After trying on the wedding dress and lingering for a long ti, evening had co. Asher Land took Sophie Smith out for dinner before preparing to head ho.
The car drove through the bustling, noisy streets illuminated by neon lights. Sophie turned her head towards the car window, quietly observing everything around her.
Asher Land wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
The beautiful image of her in the wedding dress lingered in his mind like a spell he couldn’t escape.
The car stopped at a traffic light.

"What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? You look terrible." Sophie looked at Asher, who was leaning against the headboard in a trance, with so confusion. She ran to the kitchen, poured a glass of warm water, and handed it to him. Asher took it and sipped.
"I’m fine." Seeing the worry on her face, he slightly curled his lips to reassure her.
He placed the glass on the crystal table beside the bed and gestured for her to co closer.
"It’s getting late, co and rest."
"Okay." Sophie obediently climbed into bed and lay down beside him.
That night, Sophie sensed that Asher hadn’t fallen asleep and even faintly heard a slight sigh from him.
What was wrong with him? Was there sothing troubling him?
Finally, he gently got out of bed and walked to the study.
It was already past three in the morning. He sat at the desk for a long ti before finally picking up his phone.
He called Robert Williams.
"Help investigate Irene Morton."

When Sophie woke up in the morning, Asher was already not by her side.
She rembered that last night, he seed to have had insomnia and then left the bedroom for the study.
Later, she waited for him until she fell asleep, but he never returned.
Early in the morning, Sophie felt completely unsettled. She had a lingering feeling that Asher was hiding sothing from her.
She shook her head, telling herself not to overthink it.
Going downstairs, Asher was nowhere to be seen. Sophie increasingly felt that sothing was off. Normally, wherever he went, he would give her a quick notice. He would never leave without saying a word like today...
Feeling a bit disheartened, Sophie ate breakfast. She didn’t know what exactly was bothering her.
After breakfast, feeling sowhat bored, she went to Eva Miller’s house.
"Sophie, how do you still have ti to visit these days? Isn’t your wedding with President Land approaching?" Usually, she shouldn’t have such leisure ti now.
"I don’t have to worry about the wedding at all — with Asher Land, it’s enough."
All the wedding details had been planned by him. When Sophie said this, her lips curved into a smile.
At that mont, Eva finally understood the aning of the phrase on Twitter, ’Be a woman like Sophie Smith and marry a man like Asher Land.’
