"What do you an by playing with you?" Irene’s lips curled into a seductive smile, her whole body softly leaning towards the man.
"That woman, she’s clueless. Playing with her won’t be fun, right? How about letting her go... and let keep you company?" Irene tried her best to maintain a calm deanor, making her voice steady.
After hearing her explanation, the man’s lips curled into a grin.
"Heh, I couldn’t tell you had such a taste. She might be clueless, but alright, I want to see how you’re more interesting." The man lifted Irene horizontally in his arms and headed towards the hotel next door.
Irene struggled uneasily, feeling as if she were sinking underwater, that desperate feeling of suffocation leaving her mind oxygen-deprived and blank.
Inside the room, Sophie was continuously pounding on the door, desperately anxious.
"Irene!" She shouted Irene’s na, but there was clearly no response from outside. She was at a loss, her phone wasn’t on her, and there was no phone in the room either. She forced herself to remain calm, pressing her body against the door, carefully listening to any movent outside, hoping soone might pass through the corridor so she could seek their help.
Ti passed by the second, no footsteps, no sounds of disturbance, leaving Sophie’s eyes slightly red with urgency.
After about half an hour, Sophie finally heard so movent outside, it was a conversation between a man and a woman.
"Help, please help !" Sophie banged on the door forcefully, seeing the man and woman in the corridor exchanging glances and eventually stopping outside the door.
"How can we help you?" Soone outside asked.
"The door is locked from the outside, would you please help open it! Hurry, please!"
The man started kicking the door, but after many attempts, it was to no avail, "Wait a mont, I’ll go upstairs for tools!"
After retrieving the tools, the man soon managed to open the door.
"Thank you, thank you!" Sophie didn’t have ti to say much, she quickly dashed downstairs, but where should she go to find Irene?
She stood in the night, her eyes wandering around at everything, and after a long pause, she finally moved, desperately running towards her car.
She took out her phone, there were dozens of missed calls, she didn’t have ti to see who called, she found Asher Land’s number and dialed.
As soon as the phone rang, it was answered.
"Where have you been?" He had been calling her phone continuously, but no one answered. He was always sensitive regarding her; he feared sothing would happen to her.
"Asher Land, co quick, co to save Irene!" Sophie’s voice was sowhat urgent.
"What’s wrong with her?"
"I can’t explain it all right now, you need to co quickly. I need to call the police now." Sophie’s words were a bit hasty, leaving Asher puzzled.
As he headed to the parking lot, he didn’t let her hang up, "Panicking won’t help now, can you tell what’s happened, okay?"
Sophie knew panic wouldn’t help either, she cald down and told him everything that happened tonight.
"Don’t call the police," Asher Land’s voice was frighteningly deep.
"What?" Sophie was a bit confused, "Why not call the police? Irene is in danger."
"Leave those people to to handle."
If it was simply resolved by calling the police, wouldn’t that be too rciful?
