Asher Land wanted to comfort her by saying Irene Morton wouldn’t harm her, but he suddenly felt there was no need to say it.
Irene Morton is indeed quite pitiful now, she is overwheld and definitely has no energy to do anything hurtful.

She tightened her embrace around his waist, resting her head on his chest.
"Asher Land, thank you for telling the truth."
At least she doesn’t feel left in the dark; even if Irene Morton hasn’t left Eastern City, even if he went to see her, he was honest with her, and that was still good.
Sophie’s attitude left him a bit uncertain, so he didn’t say more, just closed his eyes wearily.

People were talking about the priceless wedding diamond ring Asher Land gave her, about her unique and stunning wedding dress, and about how she and Asher Land t and got to know each other. Various versions of their story spread; so made it a fairy tale, others made it a movie, but so also said, what fairy tale, what movie, it’s just an actress from the entertainnt industry carefully plotting to marry into a wealthy family, using so tricks.
Sophie Smith turned off the TV, tossed her phone aside, and ordered everyone not to leave magazines or newspapers where she could see them.
She didn’t know what was wrong with her, she always felt apprehensive when hearing these things.
Perhaps it’s pre-wedding jitters.
"Miss Smith..." The maid ca over with the phone she had tossed aside, "Your phone kept ringing just now, I thought it was urgent, so I answered it for you. It was a call from Miss Eva Miller, she said if you have ti, please call her back."
Sophie Smith picked up the phone and, without hesitation, called Eva Miller back.
