After the first lap, Ahd felt much calr. Although things felt strange, nothing had happened. They didn’t have to stay here overnight; they only needed to wait until the thirty minutes were up.

This sentence gave Ahd courage. He took a deep breath; since he wasn’t the only one who could see it, there was still hope. It proved he wasn’t the only one targeted by the Ghost.
He was now about 70% sure it was the incense that was the problem. Those baldy con n pretending to be holy monks indeed harbored malicious intent, intending to sacrifice them to appease the Ghost.
Ahd’s mind turned quickly after all, he wasn’t a newcor. He was faking it, having experienced similar incidents in past missions.
