BOOM!
A tremor ran through Lin Hao’s body. Inside his Dantian, the Tai Chi Array Map, centered on his True Self, began to operate on its own.
A peaceful stream of energy instantly manifested, and in the next mont, his shattered bones and tendons had already reford.
With the imperial art of Body Refinent and his True Self generating blood, Lin Hao’s body was like a womb. Both the Tai Chi Array Map and his True Self relied on this body to exist.
Now that the body was damaged, they began to automatically protect it without any direction from Lin Hao.
A look of joy flashed across Lin Hao’s face as he moved his body again.
BOOM!
The suppressive force grew even stronger.
Lin Hao had just taken a single step when his body cracked apart once more.
However, the peaceful energy regenerated, restoring him yet again.
He looked up, but there was no end in sight to the Forbidden God Mountain. Nevertheless, Lin Hao’s fighting spirit soared.
And so, caught in a cycle of suppression and recovery, Lin Hao moved up the Forbidden God Mountain, inch by inch.
One day, two days, three days...
Gale-force winds and torrential rain...
Blizzards raged...
An unyielding obsession burned within Lin Hao’s heart. He climbed day and night without rest, step by step, drawing closer to the summit of the Forbidden God Mountain.
Finally, after ten days and ten nights, Lin Hao’s hand grasped the edge of the Forbidden God Mountain’s summit.
This was a forbidden land where no one had ever set foot!
But now, Lin Hao had done it.
Though his clothes were in tatters and he was covered in gri, Lin Hao slowly straightened his back and stood up.
The summit of the Forbidden God Mountain was wreathed in a swirling mist that gave off a peculiar, exotic fragrance. Lin Hao felt his mind clear and his spirits lift.
His True Self drove the Tai Chi Array Map into a frantic rotation, and the dense mist at the summit was actually sucked into Lin Hao’s body.
At first, the speed was slow, but gradually, it could only be described as frenzied.
No one had ever set foot here, so that dense mist couldn’t possibly be just mist.
It was a unique stream of energy that had gathered over tens of thousands, perhaps even millions, of years.
Lin Hao didn’t yet realize how incredible this energy stream was. If he had, he would have laughed maniacally for three days and three nights straight.
After absorbing this energy, Lin Hao felt his essence, qi, and spirit all reach an unimaginable peak. With every move, he felt brimming with power.
Even the suppression here was no longer a threat to him.
’The summit of the Forbidden God Mountain must be filled with countless Spirit dicines!’
Suddenly, Lin Hao’s eyes lit up.
Crouching down, Lin Hao’s eyes began to glow.
With just a single glance, he spotted several Spirit dicines that were at least tens of thousands of years old.
"I’m rich... I’m rich..." Lin Hao muttered to himself, his body turning around unconsciously.
The ground was covered in heavenly treasures!
BANG!
But his joy turned to sorrow as he suddenly slamd his head into a stone pillar.
After the impact, he raised his head higher and higher, his attention completely captured by the stone pillar.
There was no telling how tall this pillar was; its top was lost to sight.
To be precise, it was a stele.
A heavenly stele.
Lin Hao frowned, for he found it covered in strange runes, not a single one of which he recognized.
’These aren’t the writings of this continent!’
’Why would there be a heavenly stele like this on the summit of the Forbidden God Mountain?’
Lin Hao’s mind was filled with questions.
"Maybe this is so kind of treasure," Lin Hao muttered, circling it a few tis. Then, rubbing his hands together, he actually planned to pull it out.
However, no matter how hard Lin Hao tried, he couldn’t budge it an inch.
Lin Hao grew frustrated and then did sothing extrely indecent.
He took a piss on the heavenly stele.
He was still muttering to himself, "I don’t respect gods, I don’t fear demons, and I don’t even give a damn about the heavens! How dare you bump into !"
However, lost in his own muttering, he didn’t notice that as he did so, the strange runes on the heavenly stele were slowly fading away before disappearing completely.
