"Little Sophie, don’t be so tense, I’m doing well." Christopher Smith saw the nervous expression on Sophie Smith’s face and couldn’t help but comfort her.
"I’m sorry, Dad, it’s my fault. I should have taken better care of you. I shouldn’t have trusted Oliver Johnson." Sophie Smith felt a bit guilty.
"Little Sophie, what are you saying!" Christopher Smith frowned in displeasure, "Mr. Johnson has treated well. He specifically hired a dical team to treat . If it weren’t for him, my health couldn’t have improved." Christopher seed not to like the tone Sophie just used. In his heart, Oliver Johnson was like a lifesaver.
"Dad, please don’t trust him so easily. He’s not a good person." Sophie Smith felt sowhat helpless.
"What do you an by not a good person?" Christopher glared at her, "Little Sophie, you must know gratitude and repaynt. I won’t allow you to speak about Mr. Johnson this way."
"Dad..." Sophie felt an unexplainable anger. Damn Oliver Johnson, just how much had he deluded her father’s mind?
"Where is he now? I want to see him. So words are better said face to face, lest you can’t distinguish between good and bad people."
"Good people and bad people?" Christopher’s expression also soured, "Mr. Johnson is the villain, and Asher Land is the good guy?"
Sophie was slightly taken aback. She didn’t understand why Christopher’s prejudice against Asher Land was so strong. Truly, it was as if ten horses couldn’t drag him back.
Naturally, Sophie now had to learn to speak well of Asher Land.
"Dad, Asher Land isn’t like what you think. He’s actually quite nice, and he’s very concerned about ..."
"Did you fall in love with him?"
Though she knew her daughter had always had an entangled relationship with Asher Land, he never thought that one day she would truly fall for that man.
"Dad, could you not change the topic..." Sophie actually didn’t plan to tell Christopher about this. His health wasn’t great, and if he got upset hearing about it, it could be bad. "I just don’t want you to have a bias against Asher Land."
"Answer , did you fall in love with him?" Christopher pressed relentlessly, just seeking an answer.
"Yes." Sophie lowered her head, not daring to et Christopher’s eyes.
"Little Sophie, you, you..." Christopher clutched his chest, clearly upset by her words.
"How can you do this to Mr. Johnson?"
"Can you not bind together with Oliver Johnson? Everything between us is your fabrication. He doesn’t like ; he only uses !"
Oliver Johnson stood in a hidden spot behind her, a wry smile curling at the corner of his mouth as he silently recited what she said.
Can you not bind together with Oliver Johnson? Everything between us is your fabrication. He doesn’t like ; he only uses !
He shook his head, turned around, and walked away without hesitation.
He thought, she doesn’t want to see him. If they did et, she’d only stand opposed to him.
"Don’t say things so unpleasantly. Thinking such things about Mr. Johnson truly disappoints ."
Sophie wanted to say more, but Christopher no longer wished to listen. He summoned the caretaker to take him away.
"Dad, where are you going?" Sophie blocked the doorway, preventing him from leaving.
"When you co to understand fully, then co see again!"
"Don’t jump into the fire pit, okay?" Sophie also showed so temper. "I won’t allow you to have relations with Oliver Johnson. He can hire a dical team for you, but so can I. Don’t forget; I am your daughter." She spoke with determination.
