Chapter 334: Public-Spirited Citizens

Inside the dormitory.

Yu Xinghan asked, “What’s the ergency? You dragged over in such a rush—couldn’t you just tell online?”

Zhang Yu said, “I’ve got a target. Planning to hit them for a haul.”

Yu Xinghan paused, not rushing to agree or object, planning to first ask who the target was.

If it turned out to be soone like Ji Yuanshu or so upper-tier thug from the sixth or seventh floor, Yu Xinghan was ready to advise caution, reminding Zhang Yu that patience could avoid disaster—tough it out for one night, and you might just get used to it.

But if the target was so first-floor hick or the class bottom-feeder, then he was ready to fully embody brotherly loyalty.

“Who the hell does that kind of lowlife think they are, ssing with my bro?!”

Then Zhang Yu revealed his target.

“The Black Agricultural Underworld.”

“I found one of their dens,” Zhang Yu said. “Planning to raid it.”

Hearing that, Yu Xinghan relaxed a bit. “Oh, so it’s just black-on-black cri. Not robbing so upper-floor rich guy, then that’s fine.”

“But are you sure the two of us are enough? What if there’s a heavy hitter in there?”

“You don’t need to worry about that,” Zhang Yu said. “I’ve got a reliable source. The odds are solid.”

“A reliable source?” Yu Xinghan muttered inwardly, “Eighty percent chance it’s Zhang Pianpian.”

“From what I’ve seen over the past year… this Zhang Pianpian upperclassman probably isn’t just so fantasy girl Zhang Yu made up.”

As a seasoned veteran, Yu Xinghan was confident in that judgnt.

“If you’re living with a woman that gorgeous and powerful every day, and you’re not even fantasizing about her—only two possibilities.”

“Either Zhang Yu doesn’t like won… or their relationship is way beyond anything romantic.”

And Yu Xinghan was very sure Zhang Yu liked won.

“Eh, whatever their actual relationship is, it’s none of my business.”

“But if it’s Zhang Pianpian—the honor student from the Sigil Departnt—then this is probably a Righteous Gods operation against the Black Agricultural Underworld.”

He recalled that back on the first floor, Zhang Yu had also fought alongside the Righteous Gods in that battle against Wang Yin. That only confird Yu Xinghan’s theory.

“Cleaning up the scene for the Righteous Gods… a little black-on-black? No problem at all.”

As his thoughts raced, Yu Xinghan felt like everything had clicked into place. He nodded and said, “Alright. I’m in.”

Once they were set, Yu Xinghan left the dorm—off to another overti shift.

Not long after, Le Mulan arrived.

Hearing that Zhang Yu planned to raid the Black Agricultural Underworld, Le Mulan frowned. “I’ve heard the people in that organization… are ruthless and deranged. There’ve even been reports of civilians getting abducted to farm spiritual crops, only to be silenced afterward.”

“Going after them… isn’t that really risky?”

She sighed. “Zhang Yu, can’t we just keep selling seeds honestly?”

Zhang Yu said, “Le Mulan, let teach you sothing today. In Kunxu, you can’t take reckless risks—but you also can’t avoid risk entirely. You know the saying: no windfall, no fortune. If you just play it safe and work hard, you’ll never make it big here.”

He continued, “Right now, I can’t give you all the details. Just tell whether you’re in or not.”

“If you’re in, I’ll explain everything.”

“If not, then just pretend this conversation never happened.”

Zhang Yu knew that putting it to Le Mulan like this was unfair—she didn’t know anything about the plan and was being asked to make a blind choice.

But he also understood—that’s how these things worked.

You never get full disclosure up front. What matters is the trust between teammates.

Just like he trusted Zhang Pianpian and followed her lead, Le Mulan’s only basis for choosing now was trust.

Le Mulan looked at Zhang Yu, and mories flashed through her mind. They paused on that mont when Zhang Yu fought Wang Yin back in Songyang City. She rembered how lending him money to establish his Foundation had turned out to be the right decision.

She chose to believe in him again.

“I’m in.”

Elsewhere, Zhang Pianpian was monitoring the ssage history with Yu Xinghan and Le Mulan, nodding to herself.

“Looks like everything’s good.”

“Honestly, my little brother always had this strange aura—just a bit out of sync with the world around him.”

“But sohow, he always gets people to trust him more.”

On the day of the operation.

Zhang Yu and Yu Xinghan entered the Huolongyuan construction site as usual, posing as Civil Engineering Departnt students.

Le Mulan, anwhile, entered as a tourist.

At the sa ti, Zhang Pianpian maintained contact with all three, providing remote support via the Spiritual Realm Network.

Zhang Yu reviewed the plan in his mind.

Today, the three of them were acting as public-spirited citizens, teaming up with Zhang Pianpian to bust a flour production den.

As for how much “flour” was seized—well, that would be up to them to report.

To pull that off, ideally, there should be no witnesses.

Before long, the three arrived at a hidden tunnel.