RUMBLE!
Suddenly, the entire Forbidden God Mountain began to shake violently.
The Suo Demon Sect and the Heaven-Stepping Sect were also experiencing a massive tremor, as if a magnitude 10 earthquake was about to strike.
The powerful experts of the sects shot into the sky, all gazing toward the Forbidden God Mountain.
At the main gate of the Heaven-Stepping Sect, the eyes of Wu Taichu, the three Grand Elders, Lord Lingdi, and Xiaojiu were all filled with shock.
Xiaojiu had been back for ten days. Lord Lingdi had his own ways of communicating with it, and had subsequently told Wu Taichu and the others that Lin Hao had gone up the Forbidden God Mountain.
The Forbidden God Mountain had existed for countless ages. Not even Lord Lingdi knew how long it had been there; it was as if it had existed since ti immorial.
As more and more ti passed since Lin Hao’s disappearance, Wu Taichu could no longer sit still and begged Lord Lingdi to go rescue him.
However, Lord Lingdi revealed a startling fact: even if an Emperor Venerable were reborn, it would be extrely difficult to ascend the Forbidden God Mountain.
And yet, at this very mont, the Forbidden God Mountain had begun to shake.
Lord Lingdi’s eyes widened, a look of absolute horror on its face.
’Besides Lin Hao, who is currently on it, there is no one else who could make the Forbidden God Mountain tremble.’
’What in the world did he do?’
In truth, Lin Hao was quite innocent.
He was currently sitting on the ground with a gloomy expression. ’All I did was take a piss. Who did I offend?’
Just as he was about to get up, Lin Hao suddenly felt as if he were facing a great enemy.
Sothing was rushing up from within the mountain toward the summit at an incredible speed.
If he wasn’t mistaken, this thing was the true culprit behind the tremors.
’I’m screwed!’
’Don’t tell this Forbidden God Mountain was suppressing so peerless, ferocious beast.’
The Forbidden God Mountain had the suppression of the Great Dao, yet this thing was completely unaffected. Lin Hao’s face turned pale, and only a single thought remained in his mind: ’Run!’
BOOM!
Boulders flew as sothing burst out of the mountainside and shot into the sky.
Then, Lin Hao’s eyes widened abruptly.
He saw that all the Spirit dicines he hadn’t had ti to pick were being uprooted and were flying off in one direction with a great WHOOSH.
Lin Hao felt a pang of heartache and reached out to grab them.
SLAP!
Sothing slimy whipped against his hand, and the Spirit dicine he was just about to catch vanished instantly.
Lin Hao turned his head, wanting to see just what this thing was.
The next mont...
BOOM!
A massive force struck him, knocking him over. It felt like he had fallen to the ground, but then he realized the ground was moving.
And it was incredibly fast!
Frantically, he grabbed onto sothing, but before he could even catch his breath...
...the sensation of riding on clouds and mist washed over him.
His body was being carried by sothing, hurtling down the mountain at lightning speed.
Perhaps only a few minutes had passed when Lin Hao realized the pressure had vanished.
’Have I left the Forbidden God Mountain?’
This realization almost made Lin Hao cough up blood. He had spent ten sleepless days and nights climbing to the summit of the Forbidden God Mountain, and now he was back down in no ti at all!
His only consolation was that the area ahead seed to be the Heaven-Stepping Sect’s territory. If this thing had sent him back to where he started climbing, Lin Hao would have been angry enough to spit blood for real.
’The thing?’
’Right!’
Lin Hao leaped to his feet and finally got a clear look at what was carrying him.
When he saw it, Lin Hao felt a little dizzy.
A turtle!
It was a ridiculously large turtle!
Not counting its head, its body was about as long as he was tall.
"Could it be a descendant of the Profound Emperor?" Lin Hao muttered under his breath.
"Who’s the Profound Emperor?" a voice suddenly rang out, making Lin Hao jump in fright.
He looked all around. Besides him and the giant turtle, there were no other living creatures.
