Luke Land was at a loss for words, "Fine, you eat as much as you want..."
He grabbed the car keys and walked out. He knew Eva Miller’s taste, and lately, she seed to have a special preference for spicy and sour foods.

The rumors about Eva Miller’s possible pregnancy did not subside; instead, the interest grew stronger. Eva thought to herself, the entertainnt world must be too calm lately, so everyone is fixating on the photos of her going to the hospital for a check-up.
Damn it, Eva really wished Sophie Smith would co back soon, casually show so affection with Asher Land, maybe have a kid or sothing, to divert the dia’s attention from her.
Now she couldn’t even leave the house for a while.
The doorbell rang, and Eva was a bit annoyed. Damn Luke Land, doesn’t he have the key to her place? Why does she have to open the door?
Reluctantly, Eva walked to the door, and upon opening it...
"Dad, Mom, you... why are you here?"
Eva’s eyes almost popped out looking at Father Miller and Mother Miller standing at the door.
Father and Mother Miller didn’t live in Eastern City, so why did they co over without a word or a warning?
"Eva, are you pregnant?"
Father Miller stared into Eva’s eyes. He knew his daughter all too well; as soon as she lied, he could tell.
"No, no way, the dia’s just making things up..." As she spoke, Eva’s voice got softer, and finally, her eyes lowered.
The signs were all there that she was lying.
"Whose child is it?"
"I’m not pregnant."
"You’re coming with to the hospital for a check-up now!" Father Miller had old-fashioned thinking and was strict with his daughter. Premarital sex and having a child out of wedlock were things he would never allow.
"Dad..." Eva had been afraid of her father since she was a child. Hearing him say this made her even more anxious.
"I... am pregnant."
Sure enough, Father Miller and Mother Miller exchanged a glance.
"Eva, tell your mom, whose child are you carrying?" Mother Miller was not as severe. "All the rumors from the dia are negative. Hearing them is painful for us."
Eva hesitated. Could she say that the father of the child was already gone?
If she did, Father Miller would be even more furious.
Just as Eva hesitated, the door opened again. Luke Land had co to bring her lunch.
Luke Land was also a bit dumbfounded to see Father and Mother Miller there.
"Is he your boyfriend?" Father Miller scrutinized Luke from head to toe as if conducting an examination, "Is the child his?"

When Eva called out like that, Luke Land understood a bit more.

"Since the child is yours, you have to take responsibility for Eva!" Father Miller would not allow his daughter’s dignity to be tarnished.

Luke Land could not wish for more.
"Dad, I don’t need him to be responsible. At worst, I just... won’t keep the child."
"Eva, what nonsense are you speaking?" Mother Miller pulled her daughter aside gently, "That man seems quite decent. If he’s willing to take responsibility, that’s a good thing. At least he has so sense of duty, right?"
