point of needing a walking stick, wouldn’t she?

After all, according to the Yewu World, no creature can be immortal; even Heavenly Immortals and Heavenly Gods have their lifespans and will eventually die of old age.

Even when Yujing claims to be the ultimate place, the prominent figures within will eventually decay.

Qin Ming looked again and listened carefully, the place was very quiet, what was Old Bu’s intention in bringing him here?

He hesitated for a mont, first heading towards the Golden Palace, only to find a semi-collapsed building with a lot of blood on the floor, like a murder scene.

The broken cloth fluctuated slightly, seemingly stopping him, indicating that was not a place he should enter.

Qin Ming was suspicious, was he to find Chang’e? He naturally “followed good advice as easily as flowing water,” imdiately taking action and heading towards Guanghan Palace.

However, in front of the palace, the broken cloth reacted again, preventing him from approaching, redirecting his path.

Qin Ming was very obedient, stopping suddenly, but his head peeked inside, resembling the rumored interior of Guanghan Palace, filled with many cobwebs, very desolate.

Suddenly, his pupils enlarged, he actually saw a person, was that Chang’e? Her white dress dragged on the ground, unable to hide her slender body, her graceful and elegant back was perfect.

She seed to have stood there for thousands, tens of thousands of years, motionless.

Qin Ming kept looking, never withdrawing his gaze.

Suddenly, in his shocked gaze, that perfect figure like a clay sculpture slowly turned around, her black hair began to float.

In a flash, he saw a pale face, but before he could thoroughly inspect it, a sight as if thunder fell from above the Nine Heavens entered his eyes.

A blinding light covered Qin Ming’s view, burning him so much that his tears almost fell.

He vaguely felt that the broken cloth shook, was it drawing the thunder, or was it shielding him from it?

Once the terrifying light vanished, the woman in Guanghan Palace still stood there, not even a strand of hair moved, as if she never turned around.

Illusion or hallucination? Qin Ming was focused on being compliant; upon feeling a slight pull from the broken cloth, indicating he should leave, he quickly turned and walked away.

As he passed by an osmanthus tree, seeing the blood-stained rabbit skin hanging on it, he imdiately quickened his pace.

Qin Ming headed towards the last building, this ti Old Bu did not obstruct him, remaining completely silent.

This magnificent arena hung two millstone-sized paper lanterns at the entrance, entirely blood-red, which ignited as he approached.

“Nanming Lihuo!”

Qin Ming’s heart trembled, his face slightly stiffened, rely the two lanterns at the door, yet they nurtured Divine Fire, indeed an intimidating display.

He walked forward, since he was already here, he chose to trust Old Bu.

Once the two divine fire lanterns brightened, the entire ancient building was no longer lifeless; it seed to fully awaken, with the engraved patterns starting to glow.

Qin Ming entered the arena, scrutinizing the place.

It was enclosed by high walls, with tiered viewing stands, and the central competition area situated in a sunken region.

The arena was vast, constructed from huge stones, accommodating a large audience.

In the sunken area of the arena, at the center stage, there was actually a creature, previously motionless, appearing sealed and petrified.

However, as the engravings on the stones lit up and torches abruptly ignited, the creature in the arena suddenly resurrected.

Qin Ming, with a serious expression, stared at the two creatures.

One was a human girl, seemingly sixteen or seventeen, with a fair, slightly round face, trembling eyelashes, and clear large eyes.

In fact, the girl exuded a very innocent aura, like soone unfamiliar with the world, just awakened, still sowhat bewildered, slightly dazed.

Opposite her was an insect monster, sowhat like a centipede, with a pitch-black insect body, but possessing a human head, quite nacing, behind which was a glowing vine, resembling a spirit of cordyceps.

The instant transition from stillness to awakening of the two creatures resulted in a direct battle.

“I concede, withdraw…” the girl said in panic, already bearing blood stains; she seed entirely unfit for the arena, no match for the insect monster.

Her voice halted abruptly, as the azure gold vine on the insect monster pierced her forehead, bleeding profusely, her face a mask of fear, with the light in her eyes swiftly dimming.

Splat!

The insect monster tore her apart, staining the stone ground with blood.

Qin Ming, upon entering, witnessed such a bloody scene.

Next, he saw the eight directions of the arena, each with a stone door, now shrouded in mist, the stone doors lit up, accompanied by voices of debate, like from distant realms.

“Earth Moon has truly awakened!”

“Where?”

“The mist gate before us has reopened, where else do you think?”

“That arena has been activated, is there anyone alive inside Guanghan Palace?”

The eight mist gates were noisy, in heated discussion, as various parties seed to select individuals to co forth from behind the doors.

Qin Ming was bewildered, standing amidst the ancient building, surprisingly hearing voices from different realms, followed by creatures erging from the dense fog, entering the arena.

At that mont, within Guanghan Palace, the figure that remained still slowly turned around.
