At the dining table, Nanny Garcia cautiously moved closer to Sophie Smith, taking advantage of Asher Land not having co downstairs yet.
"Miss Smith, why does it feel like the Young Master has been acting a bit strange lately?"
"Strange?" Sophie contemplated, "Strange how?"
"I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it feels like his mood has improved a lot."
Improved mood counts as strange? Does it an him being gloomy all day and losing his temper is normal?
"Nanny Garcia, you’re overthinking it." Sophie sat by the dining table, flipping through a magazine, quietly waiting for Asher Land to co down for dinner. She waited a long ti before she finally saw Asher land dawdling his way downstairs.
"Why are you so slow?" she complained unhappily.
Ha, slow?
"Sophie, if you had been with earlier, I’d have resolved my problems quickly." Did he really need such a long cold shower?
Sophie blushed, knowingly closed her mouth, and served a bowl of soup in front of him.
He noticed that their relationship was slowly moving towards normalcy, just like ordinary people, having the most usual romance...
Hmm, the word ’romance’ inexplicably lifted his spirits.
Although they were together before, they never truly were honest with one another.
"Why are you staring at ?" Sophie noticed Asher Land’s gaze glued to her and felt a bit uncomfortable.
"Do we look like a couple now?" He awkwardly asked the question, recalling how earlier while coming downstairs, he overheard the maid tidying up the room talking about it. They all seed to realize the change in his relationship with Sophie; she was no longer just a bed companion, but the woman he was falling in love with.
"Not at all." Sophie shook her head, not noticing Asher Land’s slightly grim expression.
"How not?"
Upon his retort, she put down her chopsticks and looked at him seriously.
"Have you seen people like us in a romance? Ideally, a relationship should be romantic, shouldn’t it?"
"Maybe there’s a generation gap between you and ."
"Cough, cough..." Asher Land almost choked on his water.
Generation gap? What does she an? Is she saying he’s old?
"Sophie, explain yourself clearly!"
Realizing Young Master Land might be angry, Sophie felt a head ache forming. How should she explain?
"Oh, um, what I an is, you’re older than , maybe your way of being in a relationship is different than mine. Romancing isn’t only about sleeping together, there are many other things to do..."
"..."
"Nowadays, many won like the older type like you, but I don’t want to romance with an older man..." Sophie figured teasing Asher Land was quite amusing. She knew he wouldn’t do anything to her, so she spoke more and more recklessly.
"Are you calling an old man?" Asher Land glared at her; damned woman, did she forget to take her dicine today?
"You’re almost 30, aren’t you an old man..." she mumbled.
"Fine." He took a deep breath from the bottom of his heart, trying not to let his emotions show to her, "Then tell , what kind of romance are you looking for?"
"Just a bit of romance would be nice." Sophie replied offhandedly, honestly, there’s no such thing as being romantic or not romantic, following him for such a long ti, she was already used to the way they interacted.
"You eat; I’m not eating." Asher Land tossed down his chopsticks, leaving behind a bewildered Sophie.
Okay, apparently once again she said sothing wrong.
