Neither Yang Xiao nor Chen Nang responded to Wu Guowei’s comnt, maintaining their honest and plain deanor, silently watching him perform.

After pondering for a mont, Wu Guowei slapped his forehead, "Ah, I can’t rember. Anyway, no matter what kind of person he was, he never managed to convey that eerie, oppressive sense of despair, significantly slowing down the progress. Later I heard he was replaced."

"Indeed, he should have been replaced. Such a villain role must be played by soone with good acting skills." Yang Xiao continued to probe.

Wu Guowei chuckled with a cigarette between his fingers, "Exactly, so this ti they found soone very local. I heard the feeling in the shot was spot on."

"Who is it?" Chen Nang asked, feigning curiosity.

"Heh, well, that’s not an actor. He’s soone the crew found locally. I heard he’s disabled, makes a living by picking up trash, called... sothing like Old Guai, if I rember correctly." Wu Guowei recalled.

After beating around the bush for a while and confirming that Mr. Wu indeed knew no more specific information, Yang Xiao and Chen Nang planned to bid farewell.

But at that mont, Wu Guowei chuckled, snuffing out his cigarette in a ceramic ashtray, and looked up at Yang Xiao and Chen Nang, his expression rather playful, "Now that you’ve been asking questions for so long, can I ask you one in return?"

Yang Xiao sighed inwardly, knowing that trouble had finally arrived, as Wu Guowei’s smile hid too many calculations.

"Who exactly are you?" Wu Guowei imdiately changed his expression, standing up, "You’re not here to collaborate with ; you’re here to inquire about Chen’s Strange Film Industry’s remake of that movie."

"We were indeed going to remake that movie. Chen’s Strange Film Industry is no longer, but their movie had a collaboration with you at the ti." Chen Nang replied calmly.

"Lies!" Wu Guowei rcilessly refuted, "My collaboration with Chen’s Strange Film Industry was known only to a very few people, not even most of their company’s mbers. How could you possibly know?"

"Who exactly are you?"

"If you don’t fess up, I’ll call the police!" Despite Wu Guowei’s small stature, his imposing manner didn’t flinch in front of Yang Xiao and Chen Nang.

"Teacher Wu, everything we’ve said is true. Besides... are you planning to beat the two of us?" Yang Xiao saw Wu Guowei blocking their path, rolling up his sleeves ready to get rough.

Yang Xiao wasn’t sure about Chen Nang’s combat prowess, but his own fighting skills were good. While he wasn’t a top-notch master, he could easily handle ten of Wu Guowei, without pausing in between.

Unexpectedly, Wu Guowei’s expression turned even more mysterious after hearing this, and Yang Xiao’s heart skipped a beat. He suspected he had encountered a master. Maybe this was a very formidable screenwriter, or is it... an Angel Envoy?

That would be bad.

The next mont, Wu Guowei’s deep and hoarse voice rang out, revealing a chilling coldness, "1974, Southeast Asia’s first free fighting pinnacle contest, I was there."

"1974..." Yang Xiao was bewildered. Calculated by age, this Wu Screenwriter would have been just a kid at that ti.

But Yang Xiao dared not underestimate him; the aura emanating from this person suppressed him and Chen Nang entirely. He was confident enough to tackle both of them, standing alone behind the door.

"Trouble encountered..." Yang Xiao murmured inwardly; who the hell would have thought a screenwriter used to fight in free fighting?

"Fight or surrender?" Wu Guowei curled his lips, flashing a devilish smile.

At this point, Yang Xiao and Chen Nang had no other choice. The next second, they both struck simultaneously, Yang Xiao grabbed the ashtray on the table and smashed it forward, then stomped the ground, thrusting forward, with Chen Nang closely following.

To deal with a master, use more fists, less legs. Yang Xiao planned to get close and engage in close-quarters combat. After all, they were two people, having the advantage in numbers. While charging forward, Yang Xiao already devised 3 or 4 fighting strategies.

But he quickly realized he was overthinking it. Wu Guowei was first hit on the head by the ashtray, then a short straight punch from Yang Xiao struck him on the cheek, followed by Chen Nang’s uppercut, Yang Xiao’s right hook, and finally Chen Nang’s whip kick, sending Wu Guowei flying.

Defeating Wu Guowei took less than ten seconds, but rescuing him took more than ten minutes; they did everything they could, including artificial respiration.

"Mr. Wu, don’t scare us!" Yang Xiao knelt on the ground, pressing Wu Guowei’s chest, pleading with him not to die.

Finally, after confirming that Wu Guowei regained so consciousness and wouldn’t die for the ti being, Yang Xiao and Chen Nang tied him up, right there in the study’s chair, using tape to wrap him tightly.

"Weren’t you in the free fighting pinnacle contest?" Yang Xiao asked irritably. Fortunately, he realized sothing was wrong and held back the last few moves, otherwise, he would have definitely sent him off. That ultimate crotch kick had been ready for delivery.

Wu Guowei, now beaten black and blue, lost all of his previous mysterious aura, pleading for rcy while explaining that he just liked to show off. He was indeed present at Southeast Asia’s pinnacle fighting contest in 1974, but he was selling candies back then.

At this mont, Yang Xiao almost laughed in exasperation. Xu Yan ntioned this big screenwriter had a weird temper and character, but Yang Xiao saw him as a typical case of having a middle school syndro.

It makes sense; those in the arts all have sowhat eccentric maladies. When Yang Xiao wrote scripts back then, he often felt his sanity was not normal. While sleeping, it seed like sothing whispered in his ear, and upon waking, the inspiration ca to him. Scriptwriter friends even thought he was writing solo, crazily praising him in the group chats and comnts.
