Now reading: Chapter 266: Invisible Creatures from Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor, a Eastern novel by Awesome.

The journey to the mountaintop will certainly not be easy. Moreover, it could be fraught with danger, because Shi Feng had once sensed from the outside world that this forest had not a trace of life, and in this forest itself, apart from encountering other Martial Artists who had entered, he indeed did not see any other living beings, not even insects, suggesting that sothing abnormal was at play, which must an sothing was causing the extinction of life in this forest.

This blood-colored space also harbored many demon beasts. It was certain that demon beasts had entered this place before, but they too were wiped out, leaving no corpses behind.

The silence around him was profound; aside from his own footsteps, Shi Feng heard no other sounds as he continued towards the mountaintop, braving ten tis the normal gravity.

Moreover, the Bloodthirsty Sword, was being underutilized. In the eyes of the warriors from the Heavenly Mist Empire, it was a peerless Sixth Grade Divine Artifact. Shi Feng used it to pave the way, which had provoked several cold remarks from Sacred Fla about how the ancestors of the Blood Pattern Tribe might revive from anger and climb out of their coffins if they knew Shi Feng was using the exalted Sacred Sword like a hatchet to chop wood.

"Hmm?" Suddenly, as Shi Feng advanced against the gravity, he sensed a murderous aura rushing toward him from behind, and quickly turned around, thrusting the Bloodthirsty Sword. But just as he thrust the sword, there was nothing behind him—absolutely empty.

The frown on Shi Feng’s face deepened. After a while, he slowly turned around and continued walking.

However, shortly after Shi Feng turned around, that murderous aura appeared again. With a thought, Shi Feng did not turn around, but a fierce blood-colored fla burst from his body, sweeping in all directions, turning the area into a blood-colored sea of fire, centered on Shi Feng.

"Squeak! Squeak!" Suddenly, Shi Feng heard the shrill squeals of creatures behind him, sounding like distressed rats, but when he turned around, sensing their presence, he detected no forms at all.

"Could it be so naturally transparent, invisible creature?" Listening to the chilling screams emanating from the blood-colored flas, which sent shivers down one’s spine, Shi Feng murmured softly. Yet Shi Feng sensed no trace of the creature’s presence, an occurrence akin to ghostly entities, but Emperor Nine Nether, who was thoroughly familiar with the forms of ghosts, knew this was fundantally different.

"If this creature is the entity responsible for exterminating other life in this forest, then how many of them might exist here?" If this entity had indeed exterminated the life in this forest, there were certainly more than just one. Being intangible and without essence, had it not been for his keen soul sensing the murderous aura, Shi Feng might have already been attacked.

Soon, the chilling, hair-raising screams stopped, and Shi Feng knew that the creature had been burnt to nothing by the blood-colored flas. The blood-colored flas that swept in all directions then rolled back and were absorbed back into Shi Feng’s body.

Knowing that these unseen beings existed, and possibly in significant numbers, Shi Feng beca even more cautious and continued towards the mountaintop.

"Ah!" Just then, Shi Feng heard a Martial Artist’s yell from the forest ahead; rushing over, he saw a Martial Artist’s body lying motionless in the void, his clothes torn, and his whole body drenched in blood. Shi Feng also sensed that the Martial Artist’s body had already beco a corpse.

Right under Shi Feng’s watch, the body quickly beca indistinct, and in the blink of an eye, the corpse turned completely into stark white bones. Finally, piece by piece, like so magic trick, the entire skeleton disappeared completely, as if completely evaporated from existence.

Shi Feng could tell that the martial artist’s body had been devoured completely by that mysterious unseen entity.

Then, with his acute soul sensing, Shi Feng felt waves of murderous intent rushing towards him—there were at least a dozen of those mysterious creatures speeding his way now.

"Burn!" Shi Feng used the most direct and effective thod; an icy, bone-chilling blood-colored fla erupted from his body and swiftly spread forward, sweeping through the area.

However, just when Shi Feng thought the blood-colored fla had reached those rapidly approaching entities, he realized that the fire swept forward without burning any living creature. This ant that, as his flas spread, those mysterious creatures, sensing danger, had retreated.

With a thought, the blood-colored fla rolled back towards him. Shi Feng stood his ground, once again finely tuning his soul to sense the surroundings. Facing these mysterious and unknown creatures, even Shi Feng dared not relax even slightly, for these elusive beings could pose a threat to his life. Perhaps the mont he let his guard down would be the opportunity for these creatures to strike.

After standing quietly for a mont and sensing no more murderous assaults, Shi Feng was ready to move when suddenly, he heard a series of footsteps behind him.

Turning around, Shi Feng saw a line of about twenty martial artists approaching. Leading them was a familiar figure in purple, the cold and stunning face of Princess Zi Yun.

Apart from Princess Zi Yun’s conspicuous purple battle armor, the rest of the martial artists were clad in white robes.

Although Princess Zi Yun had been ahead of Shi Feng earlier, they had taken different paths, so it was normal for Shi Feng to now be ahead of her.

When the martial artists saw Shi Feng, Princess Zi Yun’s face remained indifferent, showing no emotion, while the handso and refined young man in white beside her seed quite interested in Shi Feng. With a lazy voice, he said, "Unless I’m mistaken, you are the Black-clothed Death God?"

"You have the wrong person," Shi Feng responded indifferently to the young man in white before turning away without further attention to them and continued towards the mountain top.

"Wait a mont!" Just then, the voice of the young man rang out again.

"What?" Shi Feng turned around, his expression unfriendly as he stared at the man. There had been too many people interested in him along the way, and without exception, they were all left behind forever in this place. If these people failed to realize this as well, Shi Feng wouldn’t mind sending them on their way too.

Seeing Shi Feng’s unfriendly deanor, the young man slightly furrowed his brows, a trace of displeasure appearing on his face. However, he quickly composed himself and then said to Shi Feng, "You’re quite a figure yourself, and you must understand the situation here to so extent. There are creatures here that our eyes simply cannot see, but among us are three alchemy masters who can sense the murderous intent of those mysterious creatures."
