She specifically went to the supermarket to buy so fruits and ingredients for cooking. Tonight, she had to treat herself well.
She took out the key, ready to open the door, but she discovered the door was unlocked, only ajar.
Could Asher Land have returned?
She gently pushed the door open, but what she saw inside shocked her.
A heap of ssy clothes lay scattered on the floor, and from inside the room ca so unspeakable noises. The paper bag full of food in her hand slipped to the ground, and fruits rolled out of the bag.
She stood there blankly, motionless for a long while.
The people in the room heard the commotion, and soone ran out, unexpectedly it was Anna.
"Sophie Smith, why are you here?" Anna’s face was a little flushed as she tightly wrapped herself in a towel.
Why was she here?
Ha, how should she answer her?
After a short mont, Asher Land ca out wearing a white robe. Anna hurried to stand by his side, wrapping her arms around his, looking shy.
"Dear, I’m sorry, I forgot to lock the door," Asher Land whispered in Anna’s ear.
Sophie Smith’s body couldn’t help trembling; she didn’t understand what Asher Land ant. He was the one who wanted her to live here, but he also brought another woman ho!
"Are you still going to stand there?" Asher Land asked with a frown.
"Sorry to disturb you. I’m leaving." Sophie Smith walked out without looking back.
"Really!" Anna pouted, complaining discontentedly, "President Land, did it ruin your mood? Don’t worry, Anna will make you satisfied."
"Pick up your clothes and get out!" Asher Land said impatiently.
"President, President Land, what do you an?" Anna clearly hadn’t reacted to Asher Land’s unpredictable mood.
"I said, get out!"
Asher Land was like an enraged lion; Anna tremblingly changed into her clothes, then hurriedly left.
The reason he brought Anna back today was partly due to seeing so intimate gestures between her and Wyatt Sterling in the crew today, so he brought Anna back out of a sense of vengeance. Secondly, he wanted to test how she would react when she saw him with another woman, but her indifferent response infuriated him.
In short, she had made him not himself at all.
"Damnit!" He irritably kicked over the potted plant nearby and then grabbed a bottle of red wine, pouring it into his mouth.
Deep in the night, Sophie Smith wandered alone on the deserted street, unsure of what she was sad about. She hated the man who toyed with her, treating her like dirt.
He would call her when he wanted and dismiss her when he didn’t. He didn’t love her, yet insisted on keeping her by his side, imprisoning her, torturing her. He had countless won; why couldn’t he let her go? In Asher Land’s heart, she was rely an inconsequential substitute.
She sat on the bench, a cold wind blew, and she couldn’t help but wrap her thin body with her arms.
Her mind was blank, and she buried her head between her legs. She had beco this fallen state because of Asher Land.
"Asher Land, I hate you!" She couldn’t hold it any longer and shouted it out loud. She needed to vent, or she would suffocate herself.
"Does hating need to be declared to the world?"
Sophie Smith was suddenly startled and turned her head, discovering Asher Land standing a few steps away from her. She was a bit shocked, stood up, and stared straight at him.
