"Permanent freedom?" After hearing Shi Feng’s words, Zi Ya also showed longing on her face, permanent freedom... Hadn’t she once yearned for it so much herself? Ever since she beca sensible, ever since she knew her own mission, looking at the children around her, she had envied them, thinking how wonderful it would be if she weren’t burdened with this duty.
She’d also wondered why, of all people, she was the chosen one.
Following that thought, Zi Ya shook her head forcefully. "No, Brother Shi Feng, I beg you not to do this! I can’t destroy the hope of our entire Snake-man Clan for my own sake. The return of the Eight Separation Snake God to the world, leading our Snake-man Race to the glory and splendor of the Ancient Period. This hope has been carried on for tens of thousands of years within our Snake-man Clan! I can’t, for my selfish freedom, shatter the hope of my clan; doing so would fill with guilt for a lifeti!"
"Alright then!" After hearing Zi Ya’s words, after hearing her choice, Shi Feng silently nodded. But even so, without destroying this Purple Serpent incarnation, he’d have to figure out a way to eliminate its threat to Zi Ya.
"If we can’t kill it, then let’s seal this Purple Serpent and allow it to fall into a deep slumber once more, just like before." Shi Feng looked down, murmuring to himself, and then began to perform Sealing hand seals. But at that mont, a sudden change occurred. Out of the darkness, a massive golden Light Pillar suddenly descended from the sky, enveloping the Purple Serpent, which was being burned by the White Flas. In the blink of an eye, the giant purple serpent and the golden Light Pillar vanished without a trace!
"Ah! What’s happening?" Zi Ya imdiately cried out in alarm upon seeing the golden Light Pillar, "The Purple Serpent Body, it’s gone!" The disappearance of the Purple Serpent Body within her soul space was sothing she sensed with utmost clarity.
"This power of the Light Pillar!" Suddenly, this golden Light Pillar was larger than any before, but Shi Feng knew that its power was from the Source of All Things.
Could it be? Shi Feng faintly guessed sothing!
"Brother Shi Feng, what’s going on?" Zi Ya turned around to ask Shi Feng. Although she didn’t bla him, Shi Feng could see from her face that she was filled with a sense of guilt and self-reproach.
"This incarnation of your race may not be in danger. You should guard your mind right now. I’ll return to my own body first, then guide you back! Don’t worry, this incarnation should not be destroyed!" Shi Feng comforted Zi Ya. Then his soul body closed its eyes, his hands perford Sealing hand seals, and with a low shout, "Return to Body!" his form gradually faded like mist within Zi Ya’s soul consciousness, and then slowly disappeared.
When Shi Feng opened his eyes once more, his soul had returned to his body within the Priest Hall. Upon opening his eyes, he saw sitting in front of him Zi Ya, her appearance restored to beauty, her purple scales completely gone.
"Lord Shi Feng, how did it go?" The Priestess anxiously asked upon seeing Shi Feng’s eyes open. She was worried that Shi Feng might have indeed committed an act of genocide in the Territory of the Snake-man Clan—Mad Demon Shi Feng, what could he not do?
On the other hand, she was genuinely concerned about Zi Ya, the child whom she had watched grow up.
However, now seeing Zi Ya’s face looking as it always had, her breath still present, the Priestess slowly let out a sigh of relief. The child should be alright.
Shi Feng did not respond to the Priestess’s question, but instead checked his own body. "You did it again, boy! You’ve put in that state once again!" At that mont, the voice of the Sacred Fla sounded from within Shi Feng, a voice that if it had the choice to fight Shi Feng, would likely take the fight there and then.
Upon hearing the angry voice of the Sacred Fla, it seed undeniable that the Source of All Things had erged once again. Following this realization, Shi Feng felt a strange power fluctuating in the little finger of his right hand. His mind sinking into it, Shi Feng discovered that a bizarre small space had been opened up on his little finger.
As Shi Feng’s consciousness delved deeper into this small space, a fierce roar resonated within the dark confines; a massive Purple Serpent was coiling and hissing nacingly, its roar loud and ferocious.
Shi Feng sensed that at this mont, a mysterious connection had been established with the Purple Serpent, as if he had entered into a Master-Servant Contract with it—of course with himself as the master and the serpent as the servant. "What does that thing really want from ? Why is it being so good to now!"
After realizing this situation, Shi Feng murmured to himself. The "that thing" he referred to was naturally the Source of All Things.
Afterward, Shi Feng pulled back his consciousness and once again looked towards Zi Ya. Concentrating his right hand into a Sword Finger, he pointed at Zi Ya’s brow and coldly commanded, "Return! Zi Ya!"
"Return!" Suddenly, a dazzling white light sparkled where Shi Feng’s Sword Finger t Zi Ya’s brow.
As Shi Feng’s Sword Finger moved away, the brilliant white light gradually faded, and at that mont, Zi Ya slowly opened her sealed eyes.
"Princess Zi Ya, she’s awake!"
"Princess Zi Ya has finally awakened!"
"My little sister!"
The surrounding mbers of the Snake-man Clan, seeing Zi Ya awaken, expressed their joy with bright faces. Most of the people here had watched Zi Ya grow up since she was little, and this pure and kind-hearted girl naturally won the affection of these older mbers of the clan.
"Priest! Big Sister! Uncle Ke Ba! Aunt Lisa..." Zi Ya opened her eyes and scanned the tribal mbers around her. Lifting her gaze slightly, her eyes fixed on the face of the young man. Although it was dark in the night, her vision was not affected at all. Zi Ya noticed that the face she hadn’t seen for months now appeared even more commanding and impressive. She opened her mouth slowly, calling out softly, "Brother Shi Feng!"
"It’s good she’s all right, the girl is all right!" The Priestess, filled with joy at Zi Ya’s safety, then handed a Jade Bottle to Shi Feng, saying, "Lord Shi Feng, just now, the aura emanating from Zi Ya’s body climbed to Sect Level. I drew ten drops of blood from her finger, hoping it might be useful to you."
At the mont when Zi Ya’s presence had soared to the Sect Level, the Priestess indeed worried that the girl might co to harm, at which point their rage would provoke the unconscionable wrath of the Mad Demon upon the Snake-man Clan. Therefore, the Priestess used a Golden Needle to puncture the index finger of Zi Ya’s right hand, drawing ten drops of fresh blood, hoping that if a mishap truly occurred, the blood might sohow quell the fury of the Mad Demon.
At that ti, the Priestess even made a great decision: if Zi Ya indeed t with disaster, she hoped that the Mad Demon, on account of this blood, on account of Zi Ya, would only take her life and spare the rest of the tribe!
