She attributed everything with Asher Land to the whims of fate. Many tis, she didn’t want to believe in fate, but the further she went, the more she did.
Sophie Smith brought Asher Land back to her newly rented apartnt. He was so drunk that he was unconscious. She felt a bit helpless, so she took off his suit jacket and let him rest on her small bed.
She noticed a small wine stain on his shirt. After so thought, she decided to take it off and wash it clean.
Her small hands unbuttoned his shirt one by one, revealing his muscular chest. No matter how many tis she’d given her body to him, every ti she saw his body, she couldn’t help but blush. She couldn’t help but scold herself inwardly for being useless; her skin was just too thin.
After struggling for a while, she finally got his shirt off. She was about to get up when his drunken self randomly pulled her, making her fall on top of him.
There was a strong sll of alcohol on him, which made Sophie instinctively frown. She tried to struggle free, but even in his sleep, Asher Land’s strength was surprisingly great.
He mumbled sothing, holding her tightly in his arms. The more she struggled, the harder he held her. Helpless, she learned to stay quiet, and she lay on his chest, carefully feeling his heartbeat.
She didn’t know how long it was until he fell asleep again. Only then did she slip out of his embrace. She ran to the bathroom, washed his shirt clean, dried it, and hung it on the balcony.
She gently closed the bedroom door, walked to the living room sofa, and covered herself with his suit jacket.
The single sofa was a bit small, so she had to curl up her body. At least this way, she could barely sleep for the night.
That night, he seed to sleep especially well. When he woke up, looking at the small house and the completely unfamiliar environnt, he was a bit confused.
After sleeping off his hangover, his head throbbed painfully. He sat up from the bed, walked out bare-chested.
As soon as he opened the door, he imdiately saw Sophie curled up on the sofa.
Her thin body was covered with his jacket, her eyes closed, sleeping soundly.
Uncontrollably, the corners of his mouth curved into a smile. He deliberately lightened his steps and approached her.
He bent down and placed a kiss on her lips.
Sophie suddenly sensed sothing and abruptly opened her eyes.
"Good morning." He flashed an innocent smile.
On instinct, Sophie bounced up from the sofa, keeping a distance from him.
"I’m not going to eat you; why are you so afraid of ?" Asher Land found her reaction sowhat laughable. "Thank you for last night."
"No need to thank ." Sophie tossed the jacket in her hand to him. "The shirt’s on the balcony. There’s bread and milk in the fridge. You can leave after breakfast."
Was she so eager to send him away? He was more than willing to spend a little more ti with her here.
"I don’t have to work today. Why don’t you let stay for the day?"
"Impossible!"
In Asher Land’s eyes, her refusal was of no use. He searched around her room, found a towel, and headed straight to the bathroom.
"What are you doing?" Sophie quickly stepped forward, blocking the bathroom door.
"Taking a shower, what else?" He nonchalantly moved her aside. "I’m feeling uncomfortable all over right now."
Listening to the sound of water splashing in the bathroom, Sophie was both angry and frustrated. Did he treat this place like his own ho?
No way, she must make him leave once he’s done showering.
Finally, when he erged from the bathroom, she was about to say sothing when she saw him rummaging around the living room.
"Where’s the hairdryer?"
She had to run back to the room to fetch the hairdryer for him. He dried his hair, leisurely sat on the sofa, and turned on the TV.
"Can you leave now?"
"Are you going to let go out like this?" Asher Land stood up. He was barefoot, with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
