"Why not have another?" He pulled her onto his lap, "Wouldn’t one boy and one girl be better?"
"You should sort things out with Alexander first."
"Should I just drag him in front of now and tell him, ’I’m your father?’ Hmm?" Asher Land said nonchalantly.
"Do whatever you want." Sophie Smith snorted, "Back then, when I wanted to tell Alexander, you wouldn’t let . Now we’re about to get married, and if you still don’t say anything, Alexander might just think of you as a stepdad in his heart."
"You should think it over carefully yourself." Sophie said, then got off him. "Oh, and if you could sort out your relationship with Alexander soon, then..."
She thought for a long ti before finally making a decision, "Then I’ll promise to have another child with you."
Of course, to achieve this goal, he needed to try harder.
...
He took a two-month long leave.
All the company’s affairs were temporarily managed by Asher Land.
The upcoming wedding with Sophie was a major reason. He wanted to put all his effort into creating a wedding she would never forget. Besides, after the wedding, there was the honeymoon and starting a family, so taking a break was absolutely necessary for him.
Sophie had pushed off most of her work, so she too got a rare chance to relax.
In the morning, the family of three was having breakfast downstairs.
Alexander had a few bites, then checked the ti; it seed he should be going to school.
"I’ve already arranged for you to take so ti off school," Asher Land said to the bewildered Alexander.
"Why?"
"Why ask so many questions? Isn’t not having to go to school a happy thing?"
Sophie gave Asher a sideways glance, thinking, is this how he plans to raise their son?
Sophie was just about to say sothing to Asher when his voice interrupted her.
"We’re going to Germany the day after tomorrow to watch the F1 race," Asher told Alexander.
Alexander had loved racing since he was little, and upon hearing that Asher was taking him to see a top-tier race, he was montarily stunned.
"Uncle, are you serious?"
"Yes." Asher nodded indifferently.
Seeing Alexander’s delighted expression, Sophie couldn’t help but smile.
...
Alexander eagerly awaited the day Asher was supposed to take him to Germany.
Sophie packed their luggage for them.
"Mommy, aren’t you coming?" Alexander noticed there were no clothes of Sophie’s in the suitcase.
"Alex, Mommy has sothing to do, so I can’t go with you." She had already planned to give Asher and Alexander a chance to spend so ti alone.
Asher, who was sitting on the bed reading a magazine, tightened his grip when he heard her words.
She’s not going with them?
"Sophie, you have to co with us."
A family trip wouldn’t be complete without her.
"Asher, don’t tell you’re not confident in taking care of your own son." Sophie whispered in his ear so only the two of them could hear.
Sure enough, after hearing her slightly sarcastic comnt, Asher’s face darkened.
He threw the magazine onto the bed, then got up and walked over to Alexander, looking down at the little guy with a pout and so dissatisfaction.
"Pouting won’t help; it’s just the two of us going."
