"Ana, Ana."

Charon gently shook the little girl's shoulder, but subconsciously worried that he might use too much force and scare her.

Although the library's temperature was kept at a comfortable constant, sleeping curled up among books like that still wasn't good.

A faint murmur broke the silence. Ana slowly opened her eyes in a daze. At first, her pupils were blank, then quickly focused on the person in front of her.

"Charon… sir?" Seeing him, she seed to wake up instantly, her eyes narrowing into crescent moons. "Good morning?"

It was obvious she was very happy—just from seeing Charon when she woke up.

"Mr. Charon, I've learned so new recipes these past few days. They're absolutely enough to et your full-day Zero Zone runs. I can make them for you right now. Also, the vending machine is too high, so I wanted to get a small stool to step on–using books is really–"

Ana's voice was soft and weak, but her joy was clearly visible. She seed to believe that being useful to Charon was her greatest happiness right now.

Before she could finish, Charon pulled her small body into a tight embrace, pressing her cheek against his chest.

"Thank you, Ana. Thank you."

He expressed his gratitude seriously and sincerely, without the slightest impurity.

"W-what… what is this all of a sudden?" Ana's voice grew softer and softer until it was barely audible. Her silver head rested against his chest, quietly feeling his warmth and the clearly audible heartbeat.

She keenly noticed that Charon's heartbeat was slightly faster than normal.

That ant he was actually nervous too.

"Ana, let's not cook today."

After a mont, Charon gently pulled her out of his arms, holding her shoulders and looking her in the eyes.

"Let's go play gas."

Ana blinked. "But dinner hasn't–"

"Let's just indulge ourselves today. Even dieting and training have cheat days, right? It's scientifically proven!"

"Th-then let's go."

Although she didn't understand why he suddenly had this idea, she naturally had no objections.

She didn't really care what they did here, she only knew that as long as she was with Charon, anything seed fine.

...

Entertainnt Room

This was the first ti both Charon and Ana had entered the entertainnt room.

After all, Charon already had ga consoles and a computer in his room, so he didn't usually need to co here. And lately, he had been focused on Zero Zone runs anyway.

Only after entering did Charon realize that the arcade machines visible from the entrance were just a decoy.

Not that they were fake–they were real. These unknown-brand arcade machines contained gas from ancient tis, modern tis, and even unknown parallel worlds. Just browsing through them was overwhelming. They could even run high-definition AAA titles, automatically popping out controllers from below.

But these "universal arcade machines" were just appetizers.

Further inside, everything changed completely.

Ahead was a full-wall virtual display system similar to what he had seen in Liliweiss's hospital room, but upgraded to an entirely different level of realism. Entire environnts could be generated automatically. There was nothing it couldn't simulate. Once generated, it looked indistinguishable from reality, only when you reached out could you feel the "screen," like an invisible wall.

By the way, Charon once randomly generated a view of Earth being swallowed by a black hole, which scared Ana badly and had to be shut down imdiately.

After that, environntal generation was left to Ana, who chose sothing like a Disney-style fantasy paradise at its peak–complete with gentle wind and warm sunlight.

And then ca Charon's favorite equipnt:

Imrsive Full-Dive Pods.

Two units, one large and one small, as if custom-made for them. Charon imdiately brought Ana inside.

This basically realized Charon's dream of first-person gaplay. Any genre, including existing gas or even imaginary styles, could be simulated in full first-person perspective. They could even play together online.

There was also a "god's-eye cinema mode" for imrsive viewing, though interaction with characters wasn't possible.

In addition, there were fully customizable relaxation areas, food-and-drink stations that could generate als on demand, holographic tabletop ga systems, music and art creation corners, and more.

Especially the relaxation zone that let you lie in a fantasy paradise under the sun–Ana loved it so much that Charon, who originally planned to ga in the pods, ended up reluctantly lying there with her for hours.

When they finally left the entertainnt room, both of them were still a bit reluctant to leave–but they had already spent three days inside and almost forgotten their original purpose.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Charon. I ended up making you spend so much ti here because of ," Ana said shyly. She had once dread of becoming a proper lady, but these past few days she had been anything but refined–completely carefree with Charon, having so much fun she forgot herself.

"You're overthinking it. Spending ti with you isn't a waste at all. Besides, I had fun too–can't you tell?"

Charon even looked more reluctant than she did.

"…I can tell," Ana replied softly, slightly embarrassed but also amused.

It was the first ti she had seen this childish side of him–losing at gas and refusing to accept it, getting frustrated over low singing scores, almost vomiting from an overly sweet "Arican donut milkshake," rolling around on simulated grass until he tumbled down a slope while screaming.

He looked like a big playful boy.

Sothing she herself didn't yet understand quietly began forming inside her.

"This place… I think we should temporarily seal it. What do you think?"

Charon stared deeply at the entertainnt room door. It looked ordinary, but those arcade machines felt like demons whispering, "Co on, play a little more…"

"I agree… we absolutely need restrictions. Otherwise, Mr. Charon will never reach his goal," Ana said seriously.

"Ten million."

Charon raised a finger, expression solemn.

"Every ti we bring out ten million Zero Zone coins, we can unlock this place once. That's the rule."

"It's decided."
