Thinking of this, Chu Linfeng beca anxious and quickly spread his Divine Sense to survey the Jungle Wolves within a few miles. His powers being restricted also limited the use of his Divine Sense.
Now, Chu Linfeng could only observe things within ten miles using his Divine Sense, and it consud a considerable amount of his Heart Spirit, forcing him to reduce the range while increasing his speed.
Diligence paid off, and soon Chu Linfeng spotted traces of several Jungle Wolves. A plan ford in his mind to lure them one by one and slay them. To attract them, he would need to use Thunder Transformation, a technique capable of long-range attacks, which Lin Feng could manage up to a distance of twenty ters.
Chu Linfeng slowly approached the Jungle Wolves and halted when he was at an optimal distance, then manipulated the Thunder Elent within him, preparing to unleash Thunder Transformation.
At this mont, Sword Spirit advised, "Lin Feng, why use your own Power of Thunder and Lightning? You can directly harness the Power of Thunder and Lightning within this tower’s space. These thunder molecules can resonate as well and reach much farther than your Thunder Transformation attack.
Additionally, if you gather enough Thunder Elent, you can instantly kill the Jungle Wolves. This has nothing to do with the decrease in your power. Do you understand now?"
"I understand, of course. This is even more useful than Soul Slash. Soul Slash attacks nearby Jungle Wolves, while the Thunder Elent or other Elents resonating with you can target distant foes. I believe defeating Chu Qing and Chu Tong would be much easier this ti," Chu Linfeng said.
Indeed, understanding one elent can lead to understanding many others. Chu Linfeng slowly sensed the elental molecules within this space. He quickly discovered the Five Elents molecules were the most active and dense, whereas the Thunder and Wind Elents were much less so.
After a while, Chu Linfeng achieved resonance with the Thunder Elent and began to gather it. Although not abundant, this Thunder Elent surpassed the amount found in a Venerable Martial Realm expert’s Space Domain by far. Within a few breaths, he had amassed a significant amount of Thunder Elent.
The power level of the Jungle Wolves wasn’t very high, and a basic Thunder Attack was generally enough to severely injure them. Chu Linfeng then joked, "Little wolves, taste the flavor of grandpa’s thunder!" As he finished speaking, a red bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, hitting the closest Jungle Wolf to Chu Linfeng squarely.
The lightning instantly charred the Jungle Wolf’s body pitch-black. It struggled on the ground for a few monts before ceasing to move. Seeing that the Jungle Wolf wasn’t moving, Chu Linfeng chuckled internally, "Looks like there’s sothing on that Jungle Wolf. Otherwise, it would have vanished instantly as Sword Spirit ntioned."
No sooner had he spoken than he saw a white light flash on the Jungle Wolf’s body, and it disappeared, leaving Chu Linfeng staring in frustration, "You gotta be kidding . The mont I ntion it, it vanishes... how infuriating."
The lightning strike from mid-air that killed the Jungle Wolf alerted the other Jungle Wolves. Such a phenonon was unprecedented. Though the Jungle Wolves couldn’t speak, they possessed a certain level of intelligence. They began scanning in the Fourth Layer, and soon one Jungle Wolf spotted Chu Linfeng.
It howled skyward imdiately. As soon as it howled, many other howls echoed, and the sounds were getting closer, seemingly rushing toward Chu Linfeng.
Chu Linfeng was startled, glaring at the howling Jungle Wolf, wishing to slay it imdiately. Bringing so many Jungle Wolves to him at once would make it impossible for him to fight them all.
"Lin Feng, select a big tree as a hiding point, then use your Elental Attack. I believe no matter how many Jungle Wolves there are, they’re not enough for you to slay," Sword Spirit suggested.
"Sister Yue’Er, are you joking? These Jungle Wolves possess the Attack Power of Saint Martial Realm late stage strength. They can easily destroy these big trees. Hiding in a tree would be suicidal," Chu Linfeng said in frustration.
"You’re as clueless as a pig. Can’t you use Wood Transformation? Integrate into the tree, and no matter how powerful the Jungle Wolves are, they won’t see you. Then you can kill them however you like," Sword Spirit retorted.
"That makes so sense. I’ll give it a try!" Chu Linfeng replied.
He then selected a large tree and leaped onto it, experiencing Wood Transformation for the first ti. The sensation of rging with a tree was akin to rging with water and soil. At this mont, Chu Linfeng was the tree, and the tree was him.
He could see the growing number of Jungle Wolves below, yet the Jungle Wolves couldn’t see him. Chu Linfeng quickly gathered more Thunder Elent. After half an incense stick’s ti, he felt his current Spiritual Power could control the Thunder Elent only to its limit, unable to gather more.
At this mont, around twenty to thirty Jungle Wolves appeared on the ground, all losing their target and aimlessly looking around. So had even begun to howl, whereas others were preparing to leave.
Chu Linfeng couldn’t allow these creatures to get away, for there might be a key to opening the entrance within one of them. With a thought, another fiery-red lightning bolt appeared from above. This ti, Chu Linfeng aid the lightning at the most densely packed group of Jungle Wolves.
The descending lightning bolt was as thick as a barrel, instantly blasting at least five or six Jungle Wolves on the ground to smithereens. Nearby Jungle Wolves were also affected, severely injured, and unable to get up.
Seeing that this strike managed to kill at least seven Jungle Wolves, Chu Linfeng felt even more elated. Adding in the wounded ones, there were around twelve or thirteen, and at this rate, it would take a maximum of three attacks to deal with all of them.
From the ground ca the howling of wounded Jungle Wolves, with so lying motionless. Perhaps they were frightened by the incredible display of lightning, for the thunder wasn’t any weaker than their howls.
Chu Linfeng started gathering lightning again. Before long, another strike brought down a few more. By now, not many Jungle Wolves remained, having spread out, making it impossible to kill too many at once. Thus, he could only slay them one by one.
It took Chu Linfeng over an hour to slaughter these dozens of Jungle Wolves. Slowly descending from the tree to the ground, his attention was drawn by an object radiating a faint yellow glow.
Chu Linfeng was startled, wondering if the key had appeared. He quickly approached and picked it up, his face showing a complex expression...
