Alcohol?
The alcohol must have a problem; otherwise, how could he get drunk after just one bottle given his capacity?
"Did he say anything else?"
"He said, if, if a lady cos looking for you, give her the room card."
Later, Sophie Smith did co. This person simply wanted to sabotage his relationship with Sophie, so who would dare to do it?
"Luke Land!"
That’s right, it must be him. Apart from him, no one else would have the motive or the guts to do this!
He stord out of the office like a gust of wind and drove towards a certain entertainnt venue. He had to find out the answer imdiately.
In the large private room filled with smoke, clinking glasses, a few scantily clad won surrounded a man, creating a depraved atmosphere.
Asher Land burst in, his eyes red like an angry leopard.
"All of you, get out!" He pointed at the scantily clad won.
The few won looked pitifully, seemingly frightened, at Asher Land.
"Ladies, head out first; I’ll co find you later." Luke Land sat up from the sofa, adjusted his clothes, and spoke to the beauties beside him.
"Yes, Young Master Land." The won dutifully withdrew, leaving only the two brothers in the room.
"Third Brother, you’re not here to accuse , are you?" Luke Land spread his hands, looking helpless.
"Tell , was it you who set up the hotel trap last ti?"
"Yes." Luke Land made no effort to hide his actions; he had nothing to conceal.
"Who the hell told you to do this!" Asher Land stepped forward, grabbing Luke Land’s collar, his eyes fierce, forcing him into the corner.
"Just offering a woman to you, why get so angry?" Luke Land remained indifferent, a hint of a wicked smile on his lips, "Aren’t you fond of won?"
"Don’t assu you know !" Asher Land exerted force, throwing Luke Land onto the sofa.
"I’m warning you, stay out of my personal life, or else, go back to Europe; Eastern City doesn’t have room for you."
"I’m doing this for your own good!" Usually gentle with him, Luke Land finally exploded, "Have you forgotten Big Brother’s fate? Do you want to repeat history?"
"How I act is my business."
"Heh, you really do have a knack for things." Luke Land chuckled lightly, "If you keep tangling with that woman, I reckon she won’t have good days for long."
"Touch her once, and I’ll repay you a hundredfold!"
Asher Land finished speaking and stord out.
The truth had finally co to light, and he hurried to provide her with this explanation, revealing his eagerness to prevent any misunderstandings.
...
Wyatt Sterling drove her to the building downstairs, got out, and opened the car door for her.
"Today, thank you so much."
He helped her schedule a doctor, arranged appointnts, and ensured all confidentiality asures were in place. If she were alone, she would probably be exhausted.
"Is it okay for to escort you upstairs?"
"Well, ..." Sophie hesitated for a mont and glanced at the apartnt building, noticing the lights were off, proving Asher Land was not ho.
"You’ve been a great help today; co up for a cup of tea."
"Sure." Wyatt Sterling rarely smiled. Today, his mood was even more uncertain than hers. He hadn’t smiled all evening.
Going upstairs, Asher was indeed not ho, which instantly put her at ease.
She ran to the kitchen to make him a cup of hot tea, and Wyatt Sterling stood in the living room, carefully observing everything inside.
His gaze fell on the suit jacket on the sofa, then noted the several pairs of n’s shoes at the entrance. He deduced this was where she and Asher Land usually lived.
Sophie handed him the tea, catching where he was looking, and a faint embarrassnt showed on her face.
She walked over to take the suit into the room and organized the shoes.
"Sorry, the house, the house is a bit ssy."
"No problem." Wyatt Sterling smiled lightly, sitting on the sofa, pretending not to care.
But the house was filled with Asher Land’s presence, like the cigarettes on the coffee table, the sports magazines on the sofa, or the n’s products in the bathroom...
