Nathan Land took the whip from Luke Land’s hand, raised it, and struck Asher Land’s back.
Sophie Smith’s face was sowhat pale; she had her mouth open, clearly frightened.
No one in the room dared to plead for leniency. Nathan Land said nothing and swung another heavy lash backward.
"Stop hitting him!" Sophie stood in front of Asher Land, but this ti Asher didn’t grab her hand; instead, he pushed her aside forcefully.
"Get away!" He growled lowly at her.
Sophie had wanted to shield him, but how could Nathan Land show rcy to Asher Land because of her? The whip swung down, one lash after another.
His gray sweater was soaked with a large amount of blood, faintly revealing the torn skin from the whipping, a bloody ss.
His lips were pale as he struggled to support his body. Nathan Land was determined to make him kneel, so the whip struck his leg again.
He couldn’t endure it, and he fell to one knee.
"Master, I beg you, stop hitting him!" Nanny Garcia knelt down, dragging Nathan Land’s sleeve, tears streaming down as she watched her young master endure this pain; her heart ached.
"Get out!" Nathan Land kicked Nanny Garcia in the chest; seeing this, Irene Morton quickly stepped forward to help her up.
One lash, two lashes, ...
Nathan Land just wouldn’t stop. Sophie wanted to approach but was held tightly in place by Luke Land.
"If you go up now, you’ll only make him suffer more lashes!" Luke furrowed his brow and whispered in her ear.
Sophie didn’t care; seeing Asher being beaten like this, she couldn’t stand idly by. Even if approaching wouldn’t help him, she was willing to suffer the lashes alongside him.
"Uncle Land, please stop!" Irene Morton shielded Asher Land, tear-filled eyes looking at Nathan Land.
"Are you trying to take the lashes for her again?"
Again?
Indeed, how many tis had she stood by his side in the past?
Nathan Land’s hand paused in mid-air, hesitating for a long ti, but eventually lowered the whip.
He tossed the whip to the ground with a cold scoff.
"These dozen lashes are to make you learn a lesson. I won’t attend your birthday either!"
"Sir, you, you an..." Alia Williams stood aside, feigning panic.
"Go back!"
A trace of astonishnt flashed across everyone’s face; running over and then running back—wasn’t this pointless?
But Nathan Land said one thing, and no one dared to say another. As he left, everyone followed him out.
The once lively Land Family villa suddenly beca sowhat quiet.
Irene stood there, refusing to leave.
"Irene, co back with ." Colton Morton coldly said that her words and actions today embarrassed the Morton Family. As the daughter of the Morton Clan Group, how could she lose her dignity for a man?
"Dad, I don’t want to go back!"
"Whether you want to or not, you’re going back." Colton forcibly dragged her small fra outside, ignoring her struggles.
With that, everyone left, leaving just Asher Land and Sophie Smith in the master bedroom.
"Are you okay?" She approached him anxiously, wanting to help him up.
"Ugh..." He inhaled deeply, a piercing pain spreading throughout his body.
He knelt on the ground; it seed only this way could alleviate the pain on his body.