"You... you can talk?"
The giant turtle opened its mouth and retorted irritably, "You moron! I’m already one year old, of course I can talk."
Lin Hao’s mouth twitched. ’A one-year-old turtle can get this big?’
"You’re Lin Hao, the Ancestral Master of the Heaven-Stepping Sect’s Wu Taichu. They’re heading this way right now," the giant turtle spoke again.
"How do you know that?"
"I know everything that has happened within a hundred-mile radius in the last few thousand years," the giant turtle said.
"What?!" Lin Hao cried out in shock. It knew everything that had happened in the last few thousand years!
"But, aren’t you only one year old?"
The giant turtle replied, "That’s right. I was born ten thousand years ago."
’So its years are counted in ten-thousand-year incrents.’
"What on earth are you?" Lin Hao felt overwheld.
The giant turtle answered testily, "You’re asking ? Who am I supposed to ask! In my mory, the only impression I have of my origins is a single sentence."
"What sentence?"
"From the mont I was born, a voice echoed in my mind. It said that if soone could undo the seal on the Forbidden God Mountain, then I must..." At this point, the turtle abruptly shut its mouth.
But it was too late.
Lin Hao’s eyes darted around as he chuckled slyly. "Even if you don’t say it, I know. That heavenly stele on the summit of the Forbidden God Mountain was specifically there to suppress you. I broke the seal, so you have to acknowledge as your master!"
"Yes!" the turtle replied, devoid of energy.
Lin Hao rubbed his hands together, his eyes shining.
’This turtle’s origins are earth-shattering, and it’s unbelievably fast. It’s the perfect mount. I’ve hit the jackpot!’
However, the thought of all those Spirit dicines on the summit made him feel a pang of heartache.
Kicking its shell, Lin Hao said resentfully, "Little turtle, give back those Spirit dicines, now!"
"I’m only one year old, I’m still growing! Don’t be so stingy. Besides, I’m a divine turtle, the one and only divine turtle under the heavens. Don’t call ’little turtle’ in the future, it’s too embarrassing."
"Alright, to save your face, I’ll give you a new na. We’ll call you Turtle Egg," Lin Hao said with a deadpan, serious expression.
"What?! No way! This old man absolutely refuses!" The turtle was quite a character, exploding with profanity in its anger.
"’This old man’?! Whose old man are you?! Who do you think you are, calling yourself that!" Lin Hao was furious, kicking it as he spoke. "If you don’t like it, you can get lost! That is, if you want to be a rebellious Turtle Egg!"
Lin Hao was so absorbed in his kicking that he didn’t even notice soone had arrived.
anwhile, Wu Taichu and the others were rushing toward the Forbidden God Mountain. Halfway there, they saw a disheveled, grimy-looking madman abusing a ridiculously large turtle.
Nearby, Xiaojiu’s eyes were filled with terror as it prostrated on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.
Even Lord Lingdi took a step back, all the golden fur on its body standing on end.
Then its eyes shone brightly, reflecting the sun, moon, and stars as it stared intently at the turtle.
"Lin Hao, have you no compassion? How can you abuse a small animal?" Lord Lingdi finally said, taking a deep breath.
If one listened closely, they would notice its voice was very unnatural.
Lin Hao?
’That person up ahead is Lin Hao?’
Wu Taichu and the three Grand Elders were dumbfounded.
Over there, Lin Hao heard the voice, stopped kicking, and looked up. Seeing Wu Taichu and the others, his face filled with embarrassnt.
"Hey, it’s you! I’ve been thinking about you for a long ti. I am the one and only divine turtle under the heavens. Let’s be friends," Turtle Egg said, staring at Lord Lingdi and starting to move closer.
"You... you stay back," Lord Lingdi retreated another step, its voice sounding even more unnatural.
It couldn’t see through this turtle. Moreover, the turtle exuded an aura that even it found awe-inspiring.
This was definitely the most bizarre and astonishing thing to have happened since ti immorial.