“We’re here,” Zhang Yu said.

“Stand by,” Zhang Pianpian replied. “I’m unlocking the door using one of their EyeNet feeds.”

“But the mont the door opens, they’ll be alerted.”

“I’ll cover the surveillance and the Spiritual Realm Network for five minutes. That’s how long you have to take them out.”

As she spoke, the wall in front of them trembled and then rumbled open.

“I’m going in first,” said Zhang Yu.

He surged forward, his Martial Qi flaring like a storm.

They already had the layout of the hideout, which Zhang Pianpian had provided. Zhang Yu had studied it thoroughly.

An arrow floated in front of him, pointing the way to the goods.

“First priority after breaching—secure the rchandise before they can destroy it.”

As he charged forward, a group of gang mbers rushed him, unleashing fists and Martial Qi without hesitation. These were hardened criminals used to torture and murder.

They didn’t hold back.

But human-shaped Martial Qi flickered through the air, unleashing techniques like Back-Dragon Mountain-Toppling Grip, Dragon Elephant Mountain-Crushing Palm, and Limitless Cloud Hands.

None of the attackers even got close—every one of them was blasted into the walls, bloodied and broken.

Zhang Pianpian's voice ca through: “Only one Foundation Establishnt cultivator is guarding the place. The rest are all at Qi Refinent level. Make sure none of them survive.”

Zhang Yu crushed his way through—anyone in his path was turned to mush in one blow. The rest backed off in terror.

At the storage area, a shadow lunged out from the dark.

“He’s here,” Zhang Pianpian warned.

Above the shadow, a giant red X floated—along with the words: Foundation Establishnt. Stall him.

Boom!

A five-ter-tall brute exploded out of the darkness and slamd into Zhang Yu.

Chaos erupted. Soone shouted, “We’re under attack!”

Another yelled, “Why can’t I get online?!”

So tried to flee, but were punched back in by Yu Xinghan.

“Yu Xinghan, Zhang Yu has engaged the Foundation Establishnt. You handle the rest—no survivors.”

Yu Xinghan stepped in. Through his EyeNet vision, every enemy was marked with a red X, making them easy targets.

He chuckled, then moved like lightning. Every step left blood and gore scattered through the hideout.

So tried to flee down another corridor, but a blast of Martial Qi froze them solid mid-sprint—Le Mulan’s doing.

“Le Mulan, hold that position—don’t let anyone escape.”

“Once Yu Xinghan’s done, all three of you will team up on the Foundation Establishnt.”

anwhile, the brute glared at the slaughter around him and roared, “Do you know who owns this place?! You’re all dead!”

Lightning-fast Martial Qi phantoms kept flashing by him—it felt like being besieged by a team of Foundation Establishnt cultivators.

He was stronger than them individually—but they were endless. Every ti he smashed one, more took its place.

He took a deep breath. His Heart-Core Law Husk throbbed violently as he prepared to activate Heart Ignition Mode, pushing his full martial arts into overdrive.

But suddenly, EyeNet notifications flashed:

Transaction: -10,000 Seven Sentints Coins

Transaction: -15,000 Seven Sentints Coins

“What the hell?!”

Fear Sigil—Activated!

The sight of his savings evaporating froze him in place.

Before he could realize it was a sigil-induced illusion, more ssages bombarded his vision.

“Mastercrafted Law Husk Components—Now Available!”

“Dragon Soul Workshop—Perfection in Every Detail!”

“HeartWound dical Offers Zero-Interest Installnts…”

Ad Sigil—Activated!

Ads flooded his vision until he could barely see the battlefield.

Zhang Yu appeared behind him, his palm ablaze with Martial Qi and the force of Nine Heavens Cloudstride Force.

Boom!

The blow landed squarely on the brute’s back.

Blood spurted from his mouth as he struck back—only to destroy another Qi construct.

A frigid chill invaded his body through the blow, making him shiver uncontrollably.

Soon after, with all the gang mbers exterminated, Yu Xinghan and Le Mulan joined Zhang Yu in surrounding the brute.

The brute howled and unleashed a storm of palm strikes, flailing like a mad beast in every direction.

Zhang Yu held the front line, using his layered Martial Qi and toughened body to tank the majority of the assault.

Yu Xinghan entered Full Focus Mode through the Celestial Martial Heart-Forging Technique. Under the scrutiny of his Three-Eyed Divine Sight, the brute’s movents slowed dramatically.

He didn't copy the brute’s moves—just spotted flaws and struck.

Le Mulan, on the other hand, kept her distance, sweat infused with stimulant flowing from her palms. She paired it with icy mana, injecting both cold poison and drug effects into the brute’s body with every strike.

Watching his roommates fight, Zhang Yu thought, “Even though we all use Dao Seeds, the way we develop them is totally different.”

“Compared to Chain Diagrams, Dao Seeds are more like potential—how much power you draw out depends entirely on how you develop them.”
