Now reading: Chapter 1928 - 1093: Accident (2) from Nightmare Apostle, a Drama novel by Gentle sleep advisor.

At this point, Yang Xiao and Takagi Reina are in sync with her. From Yang Xiao’s perspective, the most suspicious people right now are those who ca looking for Watanabe Gou and Kato Shinjiro. There’s the possibility that they’re not police at all, let alone from so secret departnt. In the worst-case scenario, they’re followers of the Black Buddha Mother, remnants of a cult that weren’t eradicated back then.

This possibility isn’t high, but if it materializes, the blow to them would be devastating, severely threatening their lives.

But with too few clues at the mont and the impending attack from the Ghost Train tonight, everyone had no choice but to accept the suggestion from the mysterious people and decide to look for the lost antique radio at Youjian Mountain Station.

The problem now is that the antique radio is at Youjian Mountain Station, and only those selected by the "Ghost" have the right to go there.

This ans that tonight they will continue the ga of passing the chant to the ghost, and the loser will assu the task of finding the radio.

"It’s already dark, let’s talk about the rest tomorrow. How should we arrange tonight?" Matters have priorities, and having narrowly escaped death twice, Watanabe Gou now just wants to find a relatively safe place to rest. He’s only human, not a god, and the string in his heart is about to snap.

In any event, it was him who boarded the Ghost Train last night, so it’s unlikely to be his turn again tonight.

Since Suzuki Takashi’s death, their group of 12 is now down to 9, and they will continue to lose mbers going forward.

Everyone isn’t afraid of death, as long as it’s not their own. But they can’t accept a teammate dying mysteriously like Suzuki Takashi.

Not surprisingly, nobody volunteered to board the train tonight, repeating the actions of Yandeta Chiyoda and Hirano Yuuhi from last night. After all, everyone saw how that ended.

"Then let’s keep drawing lots," Yang Xiao was fed up with arguing.

"Alright, but this ti I propose that I don’t participate. Since I already went last night, I’d still be the Ghost’s host. If I voluntarily board the train again, I’m worried it might trigger so unpredictable danger that could affect everyone present," Watanabe Gou said, sounding earnest though he was spouting nonsense.

Just as he finished speaking, there was a mocking laugh. Takagi Reina unceremoniously retorted, "You overthink it, Mr. Watanabe. We’re not afraid of that risk; we actually hope to fight alongside you, Mr. Watanabe."

"Yes, fight alongside!" Yamamoto Chunai, who detested Watanabe Gou, naturally stepped up to add salt to the wound when she saw soone who could make Watanabe suffer.

"Miss Yamamoto is still too young, unaware of the implications. I propose not letting Mr. Watanabe participate in the lot drawing tonight, as it’s in everyone’s best interest for safety." Watanabe Gou had saved her by sacrificing Hirano Yuuhi, so she naturally hoped to ally with him and further emphasize loyalty at this critical juncture.

A few words in disagreent and Takagi Reina and Yandeta Chiyoda seed ready for a clash.

"Let’s not argue, I’ll say sothing fair." Yang Xiao volunteered to step forward, planning to use his character to smoothen the dispute.

"Let’s be fair. Those who support Mr. Watanabe Gou not participating in the lot drawing tonight, please raise your hand."

In the next second, only Yandeta Chiyoda raised her hand, and, of course, Watanabe Gou himself.

"Two votes. Now, those who support Mr. Watanabe Gou fighting alongside us, please raise your hand," Yang Xiao said, raising his own hand first.

"One vote, two votes, three votes, four votes, five votes, six votes, seven votes..."

"Um... Takagi Reina, please lower your right hand. Raising both hands counts as one vote." Yang Xiao increasingly admired this girl’s theatrical skills; she had a strong stage presence.

"Hmm..." Takagi Reina grumbled in dissatisfaction, glancing sideways at Watanabe Gou.

This guy was so shaless, daring to propose not drawing lots. It’s the first ti she encountered soone so brazen.

With 2 votes to 7 votes, the outco was clear; Takagi Reina’s victory was overwhelming. Now even Watanabe Gou couldn’t avoid drawing lots, no matter how thick-skinned he was.

"Mr. Xiaolin, Miss Yamamoto, there have been misunderstandings between us before, which I’ve already apologized for. Refusing to let go is pointless—we’re companions, blood-related comrades, and we should unite, don’t you agree?" Watanabe Gou said with a sly smile, internally cursing himself for not getting rid of these damn guys earlier, especially Yamamoto Chunai.

Damn, a newcor dared to challenge —I’ll definitely take her down first given the chance; she nearly ruined yesterday.

Watanabe Gou’s words seed fine at first, but Yang Xiao felt attacked. That "comrade" was too targeted, as he was the only Huazhu here; Takagi Reina was at best half.

Watanabe Gou was clearly reminding others that Yang Xiao was the outsider, one to be wary of.

Yang Xiao’s face was expressionless, but he sneered internally; evidently, this guy was determined to follow the path to the end with Yandeta Chiyoda—not bad. Once the clues are sorted, he’ll send these two off himself.

Daring to provoke Yang Xiao, how reckless—they should know the countless people who died at his hands could fill an enormous concert.

With the rest insisting, the lot drawing began. Takagi Reina volunteered to draw, representing her team with Yang Xiao.

But as the result unfolded, Takagi Reina held onto the slip, her face ashen as if she saw a ghost. The next second, Yang Xiao’s palm slapped the back of her head, "Useless fool!"

Indeed, Takagi Reina drew the black lot, aning tonight she and Yang Xiao must leave the Detective Agency to repeat the task of Yandeta Chiyoda’s group from last night.

"Mr. Chu Xi, Miss Takagi, you must be careful—that Ghost Train is packed full of ghosts. Slight carelessness will lead to a burial-less death." Yuanshan Chiyoda saw this scene with so gloating.

Although she hoped for Yang Xiao and his team’s demise, she didn’t want them completely wiped out since she needed their abilities to break through.

Though Yang Xiao and his partner have to leave tonight, the Detective Agency shouldn’t be left empty, so Kato Shinjiro volunteered to stay.

This decision left the newcor Sakai Misaki, part of his team, visibly puzzled and unwilling. But lacking experience and voice, she chose to follow Kato Shinjiro.

At least last night, during the Water Ghost’s attack, Kato Shinjiro proved reliable, earning Misaki Sakai’s heartfelt gratitude.

Originally, Yang Xiao and his partner could stay at the Detective Agency until ti was almost up before heading to the station, but contemplating opening the door at midnight changed their minds.

As the others departed one by one, the two eventually left the Detective Agency.

Unexpectedly, they encountered Xiao Lin Zhengyan and Yamamoto Chunai waiting for them downstairs.

"Mr. Chu, Miss Takagi, since we don’t want to go back and live, please allow us to follow you two tonight," Xiao Lin Zhengyan pleaded.

"Follow us?" Takagi Reina was taken aback, "You two want to board the train?"

"Ah no no, you misunderstood. I ant follow you until you get on the train." Xiao Lin Zhengyan, conscious of his and Yamamoto Chunai’s capabilities, knew they’d be dead before any ga started should they board.

"I don’t think Watanabe Gou will bother you again tonight; he’s not that free. But... if you want to tag along, go ahead," Yang Xiao said indifferently.

Seeing Yang Xiao didn’t refuse, Xiao Lin Zhengyan and Yamamoto Chunai visibly brightened up, quickly declaring their obedience.

"Obedient, right?" Takagi Reina chuckled sinisterly, "Then join us on the train tonight."
