For Liliweiss, although she loved being with Charon, her efficiency on the battlefield alone was on an entirely different level.

She understood what the governnt ant now–Nikkes were indeed better suited for missions.

Moving at high speed through forests and plains was, for her, an exhilarating experience.

Lifespan? Compared to dying helplessly in a hospital bed, living like this, with overwhelming power, personally tearing apart the Raptures that once hunted her, was infinitely better. At this point, every extra second she lived was pure profit.

And even if her estimated lifespan was around ten years, that was still a long ti. Unlike normal humans, she wouldn't gradually weaken, she would likely retain over 80% of her combat ability right up until the very end.

For her now, that was more than enough happiness.

Most couples struggled with the "seven-year itch," so in ten years, she figured she'd probably experience everything she needed to. After that… she'd have to find soone to spend the rest of Charon's life with.

Every ti she thought about that, it made her unhappy, but she had no choice. She couldn't let him stay alone forever.

It never even crossed her mind that Charon might reject her.

Well… considering the difference between her normal punch and a serious one, anyone would think twice.

"My life changed because of you—so you're responsible until the end!"

That was how simple her thinking was.

As for the researchers who turned her into this? Don't bring that up to a girl. Even low emotional intelligence has its limits.

Incidentally, during her little ntal tangent, dozens of Master-class Raptures had already been killed just from the shockwaves of her movent, not to ntion countless lower-tier ones.

"Commander, five minutes to the logistics center. I will temporarily release my full power to force Gluttony out," Liliweiss reported.

[Hah… hah… y-yeah… no problem… just… do that…]

Liliweiss frowned deeply.

For so reason, whenever she spoke to Charon, his voice sounded… strained. Almost like he was in pain, mixed with breathing.

"Why do you sound so strange?" she asked casually, slicing three stacked Raptures into minced pieces with a remote strike.

[Ah, that… I'm… training… hah…]

Liliweiss froze.

Wait… what?

She wasn't so clueless kid. Back in her teens, she had definitely read her share of "forbidden" books.

Fun fact: when girls get perverted, they can be far worse than n.

And those stories all said the sa thing, if soone on the phone is breathing weirdly and says they're "training," chances are… sothing else is going on.

But the front-line base was full of n…

Could it be…?

No. No way.

It must be those two VTC researchers.

Damn it. I knew they were after the Commander. I should've dealt with them earlier…

[Anyway… just fight normally. Based on what we know, Gluttony probably isn't your match, but you might not be able to kill it yet. The one we defeated before was likely just a part of its main body… like an octopus tentacle. Cutting it off doesn't affect the core, and it can regenerate.]

This ti his speech was normal again, which finally cald her down.

So… maybe he really was training?

"Understood, Commander. Then… please watch closely."

She cut the communication.

Then she took a deep breath.

Her entire presence changed instantly.

–Whoosh–

In a blink, she vanished.

The next mont, a massive explosion erupted among the Raptures at the edge of the city. The shockwave alone crushed every Rapture within 500 ters that hadn't reached Master class.

And before they could even react, another chain of explosions erupted hundreds of ters away.

Chaos spread across the entire city.

If the Raptures had a commander, they'd be completely overwheld, every ti they tried to reinforce one area, another was annihilated instantly.

Liliweiss's expression turned excited.

This was her first ti going all out since becoming a Nikke.

Every cell in her body pulsed with exhilaration. Every punch, every explosion pushed her higher.

Co on… co on… Gluttony… show yourself. Let's see how long you can hide underground.

Even Lord-class Raptures were nothing now, just one punch each.

Against her current state, their forr strength against human armies ant nothing.

Then–

A sharp, piercing sound split the air.

A violent gust descended from above.

Liliweiss looked up.

Her pupils shrank–

Then she smiled.

"It's you… you've finally co to see ."

Storm Bringer.

The representative of aerial Raptures.

Classification: Tyrant.

The very entity that had nearly killed her when she was still human.

Rather, surviving an encounter with a Tyrant-class Rapture spoke volus about her piloting skill.

But that didn't matter anymore.

When enemies et, hatred burns brighter.

Charon once spoke of revenge against the Raptures, and this was one of those targets.

Even if there were many like it, killing them one by one would eventually settle the score.

Liliweiss moved.

She crouched slightly, eyes locked onto the massive winged Rapture above, a feral grin forming on her face.

This was the first ti she'd ever looked like this.

Her life had ended because of it.

Her life had begun again because of him.

The latter would be repaid in ti.

But the forr–

She would seize every chance for revenge.

A shockwave burst from beneath her feet, cracking the ground.

At the sa instant–

She launched forward like a shell.

A sonic boom followed her ascent.

How fast was she?

Too fast for Storm Bringer.

In less than a second–

Its body was pierced through by an upward shockwave.

Fragnts scattered and fell from the sky.

Storm Bringer's survival ti: 15 seconds.
