The room was not small, probably a few dozen square ters in area, and was quite peculiarly structured. The whole room could be roughly divided into two parts. The left side was an office area, with several long wooden desks. The furnishings were very old, and each desk was covered with a single piece of glass. On the desks lay books, report binders, files, and similar items.

Each desk had a standing coat rack in its inner corner, draped with white lab coats as well as so personal clothing items. One of the desks even had a red telephone on it which, in such surroundings, was quite glaringly conspicuous.

The right side had been transford into an operating room, with three cold surgical tables neatly arranged about two ters apart from each other. There were also so supporting dical devices, and several tal cabinets placed against the wall with their doors tightly shut, the contents within unknown.

But before Yang Xiao could find a good hiding spot, suddenly, footsteps sounded outside the door again. However, what puzzled Yang Xiao was that the Frog Ghost didn’t rush in; instead, it left, the sound of its footsteps fading away until they disappeared completely.

This left Yang Xiao completely baffled. Could it be that this Frog Ghost was actually dumb? But judging from the previous two encounters, that didn’t seem likely.

Once everything outside had gone completely quiet, Yang Xiao took out his phone and entered 144552. The chat window popped up, and he imdiately contacted the woman, but after waiting for half a minute with no reply, he reached out to the rag doll, asking about their current situation.

But little did he know, once he asked, he actually got an answer. The rag doll told him that the Frog Ghost would not give up on prey that was already within its grasp. Its decision to stop at the door and then leave could an only one possibility: that Yang Xiao had run into the territory of another ghost.

Phone still in hand, Yang Xiao beca instantly alert. He held his breath and slowly scanned the room. In other words... there was a ghost hiding in this room!

Almost imdiately, Yang Xiao thought of the body lying on the stairs, which had been drained of blood, its death a grueso one.

Since he didn’t know the capabilities of this ghost, Yang Xiao didn’t dare to make any rash moves. However, one thing was for sure: this ghost definitely had the ability to turn invisible.

"Think fast, which of those two remaining ones can turn invisible?" Yang Xiao’s fingers trembled as he typed. The room was neither large nor small, with many blind spots. He had no clue where the ghost might appear next, and this uncertainty was the true horror.

Perhaps... at this very mont, the ghost was already right in front of him, yet he was completely oblivious.

"They both can, Hai Hai... as well as Hu, you can’t see them, only the Frog can be seen," the rag doll finally replied, and with that, the last shred of hope in Yang Xiao’s heart died. The difficulty of this task was simply infuriating.

"Are you still okay?" Perhaps sensing Yang Xiao’s mood, the rag doll thought to offer so comfort.

"If I throw you out there, could you buy so ti?" Yang Xiao asked by typing.

The rag doll didn’t reply for ten seconds, and then a burst of text ca rushing out at an incredibly fast speed: "Don’t do that, let think... I’ve got it, you don’t have to be too scared, they can’t see you either."

"Only the Frog can see you, please believe , they won’t find you so easily," the rag doll added, as if worried that Yang Xiao wouldn’t be convinced.

Now, Yang Xiao didn’t know what to do either. It was like two blind people trapped in a room, fighting against each other, neither daring to make the first move.

"Wu... wuwu..."

Suddenly, Yang Xiao’s ears twitched; he heard it, a very faint sobbing sound that seed to co from a woman, but he couldn’t be sure.

The sobbing was ethereal, as if coming from all directions. The only thing Yang Xiao could be certain of was that this was a ghost, and... it was in this room!

"Which ghost..." Yang Xiao paused, deleted the word "ghost," and quickly sent out: "Which one of them sobs?"

"Sobbing? That... I don’t rember," replied the rag doll.

Because of repeated recapturing and modifications during previous escapes, the rag doll’s mind was not as sharp, leading to many lost mories; this made Yang Xiao’s escape even more difficult.

Suddenly, as if struck by a thought, Yang Xiao typed again, asking, "Where is the main door of the hospital? Why is there only a lobby on the first floor, without any doors?"

"There is no use in you looking for the door now. We can only escape once you find my body," the rag doll said with conviction.

"Hai... Hahaha..."

