"Hazel Quinn, we’re in the wrong here. Is there any way to resolve this?" Sophie Smith asked.
"Yes."
Sophie and Julia both inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, as if seeing a glimr of hope for easing the situation.
"Take off the clothes you’re wearing and give them to , and then leave the show."
Sophie hadn’t expected Hazel Quinn’s solution to be like this. Many people stood around, nodding in agreent.
"You’re just an actress without much fa, this shouldn’t wrong you, right?" Hazel’s tone remained calm. Sophie felt as if she was at the center of a storm, everyone watching her coldly, unwilling to speak up for her.
Julia was extrely upset, all this trouble was caused by her, but now Sophie had to bear it for her. This chance to walk the fashion show was hard-earned by Sophie, and Julia didn’t want her to miss out on such a good opportunity because of her.
Julia seed to rember sothing, she secretly took out her phone and quietly sent a text while everyone was distracted.
"After hesitating this long, are you agreeing or not? I still can’t figure out what qualifies you to stand here, nor can I understand how you beca the leading lady of City of Desire?" Hazel’s lips curled in a smile, "Sorry, I don’t an to belittle you, I just genuinely don’t see anything remarkable about you."
"You’re right, I have no remarkable qualities. Compared to , you’re more qualified to wear this outfit." Sophie said, and then turned around to head to the dressing room.
Just before she could leave, she bumped into a tall figure.
"Where are you going?" A cold voice sounded from above her head, she raised her head in surprise.
Asher Land, how could he be here?
"President Land, you’re here!" Julia ran excitedly to the door like she’d seen a savior. She knew that today’s show was sponsored by Golden Era and Asher Land was invited as a guest viewer, so she had just sent a text to Asher Land, though she was unsure if he would attend before sending it.
Indeed, initially Asher Land had no intention of attending, but when he learned Sophie was the show model, he agreed without hesitation.
"I’m going to change clothes, move aside, there’s not enough ti if I don’t hurry."
"Who told you to change?"
Julia glanced at Hazel, and in front of Asher, Hazel’s aura instantly weakened.
"President Land, it was ."
"You?" Asher Land snorted coldly, "By what right?"
Hazel didn’t speak, and the crowd watching the drama had no intention of speaking either.
"Forget it, move aside. This is my fault, I need to change clothes." Sophie reiterated.
"But I like seeing you in this outfit."
"So what?" Probably only she dared to speak to Asher Land like this.
"So, regardless of who tells you to take it off, I forbid it." Obviously, Asher Land was speaking to Hazel.
Hazel’s face turned white, Asher Land’s words truly left her without options, and there were whispers around, probably laughing at her.
"Since President Land has spoken, I should not persist in my request to Miss Smith." Hazel tried to make her voice calm, "I will leave the show imdiately."
After she finished speaking, Hazel prepared to leave, Asher Land made it clear, she simply didn’t have the ability to escalate the situation before him.
"By the way, let say one more thing." Asher Land looked at everyone present, but no one dared to et his gaze.
"Earlier at the door, I overheard you questioning why Sophie could replace you as the lead in City of Desire, I can tell you now, because she is my woman, Asher Land’s woman."
Because she is my woman, Asher Land’s woman.
