Sophie Smith put away her phone, snapped back to reality, and scanned the room, but couldn’t see Asher Land anywhere.
She stood by the railing on the second-floor hallway, looked down, and saw Asher Land sitting on the sofa in the living room.
This stubborn man.
Sophie walked downstairs softly, approaching him.
He looked up at her, only to see her smiling gently, her eyes focused and earnestly staring at him.
"Did I move you?" He raised his handso eyebrows and asked nonchalantly.
Sophie sat down on his lap, her hand resting on his shoulder.
"Asher Land, thank you..."
What he did today undoubtedly helped clear her na in front of the dia, and it was indeed very effective.
"In another way?" He leaned in closer to her, and Sophie instinctively pulled her head back a little.
Asher frowned, displeased, "Sophie, your way of expressing gratitude is really lacking sincerity."
Sophie glanced around the living room, with so many maids coming and going, how could she not feel embarrassed?
"Looks like your so-called gratitude is just lip service," Asher turned his head away.
Sophie shook her head helplessly.
She reached out her small hand, gently turned his head back toward her, then brought her lips to his, noticing the obvious smile at the corner of his mouth.
She was initially sitting sideways on his lap, but he lifted her into a straddling position, making her appear completely initiatory.
His hands lazily spread out, resting on the back of the sofa as Sophie lowered her head and kissed him for a mont, just about to pull away when his big hand suddenly ca up, gripping her head, kissing her deeper.
"Enough..." She weakly tried to push him away, noticing the maids cautiously watching them, sneaking glances.
How embarrassing, Sophie thought to herself, her small hands pressed against his chest, trying to maintain so distance.
Unexpectedly, he suddenly stood up, cradling her in his arms, and headed upstairs.
The blush on the maids’ faces deepened.
"I heard the young master might be planning to have another baby with Miss Smith," the maids whispered among themselves.
"Really? How co there’s not even a hint of that, they just decide to have one?"
"It’s not that simple; the young master and Miss Smith have been planning it for a long ti. Haven’t you noticed the recent ’activity’ in the master bedroom? The young master and Miss Smith are making quite an effort..." a maid said, her face still blushing, speaking in a hushed tone.
"Oh, you..." One maid joked, "Be careful, or I’ll tell the young master that you were spying at the door."
"Hey, don’t say that!" The maid who revealed the information panicked, "I wasn’t spying, I was just passing by the master bedroom and heard so noise, and last ti the little young master insisted on finding his mom, and then..."
The maid stopped halfway, while everyone else stared at her with eager gossiping eyes.
"Then what happened? Tell us, tell us!"
"Then I couldn’t stop him in ti, and the little young master rushed into the master bedroom, ruining the young master’s ’mont’."
The maids chid in excitedly, all simultaneously glancing at the tightly shut master bedroom door upstairs, each with their own thoughts.
"Right, I need to check if the little young master is asleep, in case he wakes up later, I must stop him, he absolutely cannot ruin the young master’s ’mont’ again," one maid volunteered enthusiastically to help Asher Land relieve his troubles.