In a flash, Yang Xiao’s hand, holding the phone, shook violently, almost dropping the device to the ground. He heard a very clear coughing sound, right beside him!

To be precise, it was behind the door!

The ghost... finally appeared, and Yang Xiao almost imdiately identified the other party, it was Hai Hai, one of the two remaining ghosts!

Yang Xiao didn’t dare to move an inch, judging by the coughing sound, it was a female ghost, coughing severely like soone with tuberculosis; he had given it a codena, calling it Sick Ghost.

This Sick Ghost was invisible and could cry as well as cough. While the crying didn’t affect him much, it was the coughing sound that could betray the ghost’s location.

Moreover, Yang Xiao knew all too well that the spot where the ghost was standing had been empty before he entered the room. That is to say, the ghost already knew soone had co in – it had followed the sound of the door being opened and closed!

Recalling the Frog Ghost’s large eyes, Yang Xiao speculated that this Sick Ghost probably used its hearing to kill.

Yang Xiao was now too close to the Sick Ghost, giving him a severe lack of a sense of security. Who knew if the ghost would suddenly take a step toward him in a fit? The consequences were unthinkable if they collided.

Yet he didn’t dare to move the slightest bit, as he was also unsure how terrifying the ghost’s hearing could be.

"Thud!"

The next second, Yang Xiao was startled. He widened his eyes and saw that less than a ter away from him, a hole had suddenly appeared in the wooden cabinet, as if pierced forcefully.

Then ca a slow, torturous scraping sound, like a very sharp knife being slowly drawn from the cabinet. This blade had actually penetrated the cabinet.

"Thud!"

Another stab, this ti directly at the door, piercing a small hole in it. Only now did Yang Xiao notice the peculiar shape of the wound left by the weapon, a very small circle, like a stick with a sharp, pointy end.

Indeed, the ghost had discovered his entry but still didn’t know his precise location. It would only be a matter of ti before he was skewered if he stayed any longer. Yang Xiao steeled himself and quietly took a step, ready to take a hit. As long as it didn’t kill him, he would still run.

But this ti he was lucky. As he stepped out, he wasn’t attacked. He slowly moved towards the desk, his gaze constantly sweeping around. He needed to find sothing useful, preferably sothing that could make noise.

He had to find a way to distract the Sick Ghost’s attention to escape; otherwise, he would eventually be caught staying here.

Soon, he noticed the red telephone on the desk. To his delight, the power light on the telephone was still on – the phone was usable.

He edged closer to the desk with feather-light steps. The next second—

"Cough... cough cough..."

This cough instantly turned Yang Xiao’s face pale as his body involuntarily froze; the sound’s location had changed, now it was less than 1 ter behind him!

What shocked Yang Xiao was that the Sick Ghost had managed to approach him soundlessly. If... if he had been a mont later, he would have collided with it!

Even more terrifying was his current awkward position. To his left and right were long desks, a few steps in front were chairs, and behind the chairs was a dead end creating a corner, and there was no hope of retreating, as the ghost was blocking the way behind him. A backward step would an colliding with it.

Even standing still wasn’t safe; there was no assurance the ghost wouldn’t suddenly strike. Now he had only one choice: to step on the chairs, climb on the table, and then flip over it. There was space to hide under the table, but a divider blocked it, making it impossible to crawl through.

This route was incredibly risky; he could not make a sound, which was nearly impossible.

"Thud!"

The next second, the ghost moved first, stabbing the long table and leaving a hole in it. The sharpness of this weapon was beyond imagination; it had pierced a hole in the glass without shattering it.

"Thud!"

Another stab, this one even closer, almost hitting right next to Yang Xiao’s hand. As the blade was withdrawn, Yang Xiao decided to take a risk. His calf muscles tensed, ready to use his agile movents to gamble. As he flipped over the table, he planned to grab sothing from it and throw it to create an opportunity for himself.

The plan flashed through his mind in an instant. The burst of energy in desperate situations is infinite. But just as he was about to jump and step on the chair, suddenly, a loud noise ca from afar. Near the operating table, a heavy iron chair inexplicably toppled over, creating a loud racket.

"There’s soone else!!" Yang Xiao suddenly widened his eyes.
