Charon only received Abe's phone call in the evening.

[You bastard! Why didn't you say earlier that you've beco a mber of Elysion this ti? I don't answer anyone's calls during my rest ti, you know that?]

"I have no idea what you're talking about…"

At that mont, Charon was lying sideways on the sofa. In front of him, the television was broadcasting Ark-related qualification application advertisents. Aside from that, everything else was various kinds of entertainnt programs–especially the more intense and stimulating ones.

It was no longer a ti for restrictions of this or that. Even television stations were the sa. With not much ti left before moving into the Ark, everything was being relaxed, and to so extent, this also served to numb the emotions of those who would not be able to enter the Ark.

Even though everyone knew it was not very effective, it still had to be done.

"Hearing that the second-generation units are almost finished?" Charon asked.

[That's classified. You know a bit too much.]

"I don't think your tone sounds like sothing truly classified." Charon turned over. On the tabletop, the Shittim Chest conveniently switched to various current internet forums.

"News about the second-generation Fairy-Tale-type Nikkes has already spread across the entire internet," Rose comnted calmly.

"It just doesn't seem to be as popular as when the first generation ca out. And there are always the usual agitators saying things like the second-gen units will just be food for the Raptures. I wonder if that person just enjoys stirring chaos or is a die-hard first-gen fan?"

[That's why I've been saying this for a long ti. Given the current situation, it would be better to shut down the internet earlier, but the higher-ups simply won't agree.]

"If they agreed, that would be a disaster…" Charon said.

"Professor Abe, when you're free you can also go online and browse a bit–look at what kind of monsters exist on an unregulated internet. What do you think those people would do without a platform like this?"

[Then I'd rather not. First, I don't have "free ti." Second, I don't consu garbage.]

"Oh right, do you currently have any way to contact the Goddess Squad?" Rose asked.

Abe sighed.

[No. I have no connection to the Goddess Squad at all. They also don't have ordinary personal communication terminals. The central governnt needs them to maintain the "Goddess" image.]

"Pity. Looks like we still need to visit that laboratory. Speaking of which, has the geothermal generator been repaired?"

There was no regret on Rose's face at all. She had only asked casually. The easiest way for them to contact the Goddess Squad was still through Rose, who had connections with Scarlet.

[Hold on a second.] Abe suddenly reacted slowly.

[Who are you??]

The female voice that had been speaking all this ti–who exactly was she? And what was her relationship with Charon?

"I am Rose." Rose's introduction was extrely brief, which made Charon feel quite satisfied. She finally stopped calling herself "Sleeping Beauty" first.

However, for Abe, this was sothing they could now fully reveal.

"Ahem, let formally introduce her, Professor Abe," Charon said.

"This is the first-generation Fairy-Tale-type Nikke that does not officially exist–the No.1 unit, Sleeping Beauty, real na Rose."

"Yes, it's ." Rose also responded in agreent.

[...]

[...]

[...WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY????]

Charon was certain that if there were neighbors nearby, they would have been startled by that sudden explosive scream.

It was the first ti he had ever seen this usually calm and disdainful female professor produce such a shriek. Honestly–it was quite refreshing.

"Your reaction makes a bit afraid to introduce her to the Goddess Squad," Charon said with a smile.

It could only be said that Abe's reaction was, to so extent, expected. After all, he had never said he could resurrect anyone–especially soone like Sleeping Beauty, who had been reduced to nothing. This was sothing that directly challenged Abe's worldview.

[No, wait, hold on. Give an address. I'm coming over right now!] Abe's side sounded like things crashing and clattering.

"Are you even allowed to move around like that in your identity?" Charon asked skeptically. This woman was the foundational figure behind the second-generation Fairy-Tale units–would the central governnt really allow her to just go out?

[Don't be stupid. I already said I'm on break. I still have ti for a cup of coffee. I just need to make sure I'm not carrying any classified materials.]

[And most importantly… I am already a Nikke. I no longer have the possibility of betrayal.]

...

About two hours later, as night had fully fallen, Abe–disguised–appeared at Charon's apartnt door.

Of course, she was not recorded by any surveillance. If surveillance systems that capable existed, then the na "Sleeping Beauty" would an nothing.

Rose, yawning, casually replaced all surveillance footage–leaving not a single trace behind.

"I keep thinking this state is way too convenient. At least I don't have to type with my fingers anymore. That's tiring."

"…uh."

"What's that expression? Don't worry. At least when I ○○ with you, I'll still switch back to that physical body."

"You're talking nonsense again… wait, what did you just censor??"

"Knee pillow, of course. What did you think it was?" Rose smiled with a mischievous expression full of satisfaction.

"..."

Charon was at a loss for words. Rose, now empowered by the Shittim Chest, had beco increasingly unrestrained.

The Zero Zone's backing was simply too strong–it allowed Rose to completely detach herself from the world and observe everything from a higher perspective.

Knock knock.

"Door isn't locked."

The door opened. Abe, wrapped up like a dumpling, walked in, then imdiately closed the door, glancing through the peephole as if guarding against thieves. Only then did she relax and take off her coat.

"There's actually heating here… you're way too extravagant."

Underneath, she wore a black sweater that clearly emphasized her already exaggerated curves, paired with a light-colored OL skirt and black thermal stockings.

Compared to the forr talkative Abe, she no longer cared whether Charon looked at her.

At this point, it didn't matter anymore.

And Charon was even more straightforward–if she showed it, he would look. His gaze didn't even try to avoid it.

"After all, I won't be living here for long. The electricity is already paid through next year. Might as well live comfortably," he said.

Stepping in heels, Abe walked straight past Charon and sat down on the sofa, imdiately locking her gaze onto the Shittim Chest screen.

There, Rose stared right back at her. The two of them silently stared at each other for about half a minute.

"Say sothing already, Professor Abe," Rose said, arms crossed.

"Or is living inside a tablet computer unacceptable to you?"

Abe did not speak. Instead, she slowly picked up the Shittim Chest, examined the device, nodded repeatedly, and muttered to herself:

"Of course… that makes sense. That makes sense. That's not surprising at all."

"…what is she talking about?"
