Nikke, something’s seriously wrong with this evacuation point! Chapter 41 41: You Can Only Be a “Perfect” Goddess
No matter what Rose was feeling at that mont, the footage that had already been broadcast because of her actions could no longer be stopped.
People saw it, a seemingly fragile woman facing an almost limitless number of Raptures, not stopping for even a single step, but advancing forward relentlessly.
Liliweiss held the Netherblade and stepped forward.
It was a speed beyond what recording devices could capture, even on-site, it would be nearly impossible to follow her movents with the naked eye.
Only a silver afterimage remained on screen, and then waves upon waves of Raptures were harvested like crops by that ordinary-looking dagger.
Their movents were perfectly synchronized, once the silver flash passed, they froze, and then their bodies slowly slid apart along mirror-smooth cuts. Flas erupted as many of their cores short-circuited and exploded.
The Raptures in the sky had their wings severed, falling like teors through the clouds.
The Raptures on the ground had their limbs cut apart, turning into dust among the ruins.
The ones underground had their bodies dismantled, buried beneath the earth.
Not enough. Not enough. Not enough!
Charon had told her to remain calm, but in a situation like this, no one could truly stay calm.
Liliweiss poured all her anger and hatred into the dagger in her hand. With a casual swing, a blade of light would erase everything in her path.
Even Tyrant-class Raptures were included.
They tried to stop her, but without exception, when facing Liliweiss directly, her unimpressive dagger would dismantle them piece by piece like a master chef, the cuts smooth as mirrors.
Liliweiss continued forward, but the Raptures began to feel fear.
Even with infinite numbers, what did it matter?
Her very breath seed enough to crush everything before her. Even the Queen would not dare confront such power head-on.
Liliweiss raised her head, looking toward the space station above.
She knew, the Queen was there.
Beyond the true vacuum of space, humanity's forbidden zone, a place where it was unknown whether a Nikke could even survive.
She wanted to go. She truly did.
But she couldn't.
Humanity only had her. She couldn't risk everything for impulse.
If she won, it would be fine, but if she lost, or if the Queen destroyed the elevator, cutting off her return...
What would happen next was obvious.
Humanity would face destruction again.
These remaining ten years of hers must follow Charon's plan, she must beco humanity's "Goddess of Victory."
This broadcast, combined with Rose and Andrew's operations, would elevate her to a near-divine status.
Her existence alone would deter the Raptures.
At the very least, for ten years, the Raptures would not be able to launch large-scale invasions like before.
The Nikke Project must advance rapidly.
Humanity could lose Liliweiss, but the "Goddess of Victory" must exist.
Finally, Liliweiss clenched her teeth, holding back the tears that threatened to overflow.
She turned around, toward the cara, and walked forward steadily.
The Raptures began retreating, withdrawing completely into the ruined city, no longer daring to cross the line.
When she reached a position not far from the cara, she looked up, and slowly, firmly, revealed a perfect smile.
There was no shadow in that smile.
All her anger and sorrow were buried beneath the surface.
She… had beco the Goddess of Victory.
…
Bang!
A middle-aged man threw his thermos violently, it struck the door and fell to the ground with a sharp sound.
"Impossible, why didn't it work?!"
But no one mocked him.
Because everyone was holding their breath.
This world had always been dominated by technology, individual power ant influence, not absolute force.
But now, for the first ti, they witnessed raw power that crushed everything.
And it was sothing they themselves had created.
"Cut the signal! Cut it now! Liliweiss must not be exposed to the public!"
"No… it's too late." The head of the Air Force Academy could barely suppress a smile. "And this was done by a hacker, by the ti we regain control, everything will already have been seen."
"Now the public knows about the Nikke Project. Liliweiss's position is unshakable."
"If I were you, I'd start considering… alternative asures."
Everyone knew what that ant.
If she couldn't be erased, then she must be used.
"PR departnt, announce the Nikke Project imdiately. Contact the CEOs of the three major corporations."
"From now on, the Fairy Tale Model Nikke Project is top priority. Begin recruitnt at once."
"She wants to beco a god? Then let her." The old man at the head lowered his gaze. "But… the throne of a god is not so easy to sit on."
He suddenly looked years older.
…
Less than ten minutes after the broadcast ended, the Nikke Project was officially announced by the central governnt.
At the sa ti, the CEOs of the three major corporations held a joint press conference.
They fully disclosed the project, introduced Liliweiss's background, and outlined future plans.
They also began recruiting volunteers for Nikke conversion.
Because of Liliweiss, even the potential side effects, previously omitted, were now fully disclosed.
At first, the public reacted with skepticism.
So thought it was CGI.
So were afraid.
But within 24 hours, public opinion completely reversed.
Especially that final smile, it was branded as "The Smile of a Goddess."
Humanity had been suppressed for far too long.
They needed an outlet.
If Andrew had to describe that night online, he would call it:
"Religious fanaticism."
By the fifth day, dissenting voices began to appear:
– Criticism of existing military forces as useless.
– Fear of Liliweiss's power.
– And, absurdly, overwhelming demand for Goddess rchandise.
But all opinions shared one core idea:
"Liliweiss, you must not be injured. You must not bleed. Until another Goddess appears… you must remain perfect."
"I… understand."
