"To , Nathan Land, the only way to show loyalty is to obey without consequences."
Obey?
"I give you two choices. One is to return to the European Headquarters and work under my watch. If I believe you truly bear no other intentions, I’ll let you go back to Asia for developnt. The second choice is to marry Irene."
Obviously, both choices are unacceptable to Asher Land.
"What? Hesitating?" Nathan Land sneered, "If you don’t have that loyalty, don’t boast."
"Give two more years. If the Golden Era Consortium doesn’t get the developnt you want in Asia or if you find out I am not loyal to Golden Era, you can summon back at any ti."
"Develop and then summon you back if you’re disloyal? Wouldn’t that be too late?" Nathan Land won’t be fooled so easily.
"Father, you’re underestimating your own capabilities. If I manage to take over the Golden Era Consortium within two years, it would be an insult to you, wouldn’t it?" Asher Land showed no signs of backing down. Nathan Land is a fiercely competitive person, and he certainly wouldn’t allow anyone to question his abilities.
"Fine, I’ll give you two years." Indeed, Nathan Land agreed.
However, Colton Morton sitting on the side was sowhat uneasy. Asher Land’s refusal to marry into the Morton Family left him uncertain. The Morton Clan Group’s strength still lags behind the Golden Era Consortium. But the future is always unpredictable. After all, every group acts based on interests in the business world. There are no perpetual friends, only eternal interests. What if one day Golden Era harbors ill intent against the Morton Clan Group?
Golden Era is in a continuous expansion phase. You never know its next move, its next target.
But Nathan Land has spoken and given Asher Land so leeway, so he cannot say much more. Yet, this matter won’t end easily. Asher Land, he will definitely make him part of the Morton Family!
"Since Father agreed, I suppose I don’t need to attend tomorrow’s shareholders’ eting?"
He doesn’t want to see Enzo Land leading a group to reproach him.
"You need not attend. Spend the next half month at Headquarters discussing with your brother the future developnt of Golden Era."
Asher Land nodded and then turned to leave.
Seeing him walk away, Colton Morton voiced.
"Brother Land, about Asher and Irene’s matter..."
"Brother, you don’t need to worry about that. Irene should still be able to wait for these two years. After two years, regardless of whether he successfully expands Golden Era Consortium in Asia, I’ll bring him back to marry Irene."
Nathan Land’s words certainly gave Colton Morton peace of mind. Indeed, Irene Morton and the Morton Clan Group could wait for two years.
Asher Land returned to his bedroom and took off his tea-stained suit.
"Looks like you got lectured by the old man again." Luke Land sat in his room, eating fruit and playing on his phone, looking quite carefree.
"Have you thought it over? How will you handle tomorrow’s shareholders’ eting?"
"The old man has spoken. He won’t summon back to Headquarters for these two years, so whatever Enzo Land says is useless."
"Damn, what trick did you use to convince the old man? Or did you make so deal with him?"
Deal?
There was certainly a deal, but he believed it would soon be torn apart. What he needed to do was to take Golden Era Consortium from the old man’s hands within these two short years.
Only then could he break free from his control and avenge his mother.
