Squinting, she realized that it wasn’t the Soul-Capturing Mirror but an ancient-looking copper mirror, her first encounter with it.
"Old hag, you didn’t make good use of the opportunity, huh?" Yang Xiao’s voice ca from sowhere else, quite far from the woman, sounding ethereal.
What he needed now was to buy ti for Qu Muzhi’s ultimate spear blow. Even in death, he intended to drag the woman down with him.
Here in his Mirror World, he had a ho-field advantage, but soon, things were different than he expected. The woman’s figure mysteriously vanished, replaced by a vast area of erging trees. From beneath the thick leaves, a rustling sound arose, revealing his position. The blood-sucking roots were heading his way and just about to entangle Yang Xiao, but he vanished again, leaving another copper mirror on the ground.
Reappearing elsewhere, Yang Xiao gasped heavily. He had three such copper mirrors in total, acquired from the Chamber of Comrce. But now, two of them had disappeared, presumably taken by the woman who must have understood the abilities of the Soul-Capturing Mirror and covered the used mirrors with roots or dead leaves.
